My boyfriend purchased this mattress to appease my relentless complaining of his 4 times hand me down, 25+ yr old beauty rest... soooo... it was better than that I guess HAHA. BUT I had spent the 4 yrs previous on a very nice temperpedic and lets just say there is NO comparison. With mattresses you get what you pay for. Probably would not purchase again.

There are a lot of things I love about this mattress. Number one being that this is the only mattress that I can sleep on and. It get night sweats. It's pretty awesome to be able to use a snuggly comforter at night. That being said, the grid takes getting used to. It feels sort of sterile because it doesn't have any sort of pillow topper over the grid itself so you can feel the grid. A nice snuggly blanket helps you get that hugged sort of feeling you want in your bed. It is comfortable, and doesn't seem to need a special pillow.my husbands side of the bed seems to be getting a dent where he sleeps... he weighs less than 200lbs so that is a little concerning since we have only been sleeping on it for about 2 weeks.

Being a side sleeper, I have started to experience pain in my hips when I am asleep. Seeing advertisements that the purple was sleeping on a cloud, I had high hopes that this mattress would be the answer. Sadly, it wasn't. The mattress is a bit firmer than I anticipated and now I can add back pain to the list of discomfort. I will be returning this. On a positive note, the sheets are AMAZING!! Additionally, the customer service is TOP NOTCH!!

This is probably one slept on. And I'm not just saying that just because of the publicity and the well-made advertisement. I am actually saying this with conviction. This is hands down one of the best mattresses the I've ever slept on especially me being a person who has chronic back pain. I find any position easy to sleep in.

Once I go to bed. I turn into a beautiful gargoyle. Frozen in slumber. Once the sun arises. I do not hit the snooze; for it does me nothing. I am not stone anymore. Thank you purple; for a great nights sleep and a changed life. Also the dogs won't get off my bed. Too comfortable. ^_^

Awesome marketing! The Twin XL mattress is great compared to the mattress I had prior to it but it hasn't quite won me over for the long haul. I've now had it for about 7-8 months and it has already started to become uncomfortable. I have very few nights that I sleep uninterrupted until morning; which is different than my normal. I'll continue using it for now but, unfortunately, I have yet to find my forever mattress.

I just got my Purple 3. There are so many mattress companies out there now. Which one do you choose?? I literally was doing research since early Summer. My old mattress was about 12 ys old and the Kingsdown and the body dent that developed had me rolling literally uphill every time I tried to move.. I'm a side sleeper, and change sides throughout the night. I'm also a bigger guy, about 275lbs. The first few nights on the new Purple I knew my bod was going to half to re-learn some things. I'm a week and half in and I can say, what a difference. It sleeps so cool compared to my old mattress, I'm looking for another blanket to put on the top of the bed at night. The mattress is no responsive as you move or roll. Off gassing, was minor but its not bad either.. The set up and the taking away of my old mattress to be properly disposed of was the clincher for me compared to the other mattresses I was looking at. Edge support is much better than I thought it would be too. After only two weeks, I couldn't be happier.

I'm a bad sleeper. This mattress (and the pillow) are just wonderful. I'm small and memory foam doesn't work for me - it takes forever to adjust. I also like a firm mattress. This does the trick! It's like being held up by lots of comforting hands except not creepy, because that sounds creepy. Just buy it.

The purple has been a terrific mattress. My previous mattress was an expensive custom piece from European Sleepwoorks, which I loved, but had become worn out. I live across the country from Berkeley these days, so another ESW mattress wasn't really an option. The purple has been an ideal replacement. It reminds me quite a lot of the things I loved about my previous mattress. The isolation is great, the way it handles heat... it's just a great mattress.

I have 4 discs in my lower back that were damaged from a fall when I was young, I have avoided surgery at all costs. But with avoiding surgery I have paid the price with a lot of pain. Sleeping has always been a hit and miss, I would wake up every 1 to 2 hours to re-adjust to eliminate some of the pain, mind you this has been going on for about 40 years. Needless to say I was always exhausted but my mind and body just had to adjust to the lack of sleep. I needed a new bed because the one I had was causing me to have way more pain than I was willing to deal with. So several months of researching I decided on the Purple mattress, not really convinced that it was going to be any better (at least I have a daughter to give it to if it didn't work out). Once the base and frame arrived my daughter and I set it up. I got to say it was heavier than I thought is was going to be. The first night I slept on it, I seriously did not wake up once through the night and I slept so hard that I was very groggy most of the morning. After 4 weeks of actually sleeping through the night I wake up rested and no major back pain. This is the best investment I have made in a very long time. Thank you so much, Wendi
