My husband has thinning hair and suffers from hair loss as well. He has been using Rogaine for 7 weeks now. After 5-6 weeks I noticed a slight improvement although he did not. Although it is not a dramatic improvement the hair and scalp look slightly revitalized. He will continue to use until he finishes the trial. So far he did not have any side effects.

My Husband has used Rogaine foam for men for awhile and has yet to see any type of results except less money in his wallet from purchasing it. I guess it all depends on the type of hair thinning or loss to get results from it and he definitely doesn't fit fit into that group type

On someone with thicker darker hair it might be more noticeable. I think it works but probably not for everyone. The fact that if it works you have to keep using it to keep the results may not be ideal for some.

It does grow some new hair but it is negligible. Important to note is that you should use it twice a day.

My husband bought this because he wanted to experiment with what was out there before he caved and invested in hair plugs. All it did was make his hair thicker and coarser after using for three months, and no sign of added hair growth. Basically, this ended up being an overpriced volumizing mousse in his case. The fine print did say that there's a small percentage chance of it working for you, though.

After 4 months of daily use, my hair started to get fuller and thicker and I was seeing some new growth. It made me feel much more confident. I have been using this product for a little over a year now. I'm not really sure what effect it is having. While I'm a little disappointed that my hair isn't looking much fuller, a family member of mine thought it looked good and told me I should keep doing what I'm doing. It could very well be keeping my hair from getting any worse but my before and after photos are inconclusive to me. I guess I'm still using it because I'm afraid that my hair loss will accelerate if I stop, not really because I've seen great results.
