Does it work? I have noticed fewer mosquitoes, but it's not perfect. And we also spray our yard. It can work but it does take upkeep that seems rather frequent.

I can tell it’s working because there are fewer mosquitoes, especially in the afternoons. It’s super easy to swap out the refill. There’s no strong smells. They are worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ortho Home Defense Mosquito Kill & Prevent Starter is a clever idea. Mosquitos are attached to the water in the container, which mimics an ideal breeding site. The included pesticide contaminates the eggs they lay, and then they spread the contaminate to other breeding sites. The larvae in the container and other breeding sites die, so new mosquitos can't develop. The pesticide "band" lasts for one month, and there is a tracker on top to know when to change it. I can't see the action as it's happening, but mosquitos are definitely attracted to it. I believe there will be less of them after the product does it's job. Seems like a very practical solution!

This system was so easy to use, and it actually worked. I’m excited to have this for the over the summer when it’s hard to hang out in the backyard because of the mosquitoes. It’s easy to move and didn’t have an odor I noticed. I especially like how you don’t batteries to use it. You just set it up and let it do its thing. I definitely recommend this system :)
