A friend of mine recommended the Purple mattress and I did extensive research before buying it. I'm a frugal person so making this kind of purchase was a big deal to me, even with a free trial. I bought the seat cushion first and it really helped so I decided to splurge on the bed. I have pretty moderate health issues including stenosis and several herniated discs in my neck and lumbar region. I have sciatica/SI joint issues and hip and knee pain. With my old mattress, I was waking up hunched over and really struggling to walk to the bathroom when I first woke up. Now I am pretty much standing straight in the morning. I have a mirror on my door and saw a noticeable change. Listen, I still I have back and hip issues but they have improved. After about 10 days I did have a slight regression in sleep quality but I stuck it out and my body adjusted as others had said in their reviews. I bought the Purple 2 because it was firmer than the 3 and I am happy with it. The money is worth my quality of life. I do wish the mattress was a little firmer but obviously there's some science to this. I am planning to buy the pillow next. Also, if you have back issues, I suggest delivery because the mattress is very heavy. Even rotating it is a 2 person job. One last thing, I am really particular about smell and some mattresses that are packaged have an industrial smell to them which drives me crazy and give me a headache. There was a slight smell at first but it dissipated in less than a week. Overall, I recommend this mattress if you are in pain.

We've had our Purple 1 (the original) for about a month. Good: Very comfortable. Just the right amount of support. The polymer eggcrate grid feels weird at first, but it's pleasant and COOL to lie on - nothing like memory foam. We also have the mattress protector, which is rather expensive but I think worth it; it breathes well and isn't heavy so it stays cool as well. I can sleep equally well on my side, face up, or face down, which was definitely not the case with our old innerspring. My lower back also definitely likes this mattress better. Bad: ...I haven't found a significant downside so far. I'm wondering about the possibility of mildew developing on that non-porous eggcrate eventually, but as I noted above the mattress shell and protector breathe well, and we pull the bedding off it for a few hours every week, so I'm not really worried about it. Bottom line: We're both impressed with this mattress. It's comfortable, easy to take care of, and reasonably priced by modern mattress standards. We'll probably buy another for the guest room at some point.

It's cool comfortable for me, but what truly made me notice a difference between this mattress and my old one, is that my dog stays on the bed the entire night! She normally gets off the bed early during bedtime because she gets hot. But, not with this one!

Receiving and unpacking our mattress was easy as pie. upon first impressions the mattress was a comfortable firm. However the wife couldn't sleep a wink as she was complaining that it was too cool. She says its similar to sleeping on an air mattress. If she doesn't sleep, I doesn't sleep:( Unhappily sending it back.

Both my husband and I, in our early 60's, are sleeping better and feeling better in the mornings since we received our Purple mattress. We toss and turn and wake up during the night significantly less. In the mornings, we have fewer or no aches and pains in our shoulders, hips and lower backs. The 100 nights free was the reason we ordered in the first place, along with the claim that it is not hot, and it's not hot! We've done our research in the past, spent $$$ in stores, bought expensive name brands and have been stuck with a mattress that was very uncomfortable. We're much happier now!

We liked this bed so much we bought a second one. We are both side sleepers and went with the original purple bed. If you buy the purple frame to use instead of traditional box spring it makes the bed a little more firm. We actually prefer it to be softer so we are going back to box springs. You do need to give the bed a full 30 days before your body gets use to being supported correctly. It caused both of us to have a sore neck for about the first three days then all of a sudden you begin having the best sleep you have ever had. I use to need 10-12 hours of sleep a night to feel rested. I now sleep so well I'm rested after 6-8 hours of sleep.

I was given some advice many years ago by a wise and trusted woman. She told me to never skimp on good shoes or a good mattress because you spend most of your life on your feet or in bed. This nights sleep is WAY worth the cost! With love and gratitude for y'all at Purple

I LOVE this mattress. I have been needing a new mattress for a long time and had been researching so many of them. Sleeping cool is a must for me so this disqualified many of the mattresses I looked into. It also had to be affordable; this disqualified others. I came across Purple on YouTube and thought the videos were hilarious. Thought I would give their 100 day period a try . . . and I was able to finance! Yes!!! Score!!! By the third day I knew I had to dispose of my old mattress because Purple is a keeper. Thank you, guys, for all your research and thought that went into developing my mattress.

This is our 3rd purple purchase. Our first was for my wife and I, we purchased a queen size and had for 5yrs. 6 months ago we upgraded to a king size and gave our queen to our daughter. Recently our middle son moved into his own room(was sharing a room with our youngest, and we purchased a twin long for him. These mattresses are the best sleep you'll ever have. Our family loves our purples!❤️ You can't go wrong with Purple and their customer service is 2nd to none. Go for it!

In high school I met a drunk driver going the wrong way in the dark, and I have had recurrent back issues ever since. That was 1969. In June I rolled out my purple and laid dome on it on my back with feet hanging over the edge. In a minute my neck popped, then my middle back, and finally my problematic lower back. No chiropractor needed! Since then I have had no problems with my lower back locking up. I love this bed!
