...be careful unwrapping it. Not everyone has the luxury of having help when they unwrap this thing. I drug the roll into the bedroom and got it up on the bed OK, but when I cut away the wrapping it sprung open (because I had the edge of the roll on the top) and -beware- it will unroll with the bottom up. If you make sure the edge of the roll is on the bottom, you should be able to get it to pop open with the bottom side down. I have to wonder why they couldn't package them wrapped with the padded side on the inside rather than the outside so they would always pop open with the top side up. Other than that it's a great mattress and I like it alot. I wake up with much less stiffness (really !) and I'm 64.

For years I have slept on hand me down beds from friends and family, memory foam mattresses on the floor and couches. For a stint I would sleep next to a heater without a mattress. I would sleep, I thought, quite nicely, even on uncomfortable surfaces. This mattress changed my perspective on quality sleep. I finally had enough and decided to buy my first bed. Oh boy, the choices I had were endless. Almost paralyzing but Purple caught my attention. Not only does it look fantastic but it seemed the most comfortable. Me being a skeptical man, I was hesitant but multiple reviews on YouTube convinced me to try it. All I can say is, I am very pleased with the comfort, quality and appearance of this mattress! My sleep has never been better! I had some delays with the shipping but Purple kept me up to date almost every day.

I absolutely love our new california king size purple mattress. It was so easy to put together and then to actually sleep in it was just amazing. I never thought a bed could be that comfy. The only thing I would say which I don't believe is in purples ability is to make sure you have base on or before you get mattress so you don't have to wait to put it up in anticipation. Other than that ordering bed was easy shipping was decently quick and product is super comfy. Great bed! I plan to order again!

I have been sleeping on my Queen Purple for a little over 30 days now and while it seemed comfortable at first, as the days go on, I awake more sore each day. I can hardly move and fear it is just not right for my body. I am so disappointed as for over a year now, I have been unsuccessfully in search of a comfortable mattress.

Since sleeping on the Purple mattress, I never knew I really needed a new mattress until we bought one. Since then, my back pain has been completely eliminated. I have a habit of starting in my side and ending up on my back and still with no pain. Also, since getting the Purple, I have not had to use my fan from overheating; the bed has made it very comfortable to sleep on. Getting the Purple was honestly the best decision that my husband and I could have ever made for our lives and we just absolutely love it! Thanks!

I was nervous about purchasing a mattress online. I am 60 and my husband is 65 years of age. He doesn't understand buying something so important without seeing it first. Believe it or not.....he has decided to keep it!! Not one negative comment so far. Thank you!

We bought the purple hybrid 3 hoping for support and comfort, and it just didn't deliver. The reviews were very mixed, but a friend owns the same mattress and loves it. My husband and I both have back issues from previous car accidents, and the reviews stated this mattress helps alleviate that pain. 3 months in to owning it, and my husband is back to waking up in pain and sleeping on the couch. We are returning it today. I am highly disappointed, especially with the cost being so high. Would not recommend if you have back issues.

I've been an insomniac for a couple decades now. In the past 5 years in my Sleep Number bed, not only did I not sleep but I had pains in my sides and my back and my neck, so when I got up in the morning I was not only still sleepy, but also in pain. I'm very sorry to say that the Purple bed hasn't helped me sleep through the night, but the bed itself is so comfortable that my pain is gone. That's super important, definitely worth 5 stars! And my husband loves it too!

I am to light for the bed... I had a really bad back for about 2 weeks then got the bed tried it out 3 or so days past, it seemed to make my back worse. I ended up buying a memory foam topper about an inch to fill comfortable. The positive is that I don't toss and turn while asleep. I don't know prices on mattresses, but I don't think I would pay 1k again. P.S. I stioll have back pain it's just not as bad, (been about a month and a half.)

The mattress had two differences that took some time to get used to: the cooler feel and the firmness. The cooler feel of the mattress was shocking at first, but I quickly got used to that in only about two days. The firmer feel, and I like a firm mattress, took about 2-3 weeks. Once the mattress was broken in a bit, it softened up to where I don't have any shoulder soreness if I sleep on my side. I have slept like a brick ever sense I got the Purple; people should try it.
