It's an ingenious idea of how to deminish mosquitos near our home. We didn't notice any smell or residue. It seems to be durable. It was nice that the kit included two refill bands to last for two months. We're looking forward to a lot of mosquito free outside time this summer in our backyard.

So I don't want to spray insecticide around the yard that harm the plants and bees. This product solves my dilemma because it's traps the mosquitos before they breed. It is durable and storage is easy. It is reusable which is practical. It is also safe for outside pets. I love that it cover a large amount of square footage in your yard. I have almost an acre which is perfect for just one of this little thing. I can technically recommend this to any gardener.

Takes a while for the mosquitos to disappear but I'd recommend putting it out early in the season before you're outside a lot just to get a jump start. The refills are easy to use and I've seen a huge drop in the mosquitos around our front porch area. Now I can sit on my porch and enjoy a book with no little biting menaces. Love it.

I like the sleek design I can put in my backyard without it standing out. I've started using it for about three weeks now and I can see that the mosquito population is decreasing which is great and hopefully by the next three months most of the mosquito population will be eliminated!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've using Ortho Home Defense Mosquito Kill and Prevent for several weeks now, and I'll admit - it's actually fun to set up. The design is simple, and it feels satisfying to put everything in place. The only reason I took off a star is because I'm not totally sure it's reducing mosquitoes yet. It seems to help a little, but I haven't seen a dramatic difference. I'm hoping it just needs more time to kick in. Still, it's easy to use, good quality and worth trying if you want something low effort for mosquito control.

Coverage seems to be decent as the reduction was noticeable across our entire patio living area. Cleanup is a breeze and application is very easy! Overall I feel this is a great product that has significantly increased our enjoyment of our outdoor space.

It would be nice to not need to put it in the shade. It seems to attract some mosquitoes and lower the population but it does require upkeep. It also does take about 10 days to start working an and requires every 30 day filter replacement. Worth it? Maybe. But spraying the yard works faster and well, too.

Does it work? I have noticed fewer mosquitoes, but it's not perfect. And we also spray our yard. It can work but it does take upkeep that seems rather frequent.
