The product helps catch so many little bugs that I didn't even know where in my home! The blue light on this item is not as bright as the other traps I have used in the past which I think is nice and easy on the eyes. I think this product is great for the kitchen as that is where gnats and bugs can be found due to the food source.

Fruit flies invaded my kitchen a few months ago during warmer weather and a population of about 30 of the little blighters stubbornly remain. I prefer not to unleash insect spray around food preparation areas, so this flying insect trap seems a better option. It was quite easy to set up; the double-sided sticky pad slides into a slot behind the blue light. I chose to plug it in near the epicenter of fruit fly activity, not surprisingly the fruit bowl. That may be playing dirty but those flies had their chance! I appreciate the design of this; the sticky panel is safely behind the light so my cats will not brush against it and get stuck. It's also more aesthetic to have the caught insects concealed from view. This trap is also supposed to work for mosquitos, gnats and moths, so those species can consider themselves forewarned if they venture inside. (Well, I'd catch and release moths outside.) This trap is silent and emits no odor and the blue light is only a little brighter than an alarm clock radio, so it probably wouldn't be bothersome in a bedroom at night.

You just need to peel off two stickers and put the refill on the mechanism (any side is fine), and that's it! it has a blue light that attracts mosquitos, which is great. The product was very easy to use, you just peel the protective tape off the insert and click it into place on the trap. Once you plug the trap in a nice blue light comes on. The idea is for the light to attract the insects and then for them to get stuck! There is lots of space on the insert for the insects to become trapped and I think this will work very well! Summer is when I have the most issue with fruit flies, so I haven't had a chance to really test it out yet, but I think it will attract and collect the insects for me. Once the trap is full it will be very easy to replace for the next round!
