Bed took a bit long to ship. I believe about 3 weeks. My husband liked bed immediately as he has a bad back. However I felt it was too hard. Honestly I tossed and turned all night never being able to get comfortable. We had to return. Process was easy as we donated to Salvation Army. Return was credited within hours of submitting receipt. We had to order 2 twins from another company that offered a softer alternative for me.

My old mattress was 20 years old and had springs coming out the sides of it. I had 2 inches of a padded mattress protector on top of it, but that did not take care of the HUGE dip in the middle and the springs poking into all the wrong places. When my husband and I set up the mattress and laid on it the first time, both of our backs hurt like they had to crack really bad. That feeling went away shortly, and now I don't wake up sore like I use to on the old mattress. The purple has a good level of softness and a nice feeling of support underneath. I didn't understand when people would say this about the purple, but once you lay on it, it makes a lot more sense! I never want to leave my bed now. Also, my husband used to toss and turn and get very overheated. That doesn't happen anymore. We both can sleep through the night and fall asleep faster.

This mattress is so great! I was ready to sacrifice a month's worth of sleep because many of the reviews said it takes about 30 nights to get used to. Not so for us! My husband and I both slept like babies the very first night and every night thereafter. We've had it for about 3 weeks now and it's been a godsend. Maybe the old mattress was in such bad shape that anything would have been an improvement, but whatever it is, it's great. Big "Purple" fan here!

I had my reservations about this mattress and I really hesitated to the idea of buying a mattress online! But.....I'm so glad I did. It took about 5-10 nights to fully adjust. I'm 100% in love with my bed now! I no longer toss and turn with my shoulder hurting or an ache developing in my hip. The other surprise was at how cool I sleep. I purchased the bamboo stretchy sheets and they are so soft ! I'd highly recommend the Purple mattress to anyone looking for ultimate comfort.

Our Purple mattress has so far been very satisfactory. We are only a few weeks into the trial period but things are going quite well. I used to wake up with lots of lower back and hip pain and those things are mostly gone now. Occasionally I wake up with a stiff mid-back (hadn't had that before) and sometimes some tingling in my arms (possibly a height issue of the pillow) but overall I tend to wake up feeling good and well-rested. Being able to feel the structure of the top support layer takes a bit of getting used to. Hopefully all will go well as we further adjust to the support characteristics of this mattress. I have to say that there are absolutely no pressure points - it's about as close to feeling like you're floating as you can get.

noxious smell first kept me up at night, now it's dissipated a little but still fills my entire apartment with fumes. brings headaches. customer support is mechanical and vertical - agents do very little even when you speak to one. it's so bad - if i rub my hand on the mattress, the plastic smell transfer onto my hand.

The Purple bed is comfortable and firm. At first, we thought it was just another temper pedic but it really does push back and remain firm. The 4 star rating is because the delivery was not within web site timeframe due to a factory issue We feel in the future, we will replace any existing mattresses with Purple.

We love our new Purple Bed! My husband and I, as well as our golden retriever, highly enjoy how comfortable the bed is. We have been using our purple mattress since the day it arrived, and even sitting our our old mattress brings back nightmares! Love the product, and wish we had gotten it sooner.

We bought a single-sized Purple mattress, bed frame, and sheets for our 11-yr old daughter to upgrade her to a bigger kid bed. She's extremely happy with it all! She loves the "squishy" mattress and soft sheets. We're thinking of upgrading ourselves next!

I went for the basic purple mattress, because it was already pretty expensive. I probably should have gone with one of the hybrid models, because we're side sleepers, but we took a chance. When I'm laying on my back on this mattress, it feels great, but it's a bit too firm for a side sleeper.
