My household eased in slowly, trying the Purple seat cushion first, then pillows, and finally the mattress. This mattress changed so many body ailments I never realized I had! Right now we are approaching day 30 of the 100 day trial (a huge selling point for us) and haven't looked back to the old mattress sitting in the spare room. After years of shoulder pain and hip pain from contact with the previous mattress, this is 100% relief.

We were frustrated with the hollow middle of our previous mattress. My husband found purple on the web and we ordered one. No more falling in the hollow middle. In fact my husband says he can't even tell when I move or roll over as his side doesn't move it all. We are very pleased and now have ordered the platform which is due to arrive any day. I highly recommend the purple mattress.

I grew up sleeping on my stomach and could never sleep on my back. I thought it was never possible. Fast forward 26 years and behold, I can now sleep on my back comfortably. I love my product and recommend it to all my friends. My wife basically calls me a walking advertisement for Purple, now I want to share my short story with you all. It is a great investment.

I have a bad back, I am twice the size of my wife, and I get hot at night. The purple bed has helped my back a lot. It offers support without being hard. It doesn't actively cool you, but dissipates heat extremely well, so I am never cold, but never hot either. And it works well for both my wife and I, and our different body weights. It is great and I am so happy I saw the youtube ad for Purple.

I used to sleep on a pillow top with a memory foam topper. I would wake up multiple times a night hot, sweaty, and needing to change positions because I'm in so much pain. But now that I have my new purple mattress, I sleep like a rock! I now don't wake up in pain, I don't wake up sad because I'm hot and sweaty, I'm so comfortable and happy! Love this bed so much, it's such a game changer. I never want to get out of it!

We bought our first Purple mattress seven years ago and have love it . We recently decided to replace and purchase another. We did go with a hybrid model and were not happy. Custom service was amazing with helping switch back to the original Purple style. It was easy and we are so happy with it. We will always use Purple over any other mattress.

This is our second Purple mattress! We upgraded to a king bed and knew right away we would be ordering another Purple for it. Purple has the best support, stays cool and is just overall the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on! I tell everyone in the market for a new mattress to try Purple!

Previously we had a nice namebrand inner spring, 1.5" pillow top mattress, with an added 2" memory foam pad and a mattress pad heater. It was a good combo but after 20 years it was developed a 'valley' in the middle so our sleep was not as pain-free as we wanted and it was sometimes a 'challenge' to climb out of the middle so we decided to get another one. My significant other found this purple site and we were both intrigued by the support/cradle combo of the purple and base foams. She also liked the description of how it sleeps cooler as she typically has 2-4 hot flashes a night and has to throw off all the covers. We ordered the purple king, enjoyed the numerous email updates on the shipping status and got the bed. A) It is 150 lbs - there are 2 handles on each end which really help to carry it. B) The attached cutter really does go easily through the straps and all just like they say. C) It does open quickly once finally cut loose so be prepared and don't leave fragile things on headboards/dressers nearby it case it unfolds and hits one of those. It was fully uncompressed in a short time and we really liked the way it gently cradled while also giving full support. Compared to our previous combo, it was not as 'cushy' as we were used to - but it did a great job of keeping the back aligned whether on our side or back just as advertised. Our first night, we used a set of high thread count cotton sheets (no stretch) and discovered the sheet does make a difference in the performance of the purple foam cradling. Purple recommends a stretchy sheet so we got one for night 2+ and the stretchy sheet was a significant improvement to allow the Purple to do its thing. As for the cooling - she has not had to throw the sheets off yet due to a hot flash, even after a few weeks! Neither of us feels the other person move or toss or flip or get out of bed either - the 'isolation' factor is fantastic. So - why are we not keeping it? Two reasons. First, we realized we both prefer more sinkage (a 'cushier' feel), something lower on the firmness scale. Two - for me (the guy) it slept too cool. While she loved it, I was feeling cold and typically didn't sleep well because of that. I could wear more to bed to offset that but I am a very picky sleeper (she teases me about how much effort I go through to get everything just right) and that was not something I wanted to do. After a month, I had to admit that my sleep was not as good as I wanted it to be for the next 5-20 years. She would have kept it if was just her but we had agreed that whatever we bought had to work well for both of us. Let me take a minute to discuss the customer service before I finish - it is fantastic! There was a minor issue with the mattress - that had no affect on its performance - but when we called Purple at 8:30pm (presumably to leave a message), the phone was answered and the issue immediately and pleasantly resolved. Plus when we decided to not keep the mattress, they were again professional, pleasant and expressed again they wanted us to be happy with the purchase. So the mattress does everything they advertise, their customer service is exceptional and if it sounds like this is a mattress that could work for you then we would still encourage you to give it a try.

I wanted to take a moment to compliment the team at Purple. My wife and I ordered a Queen size Purple mattress to replace our old King spring mattress. Once the Purple mattress was delivered, we quickly realized that even though it was crazy comfortable, we needed the size of a King to accomodate both of us, plus our 90 pound old english bulldog that refuses to sleep on the floor. I thought it would be a nightmare to actually utilize the 100 day trial period to return our Queen and purchase a King Purple mattress. NOPE!! They were FANTASTIC! They made everything completely seamless. Not only was it easy to return the Queen to buy a King; we were thrilled to find out that Purple didn't even want the Queen back. We were told we could donate (You read that right, DONATE) the mattress to the charity of our choice for a full refund on the Queen! So in the end, we have a King size Purple mattress that we (and our bulldog, Brutus) love, and someone in need of a blessing got a brand new Queen size Purple matress that i'm sure they will love. This is what it looks like when companies pay it forward! We need more companies out there that do business this way. My wife and I wish Purple nothing but success in the future! Oh... And the mattress is literally the most comfortable thing we've ever slept on. We don't even refer to it as going to bed anymore. I am finally the proud owner of a Purple 4 mattress, and my only regret is that it took me so long to get one. I have been mildly obsessed with Purple products since the internet exploded with hype a few years back, but never bought a mattress because I wanted to try it out first. (I have the Royal butt pillow, though, and it's amazing.) Well, I finally found a local store that has all four Purple models in store! I went for a visit, tried them all out, and fell in love with the Purple 4. Now, I like soft beds, but I can admit that there's a point where a bed becomes too soft and no longer supportive. The Purple 4 is soft like that, but you can really feel the support. I'm a side sleeper, and so I always have tension in my shoulders and hips, and with the Purple 4, those parts just sink right in, and the rest of my body is still supported. It sounds like I'm quoting the commercials, but it really is true. One of the big reasons I didn't get a Purple mattress from the internet is because the polymer is such a different material from regular mattresses and I was concerned it would feel really weird to lay on. It doesn't. The mattress cover is padded enough that you can't feel the grid at all. The no-motion-transfer thing is really awesome too. I go to sleep much later than my husband, and my getting in bed used to wake him up. Not anymore with Purple! I also have the Purple mattress protector, which is exciting because it's stretchy and breathable! I've never had a stretchy mattress protector before, and it's really a great thing, especially with a mattress like this that is meant to be squishy and cooling. If you put a rigid protector and sheets on it, you're losing part of the benefit of the mattress. I use regular jersey knit sheets as well, for the stretch, but I'm probably going to get the Purple sheets soon too (in purple of course). The store had them in stock as well and they feel quite pleasant.
