This mattress is pretty heavy. It took two of us to get it onto the platform base. It didn't smell bad like new memory foam. It did have an odor but it wasn't bad, and it went away fairly quickly. Sleeping on it is so refreshing! There are no coils, no pressure on my hips, back, or neck. The Purple mattress is the best mattress I've ever had. It's so comfortable. It's not too firm, not too soft with just the right amount of support. I don't toss and turn as much now and wake up more refreshed and without pain. We also got the protector. Haven't got the sheets yet but will soon. I'm recommending Purple products to all my family and friends.

I was a bit skeptical of all the online hype and we did a lot of research on which mattress would best suit our needs. We landed on Purple and WOW! The mattress is that good! Super cool, no more night sweats! Very comfortable with minimal motion transfer now I can get out of bed without waking up my wife! Praise Jesus!! It arrived very quickly after ordering and we are awaiting its smaller cousins the Purple Pillows any day now! We are now one big, happy, well rested, Purple family!!!!!

We bought the split king adjustable bed and mattresses. We are in love. All the suffering from years of our Sleep Number bed were gone instantly! There is a perfect amount of support for us. It starts stiff but as you lay there you feel the mattress mounding around you. After years of not being able to find our sleep number the Purple Mattress is the most wonderful result!

We've had our purple mattress for a couple years and the mattress is fine. I like higher thread count sheets and they do not stay on this mattress. So, I had to purchase the Purple sheets. They are like a t-shirt material and kinda stretchy. So all night long I'm pulling the fitted sheet out to try to smooth it out and they are thin, so you can feel the grid underneath. We tried the entire sheet set, but the top sheet just bunches up and is impossible to keep up with all night. I buy the sheets I like to use for the top sheets and pillow cases. Then I have to buy the expensive (expensive because the quality isn't there and I only use the fitted sheet) Purple sheet so the fitted sheet will stay on the mattress. We have to replace the fitted sheet pretty often, because it doesn't wear well. Final annoying straw was this week when I received another set of Purple sheets. I ordered white and it didn't say anywhere on the site that they were discontinued. So, I get whatever color they wanted to send me and then I find out the white was discontinued. Returning things is always a pain, so I'm just keeping them. Bottom line, I wouldn't order the mattress again. I don't know if my sleep is better or not, because I'm constantly just messing with the sheets. For the price you pay for the mattress, you would expect not to have constant frustration.

To start out I have arthritis and it's pretty much in every joint and going to sleep on my old mattress was like sleeping in a bed of nails. Every morning I'd wake up with more pains then I had the night before. Since sleeping on the Purple mattress I feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud, instantly in just one night of sleep I woke up without any pain for the first time in years. And every night is the same, no matter how many aches and pains I get during the day one night of sleep and their gone. I call this my nightly recharge never ever will I buy another mattress I'm a Purple girl forever!

I'm not at all happy about leaving a mediocre review but....... My wife and I will definitely concede that we are unique and have definite sleep issues. We we're so hoping that Purple would solve them but no luck. On the bright side I do believe that Purple is a quality well made sleep system for the money.. Just didn't work for us.

I am so happy with my Purple Mattress. As a former Division I athlete with a great deal of chronic pain, I am so pleased with my purchase of the Purple Mattress. I am no longer waking up in pain because of the support my Purple Mattress provides. I highly recommend this mattress to anyone who wants to FINALLY get a good night's sleep.

I have had my mattress for less than a month and it already seems to be making a dip in the middle where I sleep. I had my previous mattress for 17 years and just now making that dimple that I wanted to get away from. I'm not for sure that I particularly like the way that sleeps. If it keeps sinking like it is now I will need another mattress in less than a year. Time will tell.

No more stiffness or back pain! I switched from a Tempur-pedic and found almost immediate relief with the Purple mattress. I was shocked that a mattress could be so soft and comfortable - yet firm enough to support my back and prevent back pain. Highly recommend.

Im a back sleeper and is ok not bad i dont wake up with pain but i still a litle uncomfortable. I need somenthing alitle softer just a tid bit. How ever my pillow sucks!! I cant find a pillow that i can feel good with. Maybe its the combo between my pillow and the matress. I would love to see how the new purple pillow feels like in contrast to the purple matress.
