I can't believe how COOL this mattress stays. I spend a few hours knitting in bed at night, most nights, and I do not sweat or over heat with this mattress. Compared to my memory foam mattress, this is way more supportive. I had to change pillows because my hips/shoulders don't sink down in the bed anymore - I needed a more densely filled pillow to keep my head and neck in line with my spine. It's week 2 with this mattress. I sleep FAR more soundly. I'm a side sleeper and actually feel asleep on my back one night! That has have never happened. My body is still adjusting (mainly neck) but am hoping the firmer pillow (MyPillow brand) will help once it arrives. Boyfriend has had a tougher time adjusting. Will update my review when his body fully transitions.

Since sleeping on my purple the pains I've had in my back and shoulders has been completely gone. I went out of town for busninsss and sleeping on the hotel mattress brought back all those old pains. Being away from home has made me realize I'll be missing my mattress when ever I leave now.

When we got it delivered there was no way I could lift it or drag it into the house, my husband had to do it, so it is really heavy, I suggest if you live alone or are a small person you will need to have a friend come help you get in to your place and get it to your bedroom. It was a real pain to get it unwrapped, lifted on to the bed , and get the plastic off. It really needs a sticker so something indicating which side is up so when you unwrap it you dont unwrap it wrong side up, which is what we did. I took a star off for these reasons only. The mattress was really uncomfortable the first week, but only because we where sleeping on crap and our muscles where not accustomed to having proper support so we had some soreness but now I dont want to sleep anywhere else! We are loving this mattress and both sleeping great! No more hip or back pain, and its not hot at all for a foam mattress. I will not buy anything other than a Purple from here on out. I suggest buying one right now and giving it a go! Oh and buy their mattress protector! please do it! Its soft and it's already come in handy (dog threw up on our bed) so yea add it to your purchase its worth it.

I had been shopping for a new mattress for some time. I looked at many. My son had gotten one and was very pleased. He has had some back pains and was very pleased with the results. At first, I thought it was too soft. It is not good for sitting on the side of the bed, watching TV and munching before laying down. That's probably not a good idea anyway. Once you lay down on it, it contours to your body shape. Since it does this, I can sleep on my side again without discomfort. I do think there is a difference in my daily stamina after getting a good nights sleep. I would recommend this bed to a friend.

I love that there arent any "dead" spots in the mattress. It took a week to get used to the feel and now we are sleeping like babies. I cant feel my husband move in bed anymore and I no longer have a permanent dent in my mattress. Its still oretty new but so far we are loving it

I am thankful to have finally found a bed that I can sleep on! My husband and I have both had neck surgeries, and I have had lower back surgery. Our Purple mattress gives just the right support to ease pressure and help us to relax! I am more than satisfied...I am thankful!

I had a decent bed, but it wore out. So, I tried the Leesa. It didn't work out. Next, I tried the Loom & Leaf, that was actually worse than the Leesa. The Purple; first time in longer than I can remember I woke up and got out of bed with no pain. It is, by far, the very best mattress I have ever slept on. Better than any hotel, better than a waterbed even. So, if you are searching for the right mattress, stop. Get the Purple. Oh, and the bamboo sheets? So very, very nice!!!

We got our first purple the original purple 2 year ago loved it best sleep love to crawl into our bed every night,then it started breaking down purple warrantee it with no problem. But they sent us the new purple R we have had it for 2 months now hate it my wife and I wake up sore and feel like we didn't sleep called purple and they there's nothing they can do. Wish we had our original purple...Now we are looking for a new bed elsewhere........

This is my in depth review of the experiences I have had with the Purple Mattress. Included is the observations of myself. Also included are some observations of my wife's habits. Mattress Background The previous mattress we were using was a Stearns and Foster Beautyrest 2 Queen. I had received it used 10 years prior to replacing it. Its total age was anywhere between 15-20 years. Late 2014 saw the addition of a Novaform 3in Gel Memory Foam cushion also a pillow topper. Personal Background Age: Mid 30's Weight: Mid to higher 200's Height: 5'10 Medical Issues: Reconstructive surgeries to both hips. Chronic Issues: Pain in: Hips, knees, shoulders, lower back, neck. Circulation issues with arms. General Observations with the Purple Mattress Weight: No one is being dramatic when saying this mattress is HEAVY. Installation: Can be cumbersome due to weight but if forethought is taken you and a second body can get it done in a snap. Feel: It is more firm than one would think from the videos. There is also give to it when enough pressure/weight is applied. Timeline Night 1: Installation of a new bed frame and the mattress left us exhausted. Sleep came easy. Could really tell the ease at which it lowered the pressure on key areas of my body. Week 1: Observing less pain in key areas. The give of the mattress takes time to learn so that one can get up and out. Wife is falling asleep easier and getting more hours. Week 2: Noticing changes in my sleeping positions. Previous sleeping positions lead to older issues with circulation and muscle strain. Allowing the mattress to do more supporting relieves these issues. Example: Sleeping fully on side is more comfortable that part side/part stomach. Wife has adjusted sleeping position. She is sleeping longer while on her back. Week 3: Sleeping positions have not adjusted as much as previous week. Decided to change the pillow used. As side sleeping is prefered need to use something thicker than a 4in dense memory foam. Week 4: Sleeping with a different pillow has helped sleeping more. Side sleeping does require thicker support. Noticing more dreams than I did in the past. Mid-night wake ups happen far less frequently. Usually sleeping 5-6hrs straight, instead of the previous 2-3hrs. Week 5: Finding myself sleeping longer. Before nightly average was 7hrs. New nightly average is 9. Old issues of waking very groggy are going away. When I wake up on my own I am very alert. Week 6: Feeling fully adjusted to the Purple Mattress. Have not waken up with any lower back pain in 2 weeks. Knees do not ache when getting out of bed. Review The Purple Mattress is something I would've never expected. A firm platform that moves with me where I need it. A bed that allows my wife and I to sleep in better comfort that is beneficial to our health and sleeping habits. If you are someone who wants to sleep on soft stuff than this probably isn't for you. The support will throw you off. If you are one that wants to sleep on a hard floor, well you might just be surprised by the feel of the Purple. You can have comfort and support. We absolutely love our Purple. This can not be said enough. I wish I could describe the feel of it better so that others may be able to decide to make the change to Purple. It doesn't isolate motion as some other platforms. The more weight that is applied the more the mattress has to adjust. The top layer has the bounce back of something that is close to jello, but no wiggle/jiggle or mess. The sleeping temperature of it is indeed neutral. There is no cold or hot spots, just cold or hot people. The sleep that we get on the purple feels natural. The only thing close to this feeling is that of a water bed, without the constant motion. If you are thinking of moving to Purple then we do recommend it. If it does not work out for you the company has a great return policy, or there is sure to be someone you know with a very old mattress that can use an update. The price point is fantastic, so why not try it out?

Honestly, this is the best that I've ever slept in. I do not have any back pain I do not have any hip pain I do not have any joint pain sleeping on his bed. Having recently traveled Out of country and spend a week there, I was worried about sleeping because I knew the bed in the hotel would not match the comfort level of my bed at home.
