I have always been intrigued by the technology behind Purple mattresses. So I bought one of the 1st generation pillows and did not like it. Recently I needed to replace our mattress but had to fit the dimensions of the bed frame. I narrowed down the choices and decided to try the basic purple mattress. The height was the issue with this bed frame. Because it was the lower line bed I was skeptical of how I would like it. I received the mattress on Father's Day weekend. One of my sons helped me haul it in and unpack it. I have been sleeping on it since mid-June and really appreciate it. I really notice a difference when I travel and return back to this bed. So far this has been a great mattress! Thank you Purple!

My partner and I purchased the purple about a month ago. He loves the bed, I don't mind it, I'm a stomach sleeper and and he's a back sleeper. The mattress we had before was way too soft for both of us and it was a firm pillow top. He sleeps great now, doesn't have any back pain from the purple. I still deal slightly with low back pain because sleeping on my stomach isn't good for my back. But I do have to say I have less back pain than I used to. The purchase was easy, it shipped when they said it would, and it took as long as they said it would to arrive. The only issue we had was fed ex delivering it. They put it on the wrong truck to deliver to our house once it got to the location for local delivery. We ended up having to pick it up. Not knowing how large the tube was that it was being delivered in, we had to borrow a truck to pick it up. Turned out we probably could have fit it in our car. Overall it's been a good purchase and we haven't had any issues with it yet. We did see shortly after we purchased it that the ghost bed came out and it was cheaper, but the videos of that look like it's cheaper. Haven't seen or slept on it though, so I can't compare it to the purple. I would say we are for the most past satisfied with our purchase.

In short, I recommend this mattress but it's not for everyone. I'm 24 years old and the mattress I had before this one was extremely soft and worn out. I'm five foot nine inches and weight about 140 pounds and my entire body would sink into my old mattress. The issues that my old mattress presented were improper spinal alignment and overheating at night. I primarily slept in my stomach because that was the only way I could get a decent nights rest (I should mention that I would put a pillow under my stomach to elevate my body to ease the back pain). When doing my research I was looking for a mattress that would be more firm but provide pressure relief where it was needed. A mattress that slept a little cooler was also something I wanted but didn't need because of my budget. Purple advertised their mattress as temperature neutral and that it would provide pressure relief so I took a chance on it. I've had this mattress for about two - three weeks now and I am so happy with it. My back pain is gone and I do sleep slightly cooler. I've maybe sweat twice since having it which is far less than when I had my previous mattress. It does feel different than a traditional mattress but I don't find it to be an issue. I got used to it in about two days. Some reviews had stated that the mattress had a smell and I can't say I had that experience. It weight is significant enough to make you work to place it but it's not impossible. My sleeping positions have even changed. I feel very comfortable sleeping in all positions (something I couldn't do with my old mattress). The shipping took about three business days which I wasn't upset about. For my frame, this mattress works perfectly for me. I'm very pleased with it.

The purple king mattress is great for sleeping on my back. My problem is that I turn over and usually wake up on my stomach. I might do better with something more firm. If you sleep on your back, or your side you will love this. If you sleep on your stomach and you a bit of a belly you might sink in too much as you sleep.

I give Purple 5 stars! We've only had it one night so far. But when it arrived we put it on the floor for the time being because the frame won't arrive till Monday. We went ahead and made it & decided to lay on it to see how it felt. We were both instantly asleep . We woke up after a couple of hours feeling great. Then even after sleeping 9 hours last night I woke up feeling completely ready for the day.

I was very excited when I first purchased this mattress......until I tried it. To be fair, shipping was fast and the mattress was in my price range but after sleeping on it for awhile trying to give it a chance, I called within the 100 days and was told that I didn't qualify for the 100 day free trial because I financed through a company called Affirm, (which is on their website as a payment option). The mattress is like a brick, even now over a year later. I tried calling and asking if I could upgrade to the newest model that has 3 or 4 inches of foam on top and and they could take this 1 back and was told no, not without paying full price. They also told me when I called back that they had no record of me calling within the 100 days so watch out for that as well. I don't know how the new mattresses compare to the original but I'd advise against purchasing the original Purple mattress. I will continue to post negative reviews about my experience with this company I have had no good experiences with either the mattress or the customer service of this company.

I bought the original Purple mattress King size for my son when he just bought his first house. I haven't even seen the mattress as it was sent to his house. He loves it, can't say enough about it. He sent me pictures, looks great! shipped quickly, he likes the set of sheets that came with it also.

I suffer from severe neck issues (car accident injury). I get frequent headaches, need adjusted monthly by a chiropractor, pop Excedrin like they're M&M's... until I got the purple mattress & pillow. My fiance & I have been sleeping on this bed for about 1 month now and I have had significantly less pain, headaches and soreness in my neck & back. My fiance agrees, he also feels so much better. At my recent chiropractic visit, the doc said wow, your neck isn't too bad today (which is HUGE). We actually look forward to getting into bed every night because its so comfortable. The top of the bed isn't that weird to us & it took all of one night to get used to it. We have the pillows. mattress cover & sheets from purple and we love them. I'd recommend this bed to anyone, particularly folks who are athletic or exercise often (I feel sooo much better each morning after sleeping on this thing!). We will absolutely get another purple bed in the future & for our other bedrooms. THANK YOU PURPLE < 3

I had had my old mattress for a good number of years, and had bought it used to begin with. I would wake up in so much pain some mornings and finally caved and got a Purple mattress after trying one out in an Airbnb. I love it! I'm so happy with my purchase. It's comfortable, conforms to your body so well, and I don't think I've woken up in pain at all in the few weeks I've owned it. I get so excited to go to bed! Would recommend this mattress for side and stomach sleepers! (I don't sleep on my back, so I'm not sure how good it is for that.)

After reading the reviews, I was convince I have found what I need it to have a good night sleep. I bought the purple bed a month a go, I fohnd out that is not good for me. I woke up with more pain in my back. Turning it was harder because it feels like you sink in the bed. I think is not the bed is the body. Due to a car accident I still have a lot of issues making me hard to rest.
