I've been using these refills consistently, and l've definitely noticed fewer mosquitoes hanging around our backyard and patio areas over time. What I like most is how easy the refill process is. It only takes a few minutes to swap everything out, and I appreciate that there are no strong chemical smells, sprays, or loud devices involved. The system quietly works in the background, which makes it much more convenient for everyday use. The 2 pack is also nice because it gives us coverage for a couple of months without having to constantly reorder. In Texas heat and humidity, mosquitoes can get out of control fast, especially after rain, but these refills have helped make being outside much more enjoyable for my family. TIP: don’t be like me and accidentally put it where the rain water falls off the roof, I had to move it under an awning so that’s why it looks powdery. I don't know if it is going to work because I won't be able to test it long term before the review is due. However it was really easy to set up! I didn't really like touching all the powder to connect the piece in the middle with the actual defence stuff on it. I am a little worried about feral animals trying to get in it. Idk we will see if it works! Easy to put together!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a mosquito magnet and I’m very excited to try this out to see if it works since it claims to kill the adult in nine days and prevents new larvae from developing in the container and other breeding sites that the adult visits. we have a ton of mosquitoes in the summer and they even fly into the house. this ortho home defense system was easy to set up in the instructions were simple and clear. The packaging is very practical and includes everything needed to get started right away. I placed it in a shaded area of my garden, and the effectiveness has been remarkable; I've seen great results with a significant decrease in mosquitoes, allowing me to enjoy my patio much more. We first placed it on the ground but quickly realized that with water in it, it will be too easy for our little child or dogs to tip it over. We moved it further away from the sitting area but that, I think, made it less useful because of the distance between the sitting area and where the product was located. Visually, the product is esthetically pleasing. However, the smell is strong and, too me, it makes it uncomfortable to be around it. We also didn't see much change with the amount of mosquitos flying around. Considering we have small child and pets and the product contains liquid and the container can be easily tipped over, and the fact that we didn't see a change in the number of mosquitos flying around, I would most likely skip purchasing this product.

So I don't want to spray insecticide around the yard that harm the plants and bees. This product solves my dilemma because it's traps the mosquitos before they breed. It is durable and storage is easy. It is reusable which is practical. It is also safe for outside pets. I love that it cover a large amount of square footage in your yard. I have almost an acre which is perfect for just one of this little thing. I can technically recommend this to any gardener.

I placed it on our patio at our restaurant that we own and it has prevented pesky mosquitoes from ruining our customers meals. I like that is easy to use and that it safe without any toxic chemicals. The container is easy to maintain and change out refill pads while still keeping a safe and clean environment. The starter kit is a great value and comes with a refill. Very easy to change out.

Station should be switched and refilled monthly so I'm glad I also got another refill band pack aside from the two that already came with the station. I recommend these and the station if you don't have it already. Great addition to the backyard to kill and prevent mosquitoes from your outside area! Dilutes great in the water and has good concentration to attract the mosquitoes.
