I'm a 55 year old US Army veteran with a long list of aches and pains. Active duty was very hard on my back, shoulders and hips. As a side sleeper this has been a problem for years. My wife and I have tried so many different brands and types of mattresses over the last 20 years with the same results. Not sleeping more than 4 or 5 hours a night due to constantly turning from one side to the other and getting up with my hips killing me. My hips would hurt so bad during that night that rolling over was extremely painful and could take as long as 3 minutes. 3 minutes don't sound like a long time but it is just to go from your left side to your right. I just resigned myself to this being the rest of my life in bed. So we are watching TV one night and I saw a Purple commercial. Like all my purchases i did my due diligence and read up on the Purple mattress. We decided to try it and my nights will never be the same. I slept 8 hours the first night and when I woke that morning tears almost came to my eyes. It may not resonate with most people but it has so far been the mattress I've wished for. I'm grateful to whoever designed the Purple mattress and will be a loyal customer for life. I've even woke up on my back a time or two which was previously unheard for me. The whole process from buying online to putting the sheets on was easy and straight forward, even getting the financing was a breeze. My only word of caution for future customers is have help ready when it arrives, this isn't some cheap lightweight flimsy mattress. Thank you for giving me a great night's sleep again.

This was the fourth "Purple" that we've purchased. As far as we're concerned there's no other mattress out there that compares for comfort, SUPPORT, and if you hate the heat as much as we do, the "Cooling" effect that you get while sleeping. Many of those so called "THICKLY" padded luxury mattress out there are nice to look at but are actually very hot to sleep on in warm weather because of the padding.

This is far and away the best bed on the market. "Purple " really is a perfect blend of support and cushion. It allows the heavier parts of your body to sink in a little while evenly distributing your entire body weight. Most beds feel great when you first get in them, but when you wake up in the morning, you feel stiff and sore. I have had the purple for a few months now, and I wake up every morning and I have no more back pain. I work in the glass industry and heavy lifting is part of the job. I realize now, how important proper support is while you are sleeping. Ps. "Purple " if you are listening I could use some knee pads made out of the purple polymer

I purchased the OG purple bed and I wish i would have purchased the 4". I do not think that the OG has enough support for my weight (275 LBS) to sleep on my side and I wake up with sore shoulders every morning. I am only about three weeks in...I may upgrade.

Hello, I have had my purple bed for almost a month now. I am a 400 lbs guy that has always had porblems sleeping cause constant moving around to get comfy. This bed has changed my life!! Now, I sleep through out the whole night in one position. If I start on my side i wake up on my side, no sleepy arm. I never have liked sleeping on my back, but with this bed, if I climb into it and lay there for more than 15 minutes I am gone!!! Never have or will find another bed like this one!!!

I purchased my purple mattresss, bed base, and sheets. The mattress was delivered a few days before the bed base. Recommend the bed base be delivered first,so buyers can set it up before the mattress arrives. We had to wait several day for the frame to come in before we could break the seal on the mattress. Over all the buying experience was excellent. Thank you.

It's comical to write this review today. I had the pleasure of staying the past two nights in a hotel the for a business/work trip; after sleeping on purple for a month or so. I used to absolutely love my hotel stays. But not this time. While I slept okay, it definitely wasn't better than my home purple mattress. I'm in love. I'll never look back. I'm so happy to be home tonight. Thank you Purple, keep doing what you're doing right.

I've been sleeping on the regular purple mattress for about a month now. The first 4 days my back pain was worse than with my old mattress. But as the packaging says, your body is adjusting itself to a correct sleeping posture. After the pain went away, sleeping came easily. Unless you're actively pressing your elbows, fingers or heels into the mattress you don't feel the grid. The mattress cover seems to be removable for (I assume) laundering any serious spills. Lying on the mattress you immediately feel ventilated and not hot like when on a thick slab of cushioning. I sweat heavily (from just walking around) and although the mattress didn't entirely take away me feeling hot, I have NOT woken up drenched in sweat in 90 degree weather with no AC! What I love most about this mattress is how it feels. I like to explain that a regular mattress feels like the springs push you up and away from where gravity is naturally taking you. The purple mattress feels as if it is holding you up just as you would carry something in two hands. It sort of suspends you with no pressure. I'm 5'3", 145~ lbs and don't feel that I'm sinking into the mattress. My shoulder doesn't feel resistance when I lie on my side as I would with a spring mattress and my hips/lower back feel like they're actually decompressing when I lie on my back. This mattress is great! It also has about 3 inches of foam around the grid that'll protect you from rolling off the bed. The sheets that came with the mattress are super soft but feel weird to me. They felt like I wasn't being covered even when I folded it in half. Also there are no four corners to the sheet? Just the top and a rounded hem at its "edges". I don't like the sheet because I like feeling covered when I sleep. I'm also concerned at how equally thin the fitted is as I don't want to dirty my $700+ mattress and am unsure if the mattress protector would prevent airflow. Overall, Purple is a great investment. I was only able to afford it because of the stimulus check and for that reason alone I give it 4.5/5 stars.

I did alot of research and hesitate to buy a mattress from online without seeing or touching it. It was a great buy, I would recommend this mattress to anyone that did not find an affordable mattress and that need support and firm mattress. We love it.

I heard of Purple through one of their funny ads on Facebook, and I happened to need a new mattress. I'd heard of a lot of brands of foam-based mattresses that I'm sure are comfortable, but I hadn't found one yet that I wasn't sure would sleep way too hot for me. I learned that Purple sleeps cool, and was immediately interested. I read some reviews, compared, contrasted, yada yada yada, and finally purchased a queen-sized mattress. I've been so pleased with it. I'm sleeping through the night for the first time in years, with little to no back pain in the morning! I have scoliosis, so that's super important to me. I absolutely love my Purple mattress.
