Purple service was great, but the mattress just hasn't completely blown my mind, but my husband loves it! My hubs: ~200lbs, 6ft3, side sleeper. Me: ~150lbs, 5ft2, side/stomach sleeper. He's slept like a baby since day one. It took me at least a month to get used to, and even now, I still have some hip/lowerback pain on occasion (my body adjusts to it better when I'm home for long periods of time. Anytime I come back from a few weeks of work travel, I have to re-adjust :( ). I wanted it to be the game-changer I had hoped for, but I realize that might just not exist for me. It is definitely way better than the old mattress I had, though, so props for that!

I have 3 of these mattresses, so clearly I love them. The last one I ordered for my dad, and there was a snafu with the shipping. It was Fedex that made the error, but the purple team reached out afterwards and made sure things were good, and sent me a set of sheets for the trouble. If you have a bad back like most of us, this is the mattress for you. There is nothing else like it period.

When I received it, it slept good the first few nights. But, then my shoulder and lower back began to ache. It got worse over the next couple of weeks. This mattress might be for some, but not for me. Purple's customer service was great and getting the refund was easy. Thank You Purple.

So far, so "meh". Before we purchased this mattress, I purchased the chair cushion and lumbar support just to see how the grid system worked (and if the cushions worked as advertised). I haven't used the actual cushion much as it makes me sit too high on my office chair, but did notice that both it and the lumbar cushion make you sweat - a lot. And the reason for this is the grid collapses as it supports, so there is zero air flow through the grid. As far as comfort, they work nominally well. Our old mattress was a pseudo-memory foam affair that lasted exactly 2 years before it decided it was going to collapse in the middle as most do. Our previous mattress was a coil spring which did the same thing (we, as a couple, are not overly large people.. just sayin'). So, I thought a hybrid might do the job, and we sat on a P3 at a local retail store and it seemed to have "all the right moves". We ordered one. We're figuring with the 3 month warranty from the retail store and the 10 year through Purple our butts would literally be covered. The first week or so there was a pungent odor that weirdly I was only able to detect - and it was more a taste thing than anything else. It's somewhat dissipated now, but still occasionally get a whiff. Mattress movement with a partner isn't too much an issue - it does creditably well there. My main issue is actually sleeping close to the edge (a queen, and giving my partner some room), the edge will actually collapse, almost spilling me off the bed. Purple needs a solid band around the edge of their grids, maybe 2" wide and as deep as the grid to keep this from happening. As for sleeping comfort... yeah, it's ok. I don't think it's as 'cool' as they tout it to be (to the touch), but I'm not sweating, either. My arms will occasionally fall asleep if I'm on my side, but they'll do that in other places as well so I can't directly blame the mattress. The mattress itself is bouncy, I'm sure directly related to the grid gel. And you can feel the grid through the top cover of the mattress. It's not annoying, just one of those oh.. there's one kind of thing. I think Purple could step up the technology with the gel formation - I feel a "foamed" version of this gel - open cell, very loose foam (think soap bubbles) would be the next logical step as something like that could easily support the same amount of weight, be more breathable and provide the same support.

We purchased The Purple Mattress because of the reviews and claims about it being #1 for cancelling out motion. My husband is a leg kicker and I can still feel his every movement, I either can not get to sleep due to this or I am woken several times per night. The Purple Mattress was supposed to be the solution and sadly it is not. It was also supposed to be the answer to a hot sleeper and I have woken in the middle of the night several times in a hot spot.

This is the Review for the Power Base. It worked fine for few months, one fine morning it stopped working. It's currently in up-right position and couldn't flattened. Called Customer Support where we can only leave the messages and then they can call us back. But I never received any calls. Chatted with Support people at purple.com and they gave me 1-800 number. I called that number, they took all the information and said 'we marked it as urgent/emergency - someone will call you ASAP'. No one get back to me until now. Very bad customer support. They don't have any Case number system to refer- back. Every time they collect all the information and no one calls back. Purple - It's better if you change your Customer Support System.

This mattress has changed my life. No, seriously. I have scoliosis and have constant back pain. I have tried countless mattresses, and have never slept through the night and always wake up with back pain. This mattress cradles my bones in my back while providing support for my muscles and vice-verse. I have had the mattress four months now still love it. I wake up rested and in no pain. I have slept through the night more often than not. As far as I am concerned, if you have back issues, this mattress is medically necessary. I will always sleep on a Purple now. A genuine 10/10

We have slept on the same mattress for 15 years, and knew we wanted something that was comfortable for different sleep positions, but would also cut down on feeling movement. This mattress is so, so, so comfortable. I am blown away by how evenly I lay on it, and how comfortable it is to move around on. It does not feel hot to sleep on like other memory foam mattresses or even mattress toppers. I didn't know that a mattress could be THIS comfortable.

Like many of you, you want the best bed for the buck. This bed was totally worth it. I loved it from day one to day 450+ of lovely sleep. I switched from a bob-o-pedic bed and thought that I would miss it and nothing else was better. Also had the sleep number bed, which is crap compared to the Purple Mattress. I needed a solution to my problems: degenerative disc issues, sacroiliac joint pain, and I am a side sleeper. So I need something for shoulder, spine and hip support. Now that I am in my third trimester of pregnancy, I can honestly say that I am sleeping as comfortable as a prego can sleep compared to the bobopedic mattress that I had with my first baby. My hubby, on the other hand, is a back sleeper and he loves going to bed. We both wake up with no pain and night of good rest. Our three year old won't sleep in her bed now, even during nap time because she loves our bed. I almost feel guilty for wanting to purchase a full-size mattress for her because she's a toddler. The only downside which really isn't a downside is how heavy this beast is. We have a king size mattress and its super heavy to move around. Thankfully we don't move our bed that often. I suggest finding the perfect location for it first and then unbagging it. The mattress cover and sheets are amazing. I would go all the way and get the whole set. We spend a huge chunk of our lives sleeping and investing in good sleep is totally worth it.

I have been through 3 mattresses in the last few years trying to find one where I didn't wake up with severe back pain the next morning. I tried 2 memory foam brands and a spring mattress. Needless to say, none of them worked. I would wake up so sore I could barely move and also they slept hot so I'd wake up sweating. So, I decided to give Purple a try. I woke up the next morning after sleeping on it for just one night and NO BACK PAIN! You have no idea what that meant to me. I actually had a smile on my face! And it's been that way every night since. No back pain, no shoulder pain, no hip pain, and no neck pain with my Purple pillow! I also love the Puple sheets I got for free! It has been an amazing experience so far and I hope it continues! Thank you, Purple!
