I am disabled with scoliosis, other lower back medical troubles and suffer with chronic pain. Over 10-years ago a Purple mattress saved me, allowed me to sleep/function with less pain. That mattress has since broken down so my first choice was another Purple. This new mattress is NOT the same, it seems softer and I float/sink down into it. The first time sleeping in it, after 3-days, I was in extreme pain, so much so I re-setup my old mattress to recover. I have used the new Purple a 2nd time and sleeping in it is OK but still having difficulties getting in/out of the mattress and having pain, different than my typical chronic pain/issues. Wish they had not changed it, had something very good - leave it alone! I will still suggest Purple to anyone, especially those with difficulties.

This is our second purple. Our first was a queen and now we have a king! Both my hubby and I had back issues and now they are almost gone for both of us. We both wake up most mornings and say "wow I love this bed"! And the sheets are out of this world! They make you feel like royalty! Highly recommend getting the purple sheets too! Do yourself a favor and stop looking for another bed and just get the purple!

I can't say enough about how this mattress has affected my life. I had so many issues related to sleep including insomnia, lack of energy, and aches and pains. For me all of these issues were fixed within the first week of using this mattress and now in week three the benefits of the quality sleep just keep adding up. It's so nice to wake up in the morning and not feel run down and sore. Even if I only have time for six hours of sleep I wake feeling fully refreshed and ready for the day. It's hard to describe the feeling of sleeping on the grid but it's like your body is being supported perfectly and there is no sensation of something pushing back up on your body. I am a multi position sleeper and this mattress excels for every position. Add to all of this the fact that the Purple customer support has been among the best I have experienced from any company and I just can't see ever owning another mattress. I wish I would have made the move to purple sooner.

I will be happy to adjust this review if the noise issue with our mattress protector is resolved. I have never had a bed make this much noise. It consistently wakes up my wife and I. Worst part is you have to use the cover to get the warranty. For such an advanced bed, the mattress protector is a huge let down. We have had the bed for a month and washing the protector multiple times has not reduced the noise it creates when you move or roll over.

We got the base, sheets, and mattress all together. Since we've purchased the Purple we've noticed that we sleep for a shorter period of time but that we wake up more rested than before and after only one night my wife noticed the tension in her shoulders releasing. The sheets do make the bed warmer and are extremly stretchy and very soft/comfy. I enjoy rolling myself up in them each and every night. I do wish there was less pilling. Almost immediately the sheets had little pills all over them. As for the base, It is extremely easy to set up and you can make quick work of it even by yourself. It's firm and steady. Plus the added hieght makes it great for storing drawers underneath it. We appreciated the hardware for the head board. Our main complaint is how easy the bed slides off of the ends of the base if you don't have a head and foot board attached. The purple hasn't had any issues sliding sideways during our use. All in all though, They're doing a good job. My wife is often asked if she gets commission for all the times she raves about it to friends and coworkers, and we are looking forward to some nice headmattresses. :)

When purple was new, I purchased a queen mattress and LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!! However, we bought a king mattress recently and asked questions regarding which model would be most like the original and went with the recommendation. Well, sorry to say the new model is nothing like the original. Definitely not near as comfortable. It's just ok. Not sure why purple would change something that was working, assuming cheaper materials and maybe some greed is involved. The rich get richer.

Finally free from years of constantly twisting and turning all night, getting hot and cold, back/shoulder/neck pain!!!!!!! Purple has the perfect balance of firm and soft. It molds around your body like a traditional memory foam without the feeling that you are stuck forever. My husband used to complain about how hot he got at night, and now the complaining has stopped! Love this mattress!!

It sleeps cool and is very responsive. The stretchy sheets are essential to get the form-fitting effect from the mattress. At 6'2" 195 lbs with somewhat broad shoulders I would probably ideally go with the newer 3 or 4 if price wasn't a factor because my butt and shoulders are hitting the firmer foam in the middle when on my back and side, respectively.

I never thought I would be able to afford a bed that could give me the sleep that purple does. No more aches and pains for my old mattress. And the sheets and pillows are definitely things to consider getting as well. Having it all makes it even better. Only problem I have is the king size pillow cases are too big for the purple pillow, but other than that amazing.

Wasn't sure what to expect but after unwrapping the bed setting it up it was better than any bed I've owed over the last 10 years. The support is amazing and what was absolutely the best was being able to do a payment plan. If not for that I'd still be getting terrible rest on my futon. Time I'll tell if it becomes an excellent experience for me. I'm a heavy man 290lbs and this is the best support I've had in at least 10 years. I do love the purple
