This starter kit includes a plug-in light device and a double-sided adhesive sticky trap. It is very easy to set up, and the plug can rotate 90 degrees, allowing for upright or sideways positioning to fit wherever you need it. One of the standout features of this trap is its double-sided adhesive, which collects more insects and lasts twice as long compared to single-sided sticky traps. It is free from chemicals and insecticides, making it safe for people, plants, and pets. This makes the STEM Flying Insects Light Trap an ideal choice for a bug trap in your home!

This is a such a neat concept that I can't wait to really implement this spring and summer! We get fruit flies and flies so easily during the warmer months from the kids and the dogs running in and out all day. I love the way this looks and it's a discreet way to stop the annoying flies. The replacement pieces for this are a reasonable price and super easy to use and replace. I have pets and children so a safe solution to pest control is a must! I appreciate this being non toxic and safe for our pets and kids to be around. I like the blue light that emits from this trap. I will likely buy more for different rooms or for my husbands work office.

Not only is it very aesthetically pleasing, it was super easy to assemble. I love that there is no toxic chemical associated with this trap. And within the first 30 seconds of plugging it in, I already had one fly stuck to it. We get fruit flies every year and have tried many different solutions, which have not yielded the results we wanted .I am giving this one a try and it already looks very promising.

I purchased this and immediately plugged it in - within minutes I had caught several of the mosquitos plaguing my home. I love how easily this works to catch bugs and how hands free it is. I do not love the blue light though, so we do unplug it when we are in that room.

This is basically a soft blue light that has a detachable plastic piece that goes behind it with a sticky surface on it. The bugs are supposed to get attracted to the light and then get caught on the sticky surface behind the light. The product costs about $20 give or take. The instructions say to use it in an upright position, but I don't see how that would matter. It also specifically says it is not for use outdoors and not to be used with extension cords or three prong adapters. It is okay to use it 24/7 but it does say you have to refill it every 2 weeks for best performance. I would say given the price and the 2 week duration with potential limited range this may or may not be for you unless you have a very high concentration of flying insects in one area like a bathroom or a garage, but then that sticky sheet is going to get filled up really fast and it's about $10 for a refill so other methods are probably going to end up being better for a longer term solution. It states that it works on food flies, mosquitoes, gnats, and moths. It states that it is people and pet friendly, & insecticide free. Ultimately I would rather use a chemical solution and destroy all the bugs at once then have to grab this messy piece of plastic with them all stuck to it but that's just my personal opinion. I hate bugs and I'm not going to take any shortcuts when it comes to getting rid of them. Your personal choice and feelings may be different. If you have a mild flying insect problem and want to remain chemical free and have extra money to spare this may be the option for you.
