They are effective as far as keeping you dry with its great absorbency. You can't even tell you are wearing them through your clothes. They also do not let out a scent.

However, they felt like they wouldn't leak while doing any type of activity. They did absorb like you would think a diaper does. I wear a size M panties, and these fine!
