They are supposed to provide necessary fiber and have added probiotics as well. I didn't notice any discomfort at all with these and they helped me stay regular. I've been consistent with taking them in the mornings with my breakfast and I notice a difference especially with being less bloated overall. I'll continue to take these with my breakfast and see how they perform over time but so far I haven't noticed any discomfort or side effects and feel less bloated in general.
