[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was very easy to set up! I was very excited to put this near the door where mosquitos are the worst! I love how you just put water in and add the tabs in. One great thing about it is the dial on the top to show which month you added it last! It absolutely does work. I noticed I could sit out where I always sit and not be miserable from the mosquitos. I will absolutely continue to use this and buy refills when I run out of the ones sent. It is contained to where my animals can’t get into it and it’s so simple to do. Great product and it works!

It does work and has kept down the mosquitoes around my door. I was happy they sent refills and I will buy new ones when I run out. If you have a problem with mosquitoes try this set up!

It takes a minute for it to start working but it works well so I have no complaints. They’re small and easy to dispose of. Very impressed with the whole system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Mosquito Kill and Protect Starter Kit is a really easy way to reduce mosquitos. I like it. We have really bad mosquitoes in our back yard in North Carolina over the summer and it really makes it a bummer to go back there. Other types of mosquito repellants are either sprays that I don’t want on my kids or require a charged battery or electricity. This kit is so easy. All you need is water and to set it out in your yard. Set it and forget it. It lasts for a month and then it just needs a refill strip. It covers over 4000 square feet so our entire yard is good to go. I would recommend it.

I have placed 2 of the Ortho Defence units on my property. After 2 weeks, I wish I could say the mosquito problem has been controlled. My landscaper sprayed the grass with a mosquito killer as well. There has been a lot of rain in my part of Florida. I give it a “maybe”it works rating.

We first placed it on the ground but quickly realized that with water in it, it will be too easy for our little child or dogs to tip it over. We moved it further away from the sitting area but that, I think, made it less useful because of the distance between the sitting area and where the product was located. Visually, the product is esthetically pleasing. However, the smell is strong and, too me, it makes it uncomfortable to be around it. We also didn’t see much change with the amount of mosquitos flying around. Considering we have small child and pets and the product contains liquid and the container can be easily tipped over, and the fact that we didn’t see a change in the number of mosquitos flying around, I would most likely skip purchasing this product.

I’ve had it in for 2-3 weeks and believe it’s still good. In terms of effectiveness it seems to have reduced the mosquitos a little but I’m waiting for a more drastic drop.

Not pet or child safe. This is essentially a bucket of water and chemicals. It has a 2 inch gap which would allow a dog to drink from it or kids to easily get in. It sys you can use in your backyard and it is pet safe. But then the directions say to use where there are not pets and children. Very misleading information and marketing.
