I was so shocked to see how many mosquitoes and little nat things were in it just in twenty four hours. It last a month and came with a extra month supply. Very greatful.

This year with all the rain the mosquitos have been more active, when I wanted to sit on my deck they would swarm us. Since putting this out, the mosquito activity has noticeably decreased.

One of the tablets in the refill kit was completely crumbled, but that is probably something that doesn't happen often. As far as how effective it is, my house is backed up to a creek, so mosquitoes are very bad. So while this product has not completely prevented them, I do think it has helped with some.

I’ve pretty well removed all sources of standing water on our property but skeeters keep coming. Tried citronella candles, garlic spray with leaf blower, mosquito dunks in gutters even though they drain but those little biters keep coming. Saw this product and giving it a try. EXCELLENT INSTRUCTIONS, product very sturdy and well made and easy to assemble. My suggestion on assembly is to open refill package into the DRY container. That way, all product safely put in container. When attaching the REFILL BAND to the FLOATER, it has “dog ears” on bottom. Attach to one side and then push the band towards the attached end. This will force the band to open and expand to make it more circular when you release it. Makes it easier to properly attach to float. I then placed it on level surface and then slowly filled with tap water to mark inside. Started to fill it with reclaimed rain water so no chlorine or smell but for now followed instructions. When you put the lid on it doesn’t secure until you put the red cap on. Red cap also has a circular disc numbered 1-12 so you can mark the month serviced. Also put in area where kids and critters cannot reach as if it turns over, everything is on the ground. Plan to try to update post at end of month where hopefully it gets 5 Stars when I have fewer bite marks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very happy with the Ortho Home defense spray in the past so I was hopeful this new Ortho Home Defense Mosquito Kill & Prevent station would be as good. So far, I have not been disappointed. It's been in used for about 14 days in my yard and I have seen a noticeable decline in the number of Mosquitos. It covers about 4300 sq ft of space so it's been perfect for my outside patio and surrounding area. It's best to place in an area and leave be but you could move if needed. It's small enough. Setup was very easy although be careful opening the powder package. The wind can take some. Each package last approximately 30 days so in my book, it's a very good value. If it continues to work as well as the first 2 weeks, this will be my seasonal go to mosquito product.

The assembly of the system takes minutes and the only maintenance is making sure it has water and replacing the band monthly. The only advice I have is to place this away from where you will spend time outdoors.

I like that it's set up so the mosquitos take the chemicals back with them to spread it out farther than just the 1 isolated location. Directions are simple and clear. Didn't take much time at all to set up. Placed it at the rear of our home to reduce bugs on the deck. Subtle design blends in nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set this up about June 25 and when I went to check it yesterday to see if it needed more water, I found that it had been totally disassembled by some animal, probably a raccoon, and all the water was gone. But, I noticed this morning that there were NO mosquitos and on the day I set the trap up, I was getting bitten while I was baiting it. So even with only a few days of use, it did the job. I did have trouble getting it to snap down, so that could be why it was so easy for an animal to destroy it. I will rebait it and put a weight on top this time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately this did not work for us. We live in a country setting with moderate mosquitoes and we still got bite like crazy. I wanted this to work for us so much, no matter what we tried it didnt seem to work.
