I sleep on my side and my old mattress was so firm that my arm would fell asleep if I slept on it which would continuously wake me up. The Purple mattress cradles my body making it the best sleep ever!! The only thing I don't like is having to get out of bed in the morning!

I bought the queen-size original purple mattress and I absolutely love it. I am 52 years old and I can not remember the last time I have slept so good for so long.. I also have the purple pillow which in my opinion everyone should have whether you're on a purple mattress or not

My journey began with back and neck pain every morning. It was getting so bad it was hard to stand in the morning. I finally said enough is enough! But where do you start with so many options out there?! I mean it is seriously ridiculous! My mom brought the Purple mattress to my attention after seeing a commercial. It was one I had not checked into yet. When I went online to learn about it the commercials made me laugh...but so did the price. I continued to look at all the options and was getting frustrated. My husband was the one who urged me to really look into the Purple mattress. I read reviews, watched all the Purple videos they provide, but the youtube reviews sold me and helped me decide the Purple 3 was the one for us. Check out the reviews...you can also find reviews that compare them with other mattresses. I found it very helpful. So we took the plunge and ordered the Purple 3, the mattress protector, the platform base and received a free pillow. The pillow arrived first....let's just say it is 10.5 pounds! The first night it made my arm fall asleep because it is so heavy. But I adjusted my arm style (no longer under the pillow) and I have not looked back. Within a week my neck pain was gone! and has been for three weeks now! I am never going back to another pillow ever! It will just be odd to travel with a 10.5 pound pillow. I was getting very excited because the next week the mattress was coming. But also sick to my stomach...what if I hated the mattress?! The 100 day trial put me a little at ease. Finally the very heavy bed came, the delivery guys said it was very heavy and you could tell they struggled a little. But once it was in the room we had no problems! My first touch of the Purple mattress was interesting, because I could feel the purple matrix. After that first touch I never noticed it again. I am a back and side sleeper and my husband is a stomach sleeper and we find the Purple 3 to be perfect! Two weeks later and I have no back pain. I am also so well rested that I have not had caffeine in over a week! Never thought that would happen. I sleep soundly and so does my husband since I am not tossing and turning or waking up from over heating. This is a dream! The only down side is that I love this bed so much I don't want to get out of it and I find myself wanting to go to bed earlier and earlier. I know it has only been two weeks...but if I am already pain free I can't see it changing. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Thanks Purple!

I thought I was getting the best sleep I could in my memory foam mattress. However after owning said mattress for 8 years I started waking up with awful back and shoulder pain. So I started doing my research just to find out that memory foam was just making my pain worse. I decided to give Purple a try and boy am I glad I did! I'm two weeks in on owning Purple and I have said goodbye to back and shoulder pain. Goodbye to sleep medication and hello to happy mornings! Within five minutes of laying on Purple I am a sleep like a baby! No more tossing and turning trying to get comfortable, just instant comfort! Only thing I have a problem with is that I didn't buy one sooner!

My husband told me the other day that our new mattress is the best decision we made all year. We were both having back pain on our old mattress, and then on two other mattresses we tried out. A friend recommended Purple and let us come lie down on her bad and that was it! We love the mattress, LOVE the stretchy Purple sheets, and love going to bed every night (and getting up without aches and cricks). Customer service has been outstanding as well. I now have a bed that has been transformed into "all things Purple"! Literally! I've just finished reviews for sheets, mattress protector, pillow, bed frame, and seat cushion! (Ok, seat cushion not technically bed related, but since I did a review on it too.......) Now for the original purchase. The Original Purple Mattress! I looked longingly at the Purple 4, but as it, and the 2 And 3, were all clearly out of my price range I really knew all along it was going to be the Original. I don't know what the 2,3,and 4 are like, but I can't imagine that they could be any more perfect for me than the Original. I no longer have painful hips and shoulders in the mornings, nor do they wake me up when I move during the night. And not one time since I bought the mattress, have I been too hot during the night! Not one! I had become so used to the pain that I just assumed getting up in the morning was always going to hurt for the rest of my life. Now I just get right up out of bed like I did as a kid, and that's saying a lot, as I'm going to be 70 in just a few months. Thanks for making this old girl feel like a kid again, Purple!

I've slept on the mattress for about a month now. I weigh about 170lbs and am in good shape - the heavy parts of my body sink in (mid section and waist), and my arms/feet/head don't. For this reason, I can't sleep on my stomach, and sleeping on my back pushes my arms up restricting blood flow to my arms and hands. Also, I can already feel an impression forming. That being said, it does keep cool and sleeping on my side is ok. My wife likes it a lot because it is so soft. This mattress should cost half of the price it is listed at.

We bought this mattress for our 13 year old son who is in the midst of a growth spurt and had outgrown his old twin bed. He loves the mattress so much that he talks about it during the day and frequently can wait to get back to it. He tends to be a very hot sleeper and loves the cooling effect of this mattress.

In all honesty, I was hoping this bed would help me out with some of the issues I have with insomnia. It's only been a few weeks(ish) so far, and it doesn't help so much with being able to fall asleep any faster, but it does help me get more sleep at night and wake up feeling like I did sleep better than the pillow-top we had before. I wish it was a little cooler to sleep at night, but I'm guessing that's what the newer styles were created for.

We've had our Purple 1 (the original) for about a month. Good: Very comfortable. Just the right amount of support. The polymer eggcrate grid feels weird at first, but it's pleasant and COOL to lie on - nothing like memory foam. We also have the mattress protector, which is rather expensive but I think worth it; it breathes well and isn't heavy so it stays cool as well. I can sleep equally well on my side, face up, or face down, which was definitely not the case with our old innerspring. My lower back also definitely likes this mattress better. Bad: ...I haven't found a significant downside so far. I'm wondering about the possibility of mildew developing on that non-porous eggcrate eventually, but as I noted above the mattress shell and protector breathe well, and we pull the bedding off it for a few hours every week, so I'm not really worried about it. Bottom line: We're both impressed with this mattress. It's comfortable, easy to take care of, and reasonably priced by modern mattress standards. We'll probably buy another for the guest room at some point.
