A flying insect trap that really works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This Stem Flying Insect Light Trap really works!! I put it in my kitchen where some fruit flies were buzzing around and within an hour it had caught some flies. I love that there are no harmful chemicals, and the light is attractive enough that it doesn't stand out in a bad way. I also like that I'm still able to use the plug underneath it when plugged into the top outlet. Highly recommend to anyone with a fruit fly problem.

Effective Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I like that this product is free of pesticide and I don't have to worry about it potential being harmful to anyone. It's also very easy to put together and use although for the price I feel it's a little high considering it doesn't come with any refills so using it can be potentially pricey. I also like that the light attracts a variety of bugs and will be great for spring/summer when I tend to have more flying insects in the house. Already in the short amount of time I've had it the light has caught a few flying insects so it does seem to work.

I will definitely buy this product again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I purchased the stem flying insect light trap. The first thing I really like about it was it's very easy to set up. I didn't get sticky anywhere during the process. It doesn't have an overly ugly look to it. Fly traps of the past have always made a giant mess and are very ugly to look at. I like the Simplicity of this one. The light is actually not very distracting at all. It's been plugged in for a short time and I've already caught one fruit fly! I think this product is going to work well.

Doubles as a night light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. We placed this light trap in our kitchen by the back door to help reduce the amount of flies and mosquitoes that make their way in. The surface is very sticky. I like that there's no smells or chemicals. It also makes a good nightlight!

Works well in my Kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I have used other types of insect traps, so I was excited to be able to try this one. Very easy to set up with clear concise instructions. I used in my kitchen and the light was just enough to serve as a nightlight also. I've had guests ask about the light and It has already captured some pesky fruit flies. I like that it's safe for people and pets and that I can purchase refills and reuse the plug.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try out this STEM brand vlue light plug in insect trap, which was made for indoor use and is child resistant. I have a rental property that I am fixing back up to list again after the last tenants left. They left behind an infestation of bugs and so I thought this would be a great time to try it out. It worked amazing! I like that it comes with a refill, and that the refill boxes in general are pretty cheap. I am going to buy another light to use at my own personal home, as well. I do have a toddler, so I am very glad to have found a product that takes kids safety measures into account. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a bug problem.

Super sticky traps!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I really like the flying insects light trap by STEM. The blue light attracts all types of flying insects into it. The traps have a nice sticky glue that keeps insects held onto it. I also like that these are pet friendly so I am not worried if my dog goes near it.

Must have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I initially set up the devices, I waited 24 hours to see if they caught anything. The sticky pads were completely clean. I filed a return request and then packed one up. I moved the other device to a different room, just in the hopes that maybe, MAYBE it'd catch something there. And boy did it. Holy smokes. The other one caught so many flies it looked like the sticky pad had been dipped into a jar of flies (where my Alice in Chains fans at? lol. But seriously...). I cancelled the return request, unpacked the second device and moved it into different room than where I had placed it previously, where it ended up working very well too. Here's some advice if you're not having luck with these: 1) Place the device in a room where it won't be competing with other light sources, especially sunlight. For instance, there're no windows in my bathrooms, neither one gets very much light from any nearby windows, and it is absolutely comical how many flies the devices catch in there. When I initially set them out, they were in my kitchen, which is open to the living room with a large window in it, so they both receive a lot of light for nearly 2/3rds of the day, so these devices did not catch anything there. 2) To really be effective against fruit flies, take away competing temptations such as food and places to lay eggs. And I do mean FORGET the finicky home made vinegar traps that seem to trap only a few, less evolved flies dumb enough to try to land directly on the liquid, and just feeds the rest (who thank you, btw). If it's possible for you, store fruits and veggies that you might typically keep out on your counter or wherever in your fridge until the population has been reduced. If you are able, only throw "dry" trash away in your trash bins (non-food related paper type stuff), and throw "wet" trash such as food discards and wet paper towels into smaller grocery bags (maybe double bag it tho) and place that bag in the refrigerator or freezer, somewhere where it's not coming into contact with food and beverages, until you're ready to put it outside your home to be collected. And if you're wondering what to do for areas that do have competing light sources, personally I use the SafeHome uv type devices and they work very well where the STEM ones don't. Or, get yourself a nice fly swatter, wait for them to congregate on a window or a large white surface during daylight hours and then smack the crap out of 'em. You'll of course need some glass cleaner and newspaper or other wipes to clean the surface afterward, but such is the price of fruit fly war.

Stem bug catcher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I loved this product it trapped so many bugs within a few hours. I also like the soft blue light because it helps as a night light and you can't even tell it's a big trap. It was very satisfying to see the bugs trapped in the sticky pad.
