After almost a year of debating and trialing 6 other beds for our rentals we could not be more thrilled with the Purple bed! The first night sleep was so rehabilitating that I had to tell my husband we have to calm down - we still have 99 more nights to see if this really works. Less than a week and we knew it was staying with us. I am a stomach sleeper (not ideal) and my husband is a back sleeper who runs extremely hot and this mattress has never disappointed. In fact I was able to bring back my comforter that I love because my husband is no longer over heating. We cannot speak highly enough or recommend it to enough people. I would not this is a firm mattress as it definitely contours to the individuals body but the support that I get on my neck, stomach and hips has less to relieved my lower back pain (from me sleeping on my stomach) and the purple foam has lead to better nights of sleep without heat interruption for my husband.

1 month down!!! Okay so I am what you would call "Normal healthy Human". My partner on the other hand...he has had 2 disc replaced in his neck and a lumbar Laminectomy.....so his back is outta wack. A friend from work just raved about this bed so I did it...I ordered it with the awesome "Sumo" base and figured lets give this a go. OH MY LANTA!!!!.....I didn't realize how bad of sleep I was getting let alone my poor partner. I woke up with no joints popping (I am only 33) no stiffness in my lower back, i didn't wake up to my arms going to sleep...this is fantastic. As to the man of the house...he still has back pain...because of the surgeries that will never go away...but he is actually able to fall asleep laying on his back. Before he would have to keep his legs bent just to be able to lay on his back just due to the extra pain our normal mattress was causing. Now he is able to lay on his back, fall asleep and he (fingers cross) hasn't been woken up because of pain. So he is actually sleeping at night!! We are currently looking into purchasing the pillows and a **** cushion for me to use at work. I would seriously tell anybody who has had back surgery and just issues all around, to give this a try...it does feel a little weird at first...feels like you are being suspended in the air. Once you get that 1st nights awesome rest and just wake up with out being groggy or still tired...you will thank yourself!

I just got done sleeping on my Purple 4 and I have to say that if I didn't set a alarm I would have easily overslept. I have had a rough time sleeping the last few nights before getting the mattress but last night I not only slept well but had a bunch of dreams. I got the Purple 4 because I am 250 pounds and my wife and I are side sleepers. She is about 125 pounds. I want to say that if I had a complaint it would be that the mattress makes me want to sleep in. I have had back and neck issues and back procedures a few years ago and being a side sleeper, that makes for many uncomfortable nights. but this mattress was amazing.

After the first few weeks on the mattress, I've already noticed how much better rested I've felt. The support is great and the air flow keeps me from tossing and turning, which I've noticed because the sheets/blankets remained tucked in all the way to the morning.

A year and a half ago my significant other and I needed a new mattress so we bought a Purple. We loved it so continued to purchase more products. Most importantly, we bought 2 pet beds for our Dogs and they have never slept so good! I'd love to see a purple sofa someday! They're firm/soft/supportive. You will not regret buying one :)

I was worried about buying a bed online, but with the hundred night trail I decided to give it a try. This is an awesome bed I am a side sleeper and dramatically notice a reduction in stress on the side of my body while I'm laying on this bed. I honestly feel that my sleeves are a lot fuller and I wake up more rested than I did on my previous mattress. I would definitely recommend this mattress to friends and family. V/R Nick

We bought the Purple mattress with high hopes, the week prior to the release of the new Purple 2,3, and 4. We've had or slept on many different types of mattress over the years and none has worked for us. We visited the Purple factory where there is a small show room and tried out a very well used demo bed, and decided to take a chance. Now, three months later, with our own Purple mattress, we decided it isn't for us. It is just to firm and doesn't provide enough give to relieve the pressure on my bones and joints. It is a little too supportive. So, the trek back to the Purple store, where the Purple 3 seemed like just the thing. Not to firm, not to soft. Just right. I made a phone call to return our original Purple mattress and to exchange it for the much more expensive Purple 3. The Customer service people I've talked to have been pleasant and very kind on the phone. They happily emailed me instructions on how to accomplish my exchange. In reading through them, I came to a troubling note at the bottom. It says, " ANOTHER NOTE: You have 100 calendar days to exchange your Purple® mattress from the date of delivery through the comfort trial. The second mattress is ineligible for any comfort trial or exchange." I called customer service back to clarify that last sentence, and was told that indeed, there is no 100 night trial on the Purple 3 mattress should I exchange for it. Here is where the tale comes to a very sad and frustrating end. I can try one bed for 100 nights, but if it doesn't work, I have to buy outright the second, much more expensive bed. Somehow, this doesn't seem right. I understand that there are those out there who just try to work the system. I just want a good night's sleep. I guess Purple is not for me after all.

I have been unable to get comfortable on my purple bed. My lower back aches when I lay on my back. I'm allergic to memory foam and the bed must have memory foam in it because my eyes are puffy and scratchy in the morning and I get a slight sore throat. These go away during the day. If I sleep on another bed I do not experience any of these problems. My husband thinks the bed is comfortable and has helped his back.

I'm a side sleeper, one of the biggest concerns for me before was when I'm sleeping on my side, it puts too much pressure against my shoulder. And I would try avoiding that by sleeping in this weird position where my head is side on the pillow, but my torso is only halfway turned. Purple mattress does a great job in relieving pressure from my shoulder. However, my significant other hated the bed for being too soft for him and he would rather sleep on the couch. I guess if I liked purple just a tad more I would consider leaving him, but my fiancé is too perfect to let go. Unfortunately we will have to return this mattress.

When my husband and I decided to get a new bed we did a little research on what beds were top rating and looked at reviews and asked the military community for honest reviews on this bed. My husband wasn't sold at first about what was considered a bed in a box, but still allowed me to order it since there was a 120 night guarantee. We upgraded from a Serta I comfort to the purple original and it was the best decision we've made in a while. The bed is super comfortable and really hugs are hips right when were sleep, I love also the temperature of the bed. My husband has said every night for the last 3 weeks that this was the bed decision we've made in a while and he's getting better sleep now. I would definitely recommend this bed to anyone!
