I purchased the Purple Mattress after months of research and debate. My slow process was due to the hesitation of buying a mattress without knowing if I would like it or not. I am SO GLAD that I bought my Purple! This mattress is more firm than my former plush mattress, but it honestly is not an issue. I like plush, comfy mattresses where you feel like you're sinking into a cloud, but often find they lack support. My Purple gives me the right amount of cloud feeling with the perfect amount of support. It works for both side and back sleeping (no idea about stomach sleeping). This bed has honestly made it hard to get out of bed every day because of how lovely it is. I will absolutely purchase another mattress from Purple and highly recommend it!

The mattress is great and we are sleeping like babies. I am a hot sleeper and the mattress has truly helped reduce my sweating at night. I still have to peel the comforter back and just use a sheet. My only complaint is a petty one. The height of the mattress compared to my old one is much lower. I now reach up to my bedside table instead of down. The top of the mattress is 4-6 inches below the top of the footboard which just doesn't feel right. We might try the base if we could return it. As I said, it is a minor complaint against an all around great experience.

I LOVE the science and innovative tech built into this mattress, and it does help with my back problems. But it's a bit too much on the firm side, and my wife prefers our softer (but saggier) mattress. We'll still keep this new one, but it'll be on a separate bed.

I got this mattress for my son because we were upgrading him from his toddler bed and WOW. I had to stop laying down with him for bedtime stories because I was falling asleep and not waking up until the next morning. If you're having doubts, don't. Buy it now, trust me. Will definitely be replacing our own mattress soon.

It took a few nights, but once we get used to this mattress, we now sleep well. There are things that you need to read on their site VERY CAREFULLY. Also, the second after you place your order, you will start getting regular emails to buy more stuff, even before you received your original order. They took a few days to fill my order so it put the ship date back a few days. I was going out of town for vacation, would they hold the order for me, and ship it later? NO! You have to call FedEx and ask them to do that. Is FedEx taking my mattress through you? NO! That's our "white glove" service that only comes with our "premium" mattress. So now I have to arrange when it arrives and pick up for a mattress through another vendor. So, yeah, buyer beware. There may be other things that I missed, read the fine print, there may be things that YOU get stuck with.

The grid concept does not provide enough support for lower back pain. My husband and I both have lower back pain (disc problems and arthritis) and we were hopeful that the Purple mattress would be good for us and minimize our pain. We ordered the most expensive, top of the line mattress because we believed the grid system, with it's minimal pressure points, would help us. Unfortunately, our lower back pain has increased gradually over the 4 months we have had the mattress. Because it was a gradual increase in pain, we did not realize at our 100 day trial period deadline that this is not the mattress for us. We realized it at 150 days and Purple will not give us a refund. BEWARE they will not work with you if you pass the trial period, so if you get this mattress and have ANY doubt about it at 100 days, RETURN IT!

This is by far the greatest mattress you can get. Other mattresses have caused my double joints to move out of place while sleeping, but the Purple keeps everything in place without making anything lose blood flow. Definitely worth it if you have joint problems or old injuries.

The egg test is misleading, you are not an egg, you are a human. The transition from the purple layer to the memory foam layers underneath is harsh and I could feel my hips hitting the foam and never seemed t sink into it. But we donated the mattress and had our money back in less than two days.

It took me a few nights to adjust to this mattress but now I love it. I used to wake up with shoulder pain from sleeping on my side from my old hard mattress. After about a week the pain was almost gone, and is much better now. The mattress feels a little firm at first but really evenly supports the whole length of your body because of the honey cone top layer. Well worth the money.

This is the mattress I have been waiting for my whole life! My husband and I both have a rare bone disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) also known has brittle bone disorder. We are both very small and very light. I am 3'6" and I weigh less than 60 lbs., and my husband is even smaller. One of the central issues with having OI, especially moderately severe OI as we both have, is scoliosis. I have had two spinal fusions, and in this last fusion I was fused to my pelvis. Every part of my body feels different, each arm is different and each hip is different. This mattress supports all the bends, curves, gaps, and tight spaces in my body. Due to the malrotation of my pelvis, I normally do not make sheer contact with any surface against my back, but this mattress actually supports all the spaces other mattress cannot meet. I talked with other friends who have OI before buying this mattress, and countless others with brittle bone disorder highly recommend this product. I will never sleep on anything else again. I truly urge anyone who needs a gentle, supportive mattress to buy Purple. There are virtually no pressure points created when I lie down. I also find this material easy to turn side-to-side on, as this can be difficult for me without having something to pull on. For chronic pain, lumbar, and pelvis issues - this is the beset mattress out there! If you have any orthopedic issues - this is the best mattress out there! Also, the base frame is really good for wheelchair users. My husband does not ambulate, and needs to be able to transfer side-to-side from his power wheelchair to the bed. This frame is the right height for him to get his wheelbase under the frame to get as close as possible to transfer. Thankfully we will no longer need bed risers on our bedframe!
