It took my back and sides a little while to get used to but now I fall right to sleep. It gives my back the support it needs so I do too wake up feeling stiff. The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to buy there sheets and there mattress cover to get the full effect of the mattress. I bought a mattress cover that wasn't there brand and I can tell a difference from when I lay on the bed without the cover and with the cover. I would love to buy there mattress cover but it's a little out of my budget right now. If Purple would like to send me a mattress cover and pillows I would love to do another review for them.

The first night I slept on my new purple, I got a great night's sleep. That may sound ho-hum, but considering how often I woke up before then? It was a revelation: not to be in pain. Wow. I've zz'd on foam and innersprings and air and the occasional sofa. Purple wins, no contest. The dog is a big fan, too. I am a VERY happy sleeper.

I'm in my 40's and I have had a hip replacement. My husband purchased this bed hoping it would be more comfortable for me than our pillowtop mattress. I'm happy we kept our old one. This is the hardest bed I've ever slept in! I've been sleeping on the couch since we got it. Which btw the shipping took 3 weeks! When it should've been 3-5 days! I will be asking for a refund today. Please come collect your mattress.

I'm disappointed I don't sleep better. I was really hoping this mattress would be the answer to helping me be more comfortable at night so I can sleep better. Even with an adjustable power base I still can't find a comfortable sleeping position with my back pain and sometimes neck.

I have degenerative disk disease and went through three mattresses before landing on the Purple. This mattress is the only one that has given me relief- and complete relief! It did take about a month for my body to adjust to it, so do be patient! My husband loves it too. We immediately noticed deeper sleep from night one. I now dread ever having to spend a night away from our purple. Love, love everything about this mattress!

We have had for a few weeks and we aren't sure whether we will be keeping. It doesn't seem to solve any of of morning aches and doesn't provide a good night sleep. We went and stayed at a hotel and even at our kids and they are all seem to be the same. Our purple mattress seems to have softer spots and firmer sits, the bottom half seems softer for example, both when you lay or sit on it. The top half is firmer. We want to see though if we will adjust over time.

This mattress is just lovely. Solid, yet soft. But the greatest thing about it is how good it works when I'm sleeping. I apparently get such a better night's rest on this mattress that I wake up much earlier and easier than I have ever before. And I'm not tired either! So it's definitely a restful sleep that keeps you comfortable through the night so you feel refreshed in the morning.

In the middle of September I bought a pretty pricey memory foam mattress and pillow from one of those chain mattress places. The sales person told me that the first week sleeping with these two new, very expensive things, was going to be rough. There would also be a distinct smell. Umm. Ok. The first morning waking up I was cursing this salesperson. I thought, ok.. it's been one night. 6 weeks later I was still very unhappy with it. I was in pain every morning, I'd wake up drenched in sweat (how is it so hot?!!) with a stiff neck. So at 2 am one morning, after not being able to sleep-again.. I was researching mattresses. I came across several online mattress companies. (But how would they ship me a BED?) Purple definitely stood out though. It was everything I was looking for! Relieves pressure points? Yep. Temperature controlled? Check. Movement absorbing? Yes, please. Hypoallergenic and no weird memory foam chemical smell? Yep! I ordered it, even though I was still unsure how Fedex was going to ship me a mattress. This was the answer I was looking for, I thought. 3 short days later I was unrolling my brand new mattress and pillow with glee. It was the easiest, transaction, shipment and set up. I set mine up on box springs with a plywood base on top and it works perfectly. They are both HEAVY, but I like it. I feel supported. I wake up with no pain and I'm not hot and sweaty anymore. It was literally the best impulse purchase ever. I tell everyone about it. I LOVE MY PURPLE.

I like this cushion alot it helps to sit on something with support but is still soft enough for comfort. The only thing that i was surprised about is the cushion gets thicker to thinner from back to front. This is fine when using it as a single layer cushion but when doubling it up for a thicker support you tend to sit on an angle since one side is thinner. Other then that this cushion is great.

I have consistently been able to sleep at least an extra hour per night on the weekends due to the increased comfort of the Purple mattress. The firmness of the mattress did begin to decrease after about three months but it was as good as new after turning it.
