Amazingly comfortable right out of the package. With my old mattresses, I used to go to bed feeling fine, but would wake up sore every day. With the original Purple Mattress, I wake up everyday feeling great, no more soreness or pain. It doesn't get hot either. By far the greatest invention since the straw bed!!!

I bought the original purple mattress because it was within my budget. Despite not being as fancy as the newer purple mattresses, it's still the best mattress i've ever owned. Would definitely recommend to back sleepers and stomach sleepers especially! The original mattress also delivers pretty fast and set up was really easy.

I have been unable to get comfortable on my purple bed. My lower back aches when I lay on my back. I'm allergic to memory foam and the bed must have memory foam in it because my eyes are puffy and scratchy in the morning and I get a slight sore throat. These go away during the day. If I sleep on another bed I do not experience any of these problems. My husband thinks the bed is comfortable and has helped his back.

I've always had trouble finding a good bed thats comfortable with my hip dysplasia. This bed craters my hips so I feel no pressure and gives me full support. Honestly I haven't slept this well in a long time! I don't wake up with aches and pains, I used to wake up and could barely move my legs because my joints were stiff, now I get up and get going!

So far we really love the mattress! It is definitely a different feel to get used to. Sitting up in bed causes you to sink, but once you get flat and distribute your weight it is very comfortable. Since my wife and I work different schedules, I really appreciate the ability for us to get in out out of bed without disturbing each other (aside from the mid sleep roll accompanied with the pulling of sheets to her side of the bed, leaving me exposed to the cold breeze from the fan). Hoping that this mattress holds up for many years. By the way fedex was horrible at getting us our bed. After several days of our mattress being left in a semi trailer at one of their distribution centers, we had to drive to their location to retrieve it. We did have a small hole on the top side of the mattress when we unpacked it.

Firstly to let you know... I am a blue collar worker that has recently taken my father into my home because I don't want him to go to a Nursing home. He has a lot of trouble with pain in his back and hips. And after seeing a lot of the Purple adds, and doing a little research on this mattress? I knew it would be the best thing for him. Knowing that there are a lot more underlying problems internally with him! I thought this would be a very good first step to making him as comfortable as possible, getting him a better night sleep than he had gotten in the past. That would promote a better day the next day with activities. And it definitely has. The reason I titled this review the way I did? Is simply because it is true. Literally, the night before this Purple mattress arrived. I heard him up and about.. Keeping me up worrying about him. The day after it arrived and we replaced his old mattress with this new one? I didn't hear anything that night. So? Not only did he get the rest that he deserves... I also wasn't woken up wondering why he was up at odd hours. I noticed right away when I got up for work the day after he slept on it, that... He was smiling, had coffee ready for the both of us, and was walking around the house with a little more "Pride, in his Stride". This was and probably always will be the very best investment I have ever made. Thank you, Purple for making my Dad feel better. And in turn! Making me feel better. A loving son and customer. This bed has been rough. My husband and I are both side sleepers, but for some reason he loves this bed and I wake up every morning for the last three weeks with major muscle pains. This bed is firmer than expected, and we are now going to buy a topper and see if that makes it bearable for me. Maybe the more expensive purple hybrid versions would be good, but we can't afford them at this time. Sad that it is not working without an additional cost of a topper.

I have had several types of mattresses, by far this is the best ever. When delivered in thought it looked small to be comfortable. I was delightfully please. Comfortable. I usually have a hard time falling asleep, but now I fall asleep within a twinkling of an eye

So we tried the purple hype and was extremely disappointed. Wife hated the purple mattress as did I. We both woke up with terrible back and shoulder pain and would get up more tired then when we went to bed. Tossed and turned all night long. Returned the purple mattress. Going to keep looking and trying other mattresses.

I debated on purchasing this bed, but I'm sure glad I did! I have back issues and always woke with stiffness. Not anymore! I can still sleep on my side and since my body is being supported I get a good nights sleep and wake with no pain or stiffness. My body didn't take long to adjust to the bed. I'm so glad I bought the purple bed! Just wish I would have done it sooner.
