After 3 decades of horrible mattresses and agonizing back and neck pain, I believe I qualify as an expert on mattresses and pillows. Before I bought my Purple products (mattress and pillow) I couldn't even lay down for more than 15-20 minutes before I was forced to stand up due to the pain. And just like the "Goldilocks" analogy, I tried soft, medium and hard mattresses. Including a contoured pillow. Waste of time and money. I even tried sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag! I was THAT desperate. I was seriously considering a water bed, but didn't want the expense or the trouble. Especially since it might not work either. That's when I decided to try Purple. Those "egg" ads were very convincing. Thank goodness I did! I've only had them for 21 days and I'm resting and SLEEPING comfortably for the first time since I was child. (I'm 58-yrs young.) I totally forgot what "resting" and "sleeping" meant. NOW I remember. No more changing positions and getting up to relieve the pain, because there is none. I don't even need to use my various back and neck massage devices! And I don't think I'll be needing that "100-day trial" period. I'm convinced. If my house catches fire the only thing I'm rescuing is my Purple mattress and pillow! They're the only things of value to me. Do yourself a favor. If you're still THINKING of getting a Purple mattress, then quit "thinking" and just buy one. It's money well spent and your body will thank you. Was on my 2nd queen sized mattress (loved my first one) and couldn't figure out why after a year I was getting terrible sleep, no support, woke up sore etc. Emailed purple and did an in home test, they replaced my mattress in a hurry (it was defective) couldn't be happier with them. Thanks guys! Will definitely buy again when I'm in need of another!

I had high hopes for the Purple Mattress, and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. This is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I am a back sleeper, but will lay on my side from time to time. No matter what position I'm in it is super comfortable.

Purple does a really great job marketing their mattress, I will say that. Ordering and delivery were quick and easy. I was pumped to get my new Purple! Once I started sleeping on my new Purple, my arms and hands started falling asleep which as you can imagine, is not a good proponent for a good night's rest. The purple is thin and feels insignificant. It felt cheap. I track my sleep on my smartwatch and my deep sleep dropped from about 90 minutes a night to sometimes as low as 15 minutes to around 45 minutes. You know when you finally get in bed at night and you have the feeling of "ahhh it's great to be in bed"- well I never had that getting into the Purple. I never had the desire to get in bed to watch a movie or read. To sum it up, the Purple mattress is just MEH. I returned mine and got a Saatva.

This mattress was one of the first big purchases I made when I moved into my own apartment. For years, I'd been sleeping on a crappy twin bed and then "upgraded" to a double that my dog had eaten a giant hole in. Needless to say, I was in desperate need of a new mattress. But I didn't want just any mattress. I wanted to make sure I did my research and picked the best mattress for me -- I mostly sleep on my stomach/side and wanted something that wasn't too soft or too firm. Also, I live in a city so the idea of shopping for a mattress online and getting it delivered right to my door was a dream come true. Purple consistently came up as the highest rated mattress, and when I was finally ready to make my purchase I had peace of mind knowing I could return it (for free!) in 100 days if I didn't like it. BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. I LOVE this mattress. It was money well spent and something I would recommend to anyone looking to invest in a new mattress. It definitely gets some getting used to and doesn't feel like any mattress I've slept on before, but now, it feels like sleeping in a giant, supportive hug. It's like if your mom became a mattress, and she's perfect. 11/10 would recommend.

Are you kidding me? This is THE BEST MATTRESS EVER !! I told my husband who can buy a mattress online without checking it out and laying on. Well, after spending good money on other name brands in our local stores and had to return them all after testing and laying on them and a couple I even laid on for an hour. They were horrible and put me in pain that I didn't have before. (now I know where all my pressure points are) What happened to the quality of the old name brands? Thus I thought ok what do I have to lose with money back guarantee. I did it, I ordered online and OMG. Best night sleep in two years and the pain the others gave me I had to return (for store credit) was gone on night one. Purple saved me. And for those like me saying how ridiculous it was to buy that sight unseen among other words. I take it all back. Even my ailing dogs sleep better and we all do not get hot! 3 dogs and two peeps. I normally never write reviews and just had to do a review on this. Please don't ever get rid of this original mattress. 10 year warranty but even if it last a good 6 I will be purchasing again for sure. In fact I am going to order the new dog beds! The key for those that say they are hot is the bamboo sheets. Don't use regular sheets. There is a reason why and I can feel the difference. Closest to bamboo is jersey modal 100% pure beech. They work too. Being menopausal I found what works. Awesome Bed! Its been almost 30 days and I know i will go past the 100 day guarantee. But comfort is comfort and I found it. Always had lower back pain in the past and when my old bed wore out I knew it was time for a new one. Just can't believe the beds in local stores were crap now. Husband called up brother who works for a foam company and told us that the name brand companies were using lower quality foam nowadays. That might explain it. My son a truck driver has the seat cushion and swears by it. I bought the mattress and called to tell him and he told me he had the cushion. Wow, we didn't even know each other had purple in some way. He wants to see if they make custom bed for his truck. I asked him to call purple. I don't have that answer yet while writing this. It arrived nicely packaged and was amazing to watch it open. Follow directions and there is zero problems. We did it and didn't have to move or lift. Awesome-Love it !! I didn't have my hopes up too high when I ordered this mattress but I was pleasantly shocked and surprised. I've dealt with sciatic pain for years and I hated going to bed because of the discomfort and pain with my memory foam mattress. I've had the People Purple mattress for two weeks and it is awesome! I can now sleep in any position with comfort and really looking forward to going to bed and staying in bed. I'm definitely sleeping better and longer.

I haven't had a bed since 2011 since then I primarily slept on couches since it was cheaper. I decided after breaking my third couch to get a real bed and let me tell you this it is worth every penny. I saw the purple bed online and doubted their claims but was willing to get one since they have that 30~100 night warranty or whatever. Dude it was awesome, you spend like a 1/3 of your life asleep might as well sleep on something that's worth it.

I have not overslept sleeping on my previous mattress, but on my purple mattress I overslept because I slept so deeply. I wake up in the same position I went to sleep in! I'm 65 yrs old and when I wake up my bones don't hurt, my back doesn't hurt. I think the other members of my family are going to want one, too!

I sleep the best on my side. My old mattress I slept for around hour before waking up to shoulder and hip pain. With my new purple I'm able to sleep for 2-3 hours at time before waking up and having to reposition. Made a big difference on my work days.
