I am always looking for quick and healthy prepared meals I can make for my kids and feel good about. Knowing I can whip up these Brami Italian Protein Pasta noodles for them to eat with some meat sauce makes me feel good about the food I am putting on the table for them. The loved the fusilli shape and would love to try the other shapes too I'm sure!

It takes a bit longer to cook but it's worth the wait.

I just ate a bowl of Brami fusilli pasta with Born Simple Tomato Basil pasta sauce. I boiled it at the low end of the recommended time range. First, I want to mention that I liked the springy texture of this pasta. It really held its shape even after being boiled and salted. The pasta certainly tasted different than traditional pasta in that it had a very slightly pungent flavor on the back end. When you eat this pasta, the water needs to be well salted or the mid ranges of the flavor will be flat. Before eating this, I was worried that I'd feel too full or I'd feel nauseated because I'd also had (traditional) pasta at lunch, but I felt full in a good, level way that didn't lead me to a carb crash.

A lot of times, the noodles fall apart after sitting in broth for a few days when reheating but not these! I had to cook the noodles a few minutes longer than what the instructions called for, but after that they were perfectly al dente. The taste is a little different than regular noodles but in a hearty, healthy way which I like! I would totally buy these again!

I like that it has increased protein but for the price point, I'd most likely not buy again unless it was on sale. It would be nice for the package to add a recipe that would work well with the pasta shape.

Sometimes protein pasta is extra grainy, but the texture of this was most similar to other pastas I've had. I really couldn't tell the difference.
