There are a lot of things I love about this mattress. Number one being that this is the only mattress that I can sleep on and. It get night sweats. It's pretty awesome to be able to use a snuggly comforter at night. That being said, the grid takes getting used to. It feels sort of sterile because it doesn't have any sort of pillow topper over the grid itself so you can feel the grid. A nice snuggly blanket helps you get that hugged sort of feeling you want in your bed. It is comfortable, and doesn't seem to need a special pillow.my husbands side of the bed seems to be getting a dent where he sleeps... he weighs less than 200lbs so that is a little concerning since we have only been sleeping on it for about 2 weeks.

We're pretty happy with the mattress so far. I had expected to sink into it a little more than what it feels like, but my body feels good and it's very supportive. Neither my husband or I have had any creaks or sore bones since sleeping on the Purple. I will say that I wish the mattress was thicker for my bed, or, had a matching base to beef it up available for purchase.

So we really wanted to love the Purple mattress but ended up having to return. The reasons I give 5 stars: 1) I really do think it's a great mattress and you should try it. If it's not perfect, there's absolutely no problem getting your refund. 2) I've never dealt with better customer service. Seriously. Not a perfect fit? Literally no problem.

Now that I upgraded my bed, there's room for me, the dog, and the cat! No more fighting for space! PLUS, as a bonus, we are all super comfortable and do much less tossing and turning through the night. If only we could reprogram the cat not to wake up at 5am, things would be perfect.

As with most people, the first few weeks sleeping on the Purple mattress were challenging. One morning I woke up with my arms asleep and in so much pain that I was convinced there was no other option but to return it. However, after reading about the experiences of others, I decided to stick it out. At the end of the trial period we were happy with the quality of the sleep we were getting and hopeful that we would continue to be satisfied for 4-5 years. That was just over 1 year ago. We are very disappointed with the durability. Our comfort has deteriorated to the point where we are just hoping to get 1 more year before going on the search - again! - for a mattress that will hold up for a longer period of time. We purchased the platform with the mattress, use the Purple brand sheets, and neither my husband nor I are large or heavy people so there is nothing we have done to shorten the life of the mattress. I was really hoping for better for the price.

After years of relatively miserable sleep and waking tired and sore we looked at some of the different foam mattresses. We went with the Purple because of good ratings and because one comparison noted that because of the gel layer it was cooler then other foam mattresses, which can absorb a fair amount of body heat. I live in a warm area of the U.S. and radiate heat like a furnace when sleeping so being able to have the bed provide cool quickly was a large factor. We ordered the queen size mattress. We received it quickly. The only problem was getting it in the house and onto the bed. Because of the compaction for shipping the mattress is very heavy and unwieldy. I would recommend having someone to help set up the mattress, particularly if you are getting a king. The difference in sleep was noticeable from the first night. I got up at 5 am after having been woken a couple times during the night by my dogs to let them out and in. Despite an otherwise short and interrupted sleep I woke feeling refreshed. Since sleeping on the purple mattress I also have not had the muscle soreness and problems with my lower back that have frequently plagued me on other mattresses. Overall I am so happy with this mattress.

So cliche to say, but I should have taken the leap years ago... my back and neck feel amazing and my sleep is so much better. It took about 2 weeks to get used to the pillow but I love it now. The mattress was great from day 1. Strongly recommend both!

If you are over 150pounds don't get the purple mattress. I weight 170 and I sink into the mattress when putting my socks on in the morning. It's not a horrible bed just not the bed for me. The staff at purple have been so nice about my return and have helped me tremendously. Just not my style of mattress.

The only bad thing I can say about this bed is that I haven't been able to pop my back since I started sleeping in this magical bed. I used to have the worst back pain all day long and would constantly need to pop my back to realign my spine. NOT ANY MORE!!! this mattress has been a dream come true.

My husband slept great on the mattress within the first few days of getting it. However, it took me nearly a month to get adjusted to the bed! Now that I'm adjusted, I sleep so well and never wake up with back pain like I did with our previous memory foam mattress. Our King size purple mattress was a little bit awkward to carry upstairs in the house but well worth the effort to get it set up! My husband also used to struggle with getting too hot and waking up sweating with our memory foam mattress and this has not been an issue with the Purple mattress! So far, we love our Purple mattress and definitely recommend it!!
