I have suffered from back pain for at least the last 15 years. I'm not over weight or out of shape. I've always been a small person, but I'm a nurse so my back definitely takes a beating on a daily basis. I was diagnosed with rhumatoid arthritis 2 years ago as well. I injured my back severely when I was 12 years old and was thrown from my horse. I never stopped riding because it is my passion. It's also actually really good for posture, strengthening your core, and balance. But there's nothing like being able to sleep thru the night and actually remain comfortable. The first night that I slept in my new purple, I actually slept for 6 straight hours! That was the first time I've been able to do that in 15 years. Since then, I've actually over slept twice, which has never happened to me before. My friends have always joked that they knew they could call me at any time day or night, and I would answer because I never sleep. They no longer say that about me. I'm so in love with my purple mattress, I could never give it up! You guys rock!!

We purchased our Purple mattress 4 months ago. We went from a queen iComfort mattress that was about 17 inches thick to a king Purple. I don't want to mention that some of the love of the Purple mattress could just be that it's a king vs a queen. The Purple has been great. For some reason ours came about square so it's a little short. That's kind of odd. On the plus side, it means we can rotate it a quarter every time instead of just the 2 directions. We still have our old queen mattress (that was only 2 years old) and sometimes one of us ends up on it. It is amazing the difference now. On the Purple, we don't wake up with back pain which we do pretty much every time on the other one. We also love how it's not a huge mattress. The old one was just so thick. Purple mattresses are quite heavy though. I'm pregnant now and the Purple mattress has been comfortable so far even pregnant. We will see if I feel the same as I move into the last trimester.

If I had anything negative to say about my Purple mattress, it would be that it could be a touch softer. All in all, it was a very good purchase and we have enjoyed sleeping on it from night one. The special material inside the mattress does an awesome job dissipating heat, which has really helped me sleep more comfortably throughout the night.

Gotcha here. If you are on the edge of buying or not, ask yourself.... Are you worth it? I spent 3 years deciding. And I wish I had bought it years ago. It cradles your body like a cloud, but not too soft. I have chronic back issues from a decade on the ambulance. And I don't wake up in pain anymore. I know it's expensive, but you spend a very large chunk of your life sleeping and or in bed. Investing in an awesome mattress is worth it.

I am happy with my purchase overall but expected a bit more of it, I suppose. It's comfortable but I found it to be a little harder than I would've liked so I bought a pillow top mattress topper which has helped out a bit. I was expecting it to change my life and I guess I feel a bit underwhelmed. Overall, not unhappy with my purchase but also am not thrilled about it. The sheet set is really nice - very soft!

We've been sleeping on this mattress for about a month now. It's ok. My husband likes it because it's firmer than our last mattress. I prefer softer mattresses but this isn't too firm for me, it's ok. My main issues is how hot I get sleeping in it. I feel like it retains a lot of heat. And also, it's only been a month and I already feel like it's got "dips" in it where we sleep.

It's been two months and I have woken up every morning with body pain and lack of sleep. So disappointed I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately it's not for me. I kept reading reviews that it might take a little while to get use to, and I've tried as long as I can. I guess it doesn't work for everyone.

Seriously, my husband and I love this bed! We look forward to going to sleep every night! We both fall asleep so quickly, sometimes we fall asleep before shutting the light off! HA! I don't wake up sore or stiff and my arms don't fall asleep anymore. I don't think I've experienced a position that wasn't uncomfortable. We both feel more rested now and its amazing! Thanks for being science ninjas!!

We've had our Purple for a couple of months and overall we are glad we purchased it. The bed is supportive and I have noticed a decrease in my back pain. The only qualm I have might not be an issue for most but I like to sleep on the warmer side. I use heavy blankets throughout the year but the Purple doesn't get warm enough for my liking in the winter. My husband likes this feature and I've adapted but wearing heavy pajamas to bed.

I am primarily a side sleeper. I've been suffering from back/rib pain for years, sometimes so bad that it would wake me up in the morning and I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. I tried different memory foam mattresses, putting pillows under my side, etc, and nothing worked. I finally couldn't take it anymore and decided to try the purple, and now my pain is gone! I was somewhat skeptical when ordering but it really works. My boyfriend is a back sleeper and also wakes up with frequent back pain. Now he loves coming over to sleep on the purple because it helps alleviate his pain as well. The service was great. Wonderful experience overall.
