[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I setup the Ortho Home Defense Mosquito Kill and Prevent station a couple of days before the Fourth of July Holiday. We still had some mosquitos , but perhaps I did not set it up to give the chemicals the amount of time to work properly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems simple enough to set up and put outside of my house but I’m wondering if one is enough…or would 4 would be needed to put on each side? I placed it on the side of the house where water puddles after it rains. Hopefully they will go in it and it’ll work and I won’t see the little things anymore til after winter. Hopefully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems to be yet another great product from Ortho, my go to for big and insect control. This unit is very easy to setup. I love the fact that it is very simple and easy to refill. The convenient month teacher on top tab helps also to remember when to put in a refill. I've put my unit outside on the back patio where most of our outdoor activities take place. It has only been up for a week now but I have total faith that this method will work wonderfully. So nice not to have messy sprays and liquids to use. Will update as time passes or if any issues. Easy and convenient.

I would say it too about 3 minutes from arriving in my doorstep to having it setup and working in the backyard. It really is a nice and simple product to help reduce mosquitos. Maintenance is simple and each refill band lasts for a month at a time. I would say for a few minutes of work a month this is a worthwhile product to use.

Just replace the band every 30 days, check water level periodically and refill as needed.

It seems like a good idea to help lower the population of mosquitoes, by lessening their breeding, but that is a long term goal. I would much perfer an immediate option: kill the adults, not even letting them breed. It's heavy once you fill it with water and it's finicky. You have to have a careful hand when suspending the mesh ring to float on the surface.

It’s made a noticeable difference in reducing the number of mosquitoes around my home, especially in the yard where they used to swarm in the evenings. It’s easy to assemble by filling the device with water, adding the tablets and powder, putting on the inner refill ring, and snapping it all together. It starts working in about a week—definitely a game changer for enjoying the outdoors without constantly swatting bugs. One tip from personal experience: be careful not to dump the powder indoors or outside on a windy day. The powder is extremely fine and lightweight and can blow around easily, which makes it harder to dump into the basin. It even went airborne, which isn’t good being how toxic it is. Overall, it’s a really easy product to use that lasts up to 30 days. You do need to put in a new refill every month, but I like the “set it and forget it” simplicity. It also covers up to 4300 sq ft. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for long-lasting mosquito control!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set this up about June 25 and when I went to check it yesterday to see if it needed more water, I found that it had been totally disassembled by some animal, probably a raccoon, and all the water was gone. But, I noticed this morning that there were NO mosquitos and on the day I set the trap up, I was getting bitten while I was baiting it. So even with only a few days of use, it did the job. I did have trouble getting it to snap down, so that could be why it was so easy for an animal to destroy it. I will rebait it and put a weight on top this time.
