OMG! I just turned 54 and had cervical spine surgery 9 years ago. Also have Fibro, lower back problems etc. The fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea" was written for ME. In all my life I had ONE perfect mattress that isn't made anymore. Have gotten by with a not-so-cool gel 4 inch memory foam toppers for years. Not anymore! Nirvana arrived wrapped in purple! Yes, it is HEAVY. It will likely require 2 people to carry up stairs or through a house to place on the bedframe. My 20 year old 5'1" daughter is stronger than many men so got it up a flight of stairs and ready for sleep on her own before I got home from work. She hadn't moved OFF the mattress in hours. I kicked her off and napped for an hour and immediately knew it was a yes! One night and YES! Now its YES YES YES! Unlike 100% foam, I can sit on the side to put on shoes and socks and, it has some bounce so will also be good for ..um...sex! I have a full spinal orthopedic arrangement of memory foam support wedges and pillows not needed anymore. I want the purple pillow now! Before PURPLE, most days I was OK but still sweaty at night (gel memory foam topper plus menopause OMG). Not anymore! No need for a topper! No need for 3000 extra positioning pillows. No sweating! Helllooo Purple!!! I had been researching Tempurpedic which I cannot afford and STILL worried about overheating when I saw Purple Ads and then ads for every other memory foam online mattress. Read about PURPLE,,saw videos comparing few different online mattresses,, KNEW I did NOT want foam on top and BAZINGA! Purple! Some reviews said this mattress tends toward Firm or Medium Firm and might feel too firm for smaller people. I disagree! It feels more supportive yet more plushy than my Beautyrest Luxury Plush (which needed to "break in and then a 4 inch gel memory foam topper to not kill me). I am 5'2" and very heavy. My daughter is 5'1" and perfect weight. Both of us love it. She will now get my BeautyRest with the topper which she always loved. PURPLE costs a bit more than some cheap memory foam mattresses that claim not to heat up (womem tell me they still sweat in them) and costs much LESS than high end mattresses. If it holds up over time,as I expect it will, I am never going back. Time to order the cover, sheets and pillow! PS. I am a Health Psychologist working with Chronic Pain patients. I always recommend adjustable frames and all those memory foam wedges, body pillows, etc. Now PURPLE will now be on the list and normally I do not suggest BRANDS.

i purchased the 999.00 special, but unfortunately found it was to soft for me in particular. To my surprise the company took care of my concerns. I didn't have to mail the mattress back, thank goodness. They were very nice and did everything and more that was promised. I'm just sad the product wouldn't suit me. Great product, great company.

The level of support and comfort blew my expectations out of the water.. and I had high hopes for what this mattress could do. I've had chronic back troubles for over a decade. One month of sleeping on this mattress and so far I've had no back pain at all. I can confidently say this is more supportive and comfortable when I'm face down or on my back. But it is still far beyond the many other mattresses that I have tried for my preferred side sleeping.

FINALLY!! A mattress that my husband loves! He likes his mattresses on the firm side - think sleeping on a cinder block. Me, not so much. I like mine a bit on the softer side. The first few nights were rough as there is an adjustment period, but now we both sleep a lot deeper and wake up feeling a lot better. We have gone through a few mattresses due to my husband, but we finally found a winner!!

We have had a Purple mattress from the beginning of the company. Our first model "hammocked" on one side of the bed. Once I contacted the company Purple told them our situation. They responded to us immediately had me send them some pictures and within a week they replaced our mattress with the newest model, absolutely free! Our new mattress is the best and I have been more rested than ever with our Purple. I highly recommend giving them a try. They offer a great time trial so you will know whether or not Purple is for you.

For years I have had back pain every morning, but with no idea why since the traditional mattress I've had for the past 15 years has did not cause problems at first. Finally I decided to try changing mattresses and the first night of my Purple I awoke with no back pain. The next night, the same happened, and it's been a couple months now of the same. The change is so significant that every morning I am still surprised, and relieved, at the difference. The softness of the Purple mattress top is nice; I used to think I liked a more firm mattress, but while that may have been a while ago the softer top of this one is converting me too; it's not way too squishy like some mattresses, but it's a nice middle ground between firm and so soft you get lost, which is just perfect for another purpose of the mattress.

Just kidding, I already have a great marriage! But the Purple bed sure has made it a lot of fun, *cough cough* no seriously, F.U.N. Okay for real; anticipating a night's sleep without pain, sheets that stretch and are very comfy, the glee of unpacking it all, a totally awesome platform that has TONS of storage space underneath it, and frankly, doesn't squeak each time I get out of bed. I'm eight months pregnant and I get up A LOT at night... A LOT. My sweet hubby no longer wakes-up or stirs every time I get up (you don't feel your sleeping partner tossing and turning (that would be me), that feature is so nice and a huge blessing.) We went with the Cali King and I sleep with a ridiculous amount of pillows - six feather pillows (I'd sleep with more if I could) - I wonder if I'm part bird because I have to build a nest each night to fall asleep.... Maybe counseling is necessary... Hummm, anyway.... Sleeping is my favorite past-time, always has been (no seriously, IT.IS.MY.FAVORITE.) and the Purple has only made it that much more enjoyable. Even though this-adorable-little-blood-sucking- parasite-in-my-belly-that-will-soon-be-a-perfect-bouncing-baby-boy has made sleep a little more challenging, I no longer have a sore hip or achy shoulders. I have been in love since the first night. My hubby has back issues and it has taken him a little longer to find relief from his back pain, but it is getting much better and he sleeps much sounder. (Again, he doesn't feel me getting up every hour.) We are very happy with our Purple purchase, we went with the Platform, Mattress, Sheets, and Mattress protector. As far as sleeping cool... I'm always hot so I was super excited about this feature. However, I'm not much cooler in a Purple (probably because I'm eight months prego, and we are using the mattress protector, and before marriage I slept with the window open and ceiling fan on high in the dead of winter). Hubby however, is very cool and needs an extra blanket. I did need to purchase an extra-long bed skirt, I went with 16 inches, it's one inch off the ground and that's the perfect length for the height of the platform. My little Jack Russel dog likes to hang out under the bed now, there's so much room! (I'm pretty sure the dog sleeps on the bed ALL.DAY.LONG while I'm at work. We should get a review from her!) My only complaint is that I wish the adjustable platform would have been available when we purchased a little over six weeks ago. We would have totally gone with that had we known.... My other whoa, my step-children like to hang out on it a little too much... sigh, it's the BEST! (No for real kids, go watch Studio C, it's my turn!) My next purchase from Purple will be a crib mattress It's not available yet, but I sure hope it comes around soon, (PLEASE PURPLE) little blood sucker will be joining the land of the living in just a few weeks and I want him (AND I) to sleep through the night and get the full benefits of the Purple products. So far, so good. After one month, I am happy with the mattress. When I toss around at night, the motion does not transfer to my wife's side of the bed. I had read that the original mattress might not be as suitable for people over 230 lbs. However, I am 6'2", 245 and the mattress provides firm support. The only thing I haven't been able to validate yet is the cooler sleeping in hot weather.

On our first night in this bed, I slept through the night without tossing and turning for the first time in months. A month into owning the bed, and I can't imagine life without it. I still look forward to going home to lay in bed. The only way it could get better is if all my furniture was this comfortable!

We have a king Purple mattress that we purchased 4 years ago. Love it! Our daughter has developed back pain that she now see a Chiropractor for relief. We just purchased her a Queen Purple mattress, we see improvements were done. She loves it, and so does her back.
