We got this mattress for when we moved because we needed a new one. However, even though the shipping estimates for everything when we ordered, said they would all be here at around the same time, we ended up having just a mattress and no base for almost a month. After finally getting the base, we got our first good night's sleep. However, the sleep quality is ok at best. I Generally sleep on my sides, and this mattress puts extra pressure on my shoulder and eventually cuts off circulation. I end up tossing and turning more than I do sleep some nights. I am glad to have this mattress, but not overly impressed.

We bought Purple almost on a whim. I have low back issues and sleeping on a foam mattress topper, although cushy, was not giving me the support I really needed. It took me two night to adjust to purple, but now I hate sleeping anywhere else. So glad we made an impulse buy!

We bought two of the twin mattresses for a split king setup. Unfortunately our frame let them slide too much and we would always have a gap in the middle so we switched to a single king. However Purple did a redesign of the original mattresses to have a firmer edge support (which was needed and the problem for our twins) but by doing so the whole mattress is now significantly firmer. We ended up returning it and now purchased the premier 3 inch version because the mattress is amazing. I just wish we could have gotten the king in the original formula. Love purple and their customer service is crazy good. The return process was super painless. Our customer service experience is the main reason we are going to end up spending way more than we originally planned because we were so impressed with the purple company. Will leave a review once for new mattress once we get it to offset this one. 6 stars for company and customer service, but bed was really bad for us so stars reflect that, fwiw

I've had this mattress a year. I sleep on my back and side. For about six hours every night, I sleep okay. Not great, not restful, but I sleep. After six hours I feel like I'm sleeping on concrete. I don't if the elastic portion is just stretched too far or what, but it's hard enough and uncomfortable enough to wake me up. By the next night it has bounced back and I lay down and repeat the process. Note: my wife doesn't appear to experience this and likes the mattress just fine.

We have had our mattress for over a year now and cannot be more pleased. We bought it right before we decided to have another child so I would be comfortable during pregnancy. Which I was, but the most noticeable difference between this mattress and our old one is now that baby # 2 has arrived I am able to go right back to sleep even though I am up every 2 hours. I am so thankful for those two hours and the Purple mattress helps me enjoy every second of sleep I can get. You will not regret this purchase.

After reading the reviews and sleeping on my queen size mattress for a few weeks now, I thought it would be better. My buddy has one but I'm guessing he bought the higher priced one with the cooling gel layer??? Also my sheets don't fit it real tight due to it's height. I'm guessing the cooling gel layer and tight fitting sheets might make a difference. Not sure why a mattress that you pay over $1,000 for still needs a special additional gel layer and special sheets to get the full experience. Still deciding on the 100 night guarantee...

My wife and I love our new King size Purple Mattress, I sleep on my side and back and love it, it sleeps nice and cool. I had a cervical fusion done in 2010 and was up most nights with neck pain, with the Purple Mattress I can sleep at night without the pain. We liked the Purple Mattress so much we bought one for our daughter, and she loves it! We had tried another brand but the smell was too much to take, it would not air out, the purple had no odor to it.

My old bed left me sore on my sides every morning, with coupled with sciatic pain from my first pregnancy left me a mess, and I honestly dreaded going to sleep. My back adjusted to Purple within about 30 minutes and honestly I can't wait to go to bed or just use it to lay down and watch TV. It's incredibly comfortable and no pressure points! I really hate to get up out of bed in the morning. Now I get why people gave rated it down for making them late to work!

I have slept on many memory foam mattresses before, and still ended up tossing and turning all night. With the Purple mattress, I have had the best night sleep since I was a kid. I am always leery about mattresses since I have been burned many times. Buy this mattress! Get a good night sleep!

I purchased the Purple mattress due to extreme pain in both my hips while sleeping. I would wake up in tears because I was so tired and just wanted a restful nights sleep. On the very first night it was a 100% difference! I am so happy with my mattress I really cant describe it. Love love love my mattress and highly re commend it!
