I’ve always used Fresh Step brands and decided to give the Heavy Duty Fabreze version a try. Odor wise…fantastic. It no longer smells like I am running a pet store, while it’s mild enough not to give a strong cover it up smell. Clumps well and easy to clean up. There is some litter dust when pouring, but that’s true of any litter I have ever used. I got a 22.5 lb box which is the perfect size...enough litter, but me still being able to carry it. But by far the most important aspect of it…my cats always go in the litter box!

I don’t typically splurge on cat litter because let’s be serious, we throw it away! However, after trying Fresh Step Heavy Duty, I will not be returning to my old cat litter. It holds clumps pretty tightly and makes it easy to clean out the litter box. Plus, the Febreze scent lasts until your next litter change. It's a must-have in my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this litter for approx 2 weeks now, and I’d say it’s pretty good. I have 1 cat and I clean the litter box every 2-3 days since it’s pretty big. It clumps like a normal clumping litter, but I’ve noticed it tends to stay wet and while scooping it can kind of just crumble. This litter is definitely on the dustier side, and I noticed that my cat sneezed almost every time she got out of the litter box, so I mixed some of her old litter in with it and she’s had no issues since. When it comes to tracking, I didn’t notice any difference than usual, my cat has a way of getting litter all over the floor no matter what. Overall, good litter, it does its job.

The clumping is really good, if you have cats who pee on the side it will stick to the litter box. I had no issues with dust when cleaning the box or changing the litter and also noticed less dust then usual around the box or on the floor. I did like how this came in 4 smaller bags, while I pain to get the carton inside, it was super easy when changing out litter. 1 bag worked perfectly for when I did full litter box clean outs. Overall im really happy with this litter and the price is pretty good too.

He started using it right away without hesitation, and I was relieved to see he had no bad reactions to it. No sneezing, no paw irritation, and no litter box avoidance, which made the switch stress free. One of the biggest positives is the odor control. The Febreze scent is light and not overwhelming, but it works really well at keeping the litter box area fresh. Even after multiple uses, I don’t notice any strong odors lingering, and I believe the absorption rate is pretty fast which is a big improvement compared to other brands I’ve tried. The litter clumps quickly and firmly, which makes scooping easy and prevents that soggy, broken apart mess some litters leave behind. I was also pleasantly surprised at how low the dust is. When pouring or scooping, there’s barely any cloud, which is great for both me and my cat’s lungs. in addition, there’s minimal tracking around the house. I’ll occasionally see a few grains outside the box, but it’s nothing excessive and definitely less than with other litters we’ve used.

The clumping was very good for cleanup. I did not experience too much dust as I filled the litter box slowly. This is a very effective and good quality litter!
