Classic vanilla flavor with just the right aroma. We bake a lot of homemade treats for the family and Magnolia-Star always adds just the right flavor. If you use this product pay close attention to the cap on the bottle. The caps are easily broken and you will find yourself taping the cap. This could be improved on.

Great product

It must have been a slow day at the shipping department when they packed and sent this. My new 8oz jar of vanilla arrived speedily, packed separately in a 12"x16"x28" box with no less than 125' of packing paper. After I opened the top of the box and attempted to discover what was inside, I started pulling out paper strips hand over hand and felt like I was part of a cartoon show, like the one where the guy keeps pulling out the never-ending handkerchief from the clown's pocket....Made my day!

I have bought two bottles of this vanilla. The first one was excellent and we loved it. I just opened the second one today and it's like a completely different product. It smells nothing like vanilla and it gave a bitter flavor to my frosting. I won't buy this brand again just because I don't know if it will be good or not. This whole bottle is unusuable.

I used it for my sons birthday cake and it was very disappointing. I ended up using more vanilla than I normally do in my frosting and I kept having to tweak the recipe. It was very frustrating. I tossed the whole thing out and will continue to use McCormick. It’s a shame because I really wanted to like it for the price.

I am not a vanilla connoisseur but I have noticed this product just does not have a great flavor without over using. I am using, on average, almost double of what I normally would. At this price point, it's too expensive to double. Going back to McCormick. I gave it a shot.

I just bought a bottle Magnolia-Star for the first time a couple of weeks ago and have already used it probably a dozen times. It's incredible. My daughter is getting into baking and has become obsessed with it...she now insists on putting Vanilla in absolutely anything she touches. That was never the case with the vanillas I've used before. It's not a brand I had ever seen before but I took a chance and am so happy I did. Totally premium product despite its low price (for an 8 oz bottle of Pure Madagascar, $12.98 is absolutely insane). Looks like they make an Almond & Lemon extract as well. Haven't tried yet but have bottles of each on the way...
