After 6 months of excruciating sciatica and lower back pain, I can't believe that after just a couple of weeks that I feel and am sleeping so much better. I typically have tossed and turned throughout the night and would be sore when I got up in the morning. Now I am only maybe rolling over once all night long and when I wake up I am just wanting to lay in bed and relax a little longer. Best nights sleep I have gotten in the past 10+ years!!

I purchased my Purple mattress a couple of years ago. I needed to do a warranty claim. In both instances both product and customer service were excellent. I highly recommend Purple to anyone looking for a comfortable mattress backed by terrific customer support.

The Purple Mattress dramatically improved my sciatica and plantar fasciitis. I'm still stiffer than your average person, but there's no back pain. I still have heel pain on occasion, but before this bed, I had it every single morning. This bed has improved my quality of life, and when it's old I will buy another.

We've had our mattress for about two weeks. There is a ridge in the middle of the bed that pushes us the outside edge. I assumed it was from the packing and would eventually flatten out. This ridge forces me on my back, which in turn causes me to sweat all night long. The moisture on the mattress is causing it to release and produce an outgas smell. So far things are not going to well. I'm starting to think there is a defect, but I'm willing to wait it out and see if the ridge goes away...

I got this on the recommendation of one of my friends and it's been a fantastic experience! The bed is so comfy, even though it's not as thick as my old mattress. The directions to install were very clear and my sister and I were able to get it set up in no time!

I'll try to be brief. 300 lbs, old back injury, 53 yr old male, side and back sleeper. Traditional mattress and box springs would break down slowly, making it hard to tell that there was a change. I thought my back injury was to blame when I woke up feeling worse than when I went to bed. "You need to spend more and buy a "better" bed!" I was told. I can only spend so much on a failing system. I worked it down to where I felt "ok" with about 5 hrs of sleep. When I'd sleep in on the weekends I felt worse. Decided to buy the way-expensive but oh-so-worth-it Purple original. First the frame arrived and we removed our old frame and box springs and used our old mattress on it. With the luxurious under-bed storage it's worth just buying the frame because my old mattress felt so much better on it and now I had massive storage space. Honestly, if you're on a budget and your profile is similar to mine the frame is great all by itself with a standard mattress. Such an improvement. Then the sheets arrived but I wanted to wait to use them on the Purple. Finally the incredibly heavy giant purple package arrived. I can carry our old mattress with one hand by myself. You'll need 2 people to move the Purple. Heavenly. I almost cried after the first night sleep because I felt great when I woke up and I haven't felt that way for a long time. Now I look forward to sleep AND WAKE UP FEELING LIKE I GOT A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP. I had to all-cap that because it's a huge difference. Yes, you might be able to spend enough money to find a mattress that holds up to 300lb sleepers but based on my experience it will be at least as much as the Purple and it's still a gamble. "Oh you should've got brand X" they'd say after it broke down. It was fine for me right out of the box but my wife wanted to put a topper that she loves on it, didn't change it much and she's happy. We're both happy. Oh yeah, the sheets are insane. Smoothest thing I've ever felt. I never thought I'd love a bed, but I do. I couldn't be happier with it. (and the under-bed storage space is insane!)

I bought the original purple mattress because it was within my budget. Despite not being as fancy as the newer purple mattresses, it's still the best mattress i've ever owned. Would definitely recommend to back sleepers and stomach sleepers especially! The original mattress also delivers pretty fast and set up was really easy.

This is an amazing mattress. I sleep deeper than I could have imagined. Unfortunately, I am a side/stomach sleeper, which means that this mattress is just a tiny bit firm for me, but I am finding out that when I gravitate over to my back I fall asleep quickly and sleep better than ever. So it seems I will be giving up my lifelong love of tummy sleep for the benefits of improved sleep overall. It's honestly worth the trade, just took me by surprise. Also, we bought everything in the Purple line. We love the mattress protector, we love (LOVE LOVE LOVE) the sheets.

We have been sleeping on our purple mattress for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. It is the most unique sleeping experience I have ever had. I am dreading the traveling that we have to do because I know we just won't sleep as well. Great purchase!

I'm using it on a standard bed frame. so without the box spring it sits a bit low, I need to figure out a way to raise it. Also, the bed frame just has a few slats supporting the purple, i'm thinking i'll add more and a piece of 3/4 plywood to insure that the purple is completely flat and not sinking some where. Overall i'm pleased, and it is cool.
