I have been sleeping on a number type of bed for years. One of the bladders lost the ability to hold air. I saw an online advertisement for the purple mattress. I thought about it for a week and then decided to go for it. I do not regret that decision. I have chronic, acute arthritis in my lower back, and I wondered if I could adapt to a foam mattress as opposed to air support. I love it. I was more comfortable and slept for longer periods of time on the very first night. It just keeps getting more comfortable the longer that I sleep on it. For me, this mattress has been a wonderful improvement in my sleep comfort.

Mattress arrived on time and in perfect shape. However, once I opened the mattress, it seems to be a few inches shorter than expected - the box springs and the bed frame are both standard size. However, the mattress is a few inches shorter in length. Not sure if this is a defect, or not.

So far i've started having lower back pain from switching to the purple mattress. Sleeping on my side has improved but my lower back has started hurting which isn't good. I am willing to continue the test of the mattress to see if it improves but so far it hasn't.

I suffer from numerous back issues and this was the 4th mattress I've tried in a year and a half. I didn't require any adjustment period and wake up feeling pretty good. It's soft enough to be comfortable but firm enough for proper support. So far I dont notice any issues with being hot or cold. It seems to be very neutral in body temperature regulation.

I love my purple mattress!! I have osteoarthritis in my left hip and was unable to sleep on my left side because of the pain. But now, with my purple mattress, I can!! I have had my purple mattress for about a month now and all of my aches and pains from sleeping on my old mattress are gone!! I would highly recommend this mattress!

I received this mattress as a warranty claim on my original mattress, and am very unhappy with the quality. They say it's the same quality and "upgraded" from the previous original purple mattress, but I assure you it is not. The mattress feels significantly thinner and when sitting on it, my butt is touching the frame underneath. The "edge control" actually made it worse for rolling off the bed. Very unhappy with this.

Wow! Super impressed with this mattress! And we will Never go without an adjustable base again. We feel completely spoiled. We look forward to going to bed every night and our evening and morning massages are just an added bonus that us to feel a little pampered. Thank you

The bed is ok... It's ok for me but certainly not the best. I still wake up with back aches. My fiancé absolutely hates the mattress. Unfortunately we are out of the 100 day period and PURPLE will not do anything. It's our fault that we didn't contact sooner, but all in all I'm stuck paying for a mattress that is going out in the trash this weekend.

My husband and I moved to a new country. We needed a new mattress before we went. We were recommended by my sister to get the amazing Purple mattress. However, when it arrived we were a bit sad by the uncomfortable feeling we got when we slept. If we sleep along the edge we feel we will roll off, so we sleep more towards the middle. It makes the bed feel more like a queen than a king. Also, it is a lot smaller (not as thick) than our bed frame, so the head board looks a little funny with it.

Comfort: My husband has adapted beautifully! Husband is in his mid-sixties and has had trouble with his back which has led to a myriad of symptoms. He has also experienced paresthesia (when your arm falls asleep while you are sleeping) and sore shoulders. We had a "nice bed" by industry standards. Leg cramps, back pain, shoulder pain and paresthesia have now been eliminated. I, however, have not adjusted so well. The commercials show a myriad of ways that pressure points are relieved. What they do not show you is how an actual human's spine functions on the bed for a side-sleeper. An egg is a very small "point" and the pressure applied from egg to egg under the glass is even. Bodies do not work this way. I have had an increase in neck, upper back, and shoulder tension and pain. I am attempting to find the right pillow but have not yet succeeded. Note: the pillow must be flatter than what I was accustomed to but I have not been able to find the happy medium between too full and too flat. I like soft and this bed is not that. Back and even stomach sleepers will love this bed. I sometimes sleep on my stomach and find that the "girls" are not bruised and do not feel tender from compression!! I didn't make me so my sensitivities are ... not my fault... Ha! I found that the more material you put between you and the 'honeycomb' the greater the reduction in the intended benefit. It came with a "free" mattress cover (price increase on the bed covered that I think), and we had to remove it. NO OTHER SHEETS than Purple Sheets will give you the full intended benefit of the Purple Mattress. Save yourself the pain and get the sheets at the same time you get the bed!! Technical: The frame is easy to set up and can be done by one person! Lots of space underneath for all those shoe boxes or storage. The King mattress is very very heavy but my husband and I managed without too much difficulty. I am wondering how we move it when we move...... The additional mattress cover does not stretch enough to allow the mattress to function properly. Jersey sheets aren't stretchy enough either. Just get the Purple Sheets.
