...and my back feels better than it ever has since I've started sleeping on the mattress. That said... the first day with it was hard. Both difficult and stiff. I tend to reposition frequently when I sleep, switching from left side to back to right, then almost on my stomach. Unfortunately, because the purple grid is designed to conform to the body, every time I would move it would push back against me. I was previously sleeping on two mattresses; a futon on top of a pillowtop. I put the futon on top of my Purple the second night and it made a huge difference. The purple still contoured to my body, but instead of me fighting the grid the futon did it for me. If Purple is looking to innovate on their design further, I recommend making the grid a middle layer, with something above it to reduce that 'mattress battle' sensation. All that said, the good far outweighs the bad. If you're considering a Purple, go for it.

I love my new mattress, not the twin I bought on line but I love the mattress I bought from the store. I had a temperpedic for years and woke up every morning with a backache every morning. Now I wake up pain free, I'm so thankful for purple mattress.

I'm still a little on the fence about this mattress. Our previous one was just a traditional coil type with a pretty soft memory foam top so this is definitely a change. My husband and I have both been sleeping well but it IS different. Can't really snuggle into a warm spot with the purple...and as soon as you turn over the warm spot is gone! As I'm usually a pretty hot sleeper this isn't a bad thing..although on the weekends if I'm being lazy and laying in bed later, it's a little sad..maybe I'll feel differently if we throw a thick down comforter on top! I think probably the best part about this bed is that it would satisfy most people's desires for a soft OR firm bed...it's both...which is kind of strange. Gotta try it to understand it!

I give Purple 5 stars! We've only had it one night so far. But when it arrived we put it on the floor for the time being because the frame won't arrive till Monday. We went ahead and made it & decided to lay on it to see how it felt. We were both instantly asleep . We woke up after a couple of hours feeling great. Then even after sleeping 9 hours last night I woke up feeling completely ready for the day.

Slept on it for a month , has a good balance between firm and soft. Girlfriend was not a fan so I decided to return. 4 stars because I had to go out of my way to return the mattress and it took over a month. But, I didn't get a full refund and was overall satisfied with the process.

I bought this mattress after Quirky and Geno Purple explained the benefits of the purple mattress, using Joe Dunder as a case study (sometimes they just call him Dunder, or JoJo). I made the switch from Casper and the Purple Mattress is truly the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. The perfect combination of depth and resistance; cloud-like suppleness with the right amount of firmness. It has truly eliminated all nightmares except for kidnapping and drowning. Time to put on my Skware and say "no no" to those "Sunday Scare-no-nos." Thanks Purple Boys!

I used to have back pain like no other and would have a heck of a time falling asleep. Was worried as I had to buy this mattress without checking it out, but honestly I have not looked back once. I sleep through the entire night and wake up feeling great!

I definitely enjoy the Purple products that I've purchased. Two of the boxes were in really bad shape when I received my order but the inner packaging was so well done that my products were in great shape. My mattress doesn't have the breathability that I had hoped for but I still REALLY enjoy my mattress, pillow, and am in love with my sheets! Thank you Purple for creating such great products!

What's amazing is that it cradles all your heavy joints and keeps your spine aligned. The only issue is that it kept me in one position for so long and I almost felt sore because of it. I need a little movement and variety besides sleeping on my back. This bed is not for varied & side sleepers.

We got a queen size purple bed 5 years ago. It was the best bed decision we ever made... until we upgraded to the king sized purple (basic, no springs) and the harmony pillows. My husband has severe back problems and I have arthritis in my neck. With purple we wake up *most* mornings without pain. 10 out of 10 would and do recommend.
