As a flight attendant I sleep on too many variety of beds. This Purple Mattress is the one and only to provide consistency. Just the right temperature no matter which blanket used with the seasons. Not one sweaty sleep to date. Even sleeping with only a flat sheet is comfortable. (Unlike that always cold aircraft cabin temperature. We hate that too). Purple holds the body with delicious comfort and support. The responsiveness is exquisite when rolling over or changing sleep positions (if at all necessary). I can testify that I have stopped any major tossing and turning because it is often when I would wake up in almost the same sleep position. Kinda eerie. Sleep comes more quickly. Mornings are easy to wake up refreshed and so well rested. Sometimes I wake up before the alarm feeling grand like in a Disney movie. Never a feeling of not wanting to get out of bed because I feel more excited to know I will return to it. It is my sanctuary retreat. I dare say it promotes better posture. Zero aches or stiffness to date. Ladies and Gentlemen, your regular sleep routine has been canceled. Welcome to Purple, better than clouds.

Very unique and comfortable feel. After 4 weeks, my back pain is gone! Prior memory foam mattresses gave me the "sleeping in quicksand" feeling and didn't provide adequate ventilation. Both problems solved with the Purple. The bottom layers are firm (maybe slightly too firm for my taste but that is a minor issue), but the top layer eliminates pressures points, responds immediately to position changes, and breathes very well. My wife and I both love this mattress!

I am a side/ back sleeper and my husband is a stomach sleeper so it has been difficult to find a mattress that we both like. We both LOVE our Purple Mattress! And, I can't promise that this will happen for everyone, but my husband snores WAY less now, and when he does it's quieter/softer. It has to be the mattress because nothing else has changed recently! I already have trouble falling asleep, and his loud obnoxious snoring would always start right when I'm ready to finally fall asleep, but not anymore!

I LOVE this mattress! For the past two years I've had real issues with hip & back pain. After sleeping on my new Purple Mattress for a couple weeks, the pain in my hips are completely gone & my back is vastly improved! The mattress is soft on the top portion, cradling the body just as the advertisement says, under the soft, waffle type material is a supportive, dense material that is pretty firm. The mattress as a whole was firmer than I anticipated but exactly what my body needed! Firm it is, but not hard. I'm truly having much better sleep & have recommended my mattress to a few friends. Th as no you Purple People for my fantastic mattress!!

After one year we are as pleased as we were the first night. The purple mattress arrived in the box a year ago and we have slept comfortably ever since. For us to invest in a mattress off the Internet was a new process and I have to tell you we were not disappointed. The purple mattress is the best mattress we have ever slept on. I cannot say enough about the comfort of the mattress supportive, cool and with our adjustable base it is a delight. We are changing all of our other mattresses for our guest to purple

Day 1: unpacked purple, HEAVY, AWKWARD, HARD TO MOVE! Laid on it, pretty excited. This definitely feels different than any beds I've laid on. Sat up... Hmmm... Not a lot of movement to my husband, that's good. Doesn't feel too hard to lay on, but sitting up I can feel my back compressing. What's that smell? Maybe it will dissipate. Will our sheets fit? Do I like this bumpy feel to the top? It feels like an egg crate under this top layer. Why are my feet hanging of the end of the bed? I'm only 5'7... They've never done than before, is this bed shorter? Hmm, look at that, it's like 2 inches shorter. Night 1: noticed the smell immediately, but still hopeful it'll fade, and the bed felt very supportive. Within the first ten minutes, my shoulders were being pinched in such a way as my hands fell asleep. I'm 5 months pregnant and side sleep mostly. My lower back feels supported great, but it's hurting my round ligaments in my hips, put my pillow between my legs, nope, And I can't feel my arms, I adjust to my back to let my arms wake up, OUCH! Even more painful on my hips. Fluff a pillow under my legs.... Nope, that's just as bad. Why does my pillow under my head feel like a rock now too? It was like this all night. They are right, it doesn't hold heat, I was cold before the night even began, which is a plus, but I'm still out on whether this is the bed for us. My Husband reported readjusting all night, too. He's unsure if it felt too hard or too soft? My guess is too hard under that top layer. Sitting up and standing this morning was easier, my lower back wasn't stiff, but man my hips are mad....Moving on to night two... 2 months later: (7 months pregnant) Finally, my husband seems to have adjusted to the bed, about 2 weeks in, we put a softer memory foam on top of it because of the constant pinching/pressure spot to my shoulders. I'm finally able to sleep. While this bed has been wonderful for my lower back issues as it's hard as heck and keeps me in alignment, I would definitely not say this is the best mattress for us. We simply cannot use it the way it was intended, sheets constrict the gel thing on the top, which lets face it folks, who isn't going to use a sheet on their bed, I have kids... Pee? Poo? Vomit? So it automatically made for a hard bed, it's supportive for sure, and that's the only reason I didn't return it. I don't wake up MOST nights with lower back pain. So there's it's only redeeming quality. I had to add a mattress topper to make it not hurt my shoulders as I'm a side sleeper. But I am free of lower sciatica pain. Seems to me it's a trade off...

Honestly, don't do it. This bed is way to comfortable. Add the purple sheets and it's over. You won't want to leave the bed. It's really hard to turn off your alarm and get up for work. It's so easy to sleep in and forget plans you made. Think twice before you take the plunge. Also: this is a firmer mattress. I initially jumped for a hybrid premier thinking I would love it because I'm a side sleeper but I was frustrated that my back hurt every morning. Switching back to something closer to the original (firmer) was my fix. Couldn't be happier!!

Loved my Purple mattress when it first arrived but 10 months later it was sagging. They requested I line up 5 filled 1- gallon jugs (like water jugs) on the mattress and take a photo so they could see sag issues. I did and they sent a replacement mattress right away. I just hope the new one holds up and that this was a rare warranty issue. It really is an extremely comfortable mattress.

My husband and I cannot stop raving about how much we love this mattress!! It took some convincing on my part to get us to spend a little bit more for a mattress, but we both agree that it has been worth every penny. We feel a lovely combination of comfort and support and have both slept better than ever. It's win-win for everyone!

First, the mattress: It's the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. For most of my life I have had latex and tempurpedic mattresses, and neither is more comfortable than The Purple Mattress. I've always had lower back pain sleeping on tempurpedic mattresses regardless of how soft or firm they were, and the same was true for latex mattresses (though to a lesser extent). Now that I am enjoying my Purple Mattress I wake up with no pain at all, anywhere. It's really awesome and comes at a reasonable price. Then, there are the people who work at Purple. My move to my house was delayed by two months so I wasn't able to unpack the first Purple mattress I ordered. Purple took the mattress back at no cost and then resend me a new mattress two months later. Customer service is top notch! I also bought the Purple bamboo sheets, which I like a lot. Overall, awesome company, excellent product, and at a good price. What's not to like!
