Only buy pure vanilla extract for baking so when I saw this was a better value than McCormick, I compared the ingredient list and decided to give it a try. I have not yet opened the bottle so all I can say right now is the price is right. With price of food, I am willing to give a comparable product a try.

I used it for my sons birthday cake and it was very disappointing. I ended up using more vanilla than I normally do in my frosting and I kept having to tweak the recipe. It was very frustrating. I tossed the whole thing out and will continue to use McCormick. It’s a shame because I really wanted to like it for the price.

Good taste

This is it! It has the good aroma you would expect of Vanilla extract. Makes everything smell & taste better! Great price also, here at Sam’s Club. I ordered online, but it came unprotected and just about half leaked out. Still, at this price, I would order again.

I have bought two bottles of this vanilla. The first one was excellent and we loved it. I just opened the second one today and it's like a completely different product. It smells nothing like vanilla and it gave a bitter flavor to my frosting. I won't buy this brand again just because I don't know if it will be good or not. This whole bottle is unusuable.

Why Sams? Why do you keep getting rid of the things I buy only to replace it with Members Mark brand? Just carry both so those of us who want our regular item can still buy it. This stuff is NOT good. Bring back my McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract Please!

I wish I could give it 0 stars. This stuff has a NASTY taste and weak vanilla flavor...McCormick is soo much better. My guess is anyone who gave this 5 stars was paid to do so. I wasted my money and ruined a batch of muffins using this non flavored liquid.

I bought this when I couldn't find McCormick's in the store. NEVER AGAIN. I'd rather not make anything that calls for vanilla than have to triple or quadruple the quantity to have a hint of vanilla flavor. I made a batch of cookies with this stuff tonight that I've made for many years for the holidays. They were so "blah." This was the only ingredient that was different. I had not taken the time to smell the contents before using because I'd heard good things about the product. I feel so badly for those who think this is good vanilla. They're missing out on so much better flavor in their creations.
