I've had at least three foam-type mattresses of varying prices and brands over the last 15-20 years. I'm a 6'1", 190lbs active person who gets sore from day-to-day activities and loves a good nights rest. Once my last two mattresses would cause me to toss and turn almost every 2 hours or so and my rest was very poor, I needed to try something else. I put Purple, Casper, and Nectar on my list to test. Purple had the best return/trial period so I figured I'd try Purple first. I'm about 20 days in and the sleep has been very restful. I don't toss and turn because of hot spots or soreness from laying too long in one spot. I'm going to keep an eye on my restfulness for the first 90 days and see how I feel!

It has been over 30 days and neither me or my wife have been able to sleep comfortably on these mattresses. Her back hurts every morning. My shoulders, arms and hands all fall asleep. I can easily feel the square spaces on the mattress. I have yet to get a good night sleep, but have kept resisting returning them as I had faith we would like them sooner or later. I have gotten the best sheets they suggested etc. Unfortunately for us these are going to be returned if they won't adjust to our bodies. I will update more near the end of Feb if I can suffer the sleep deprivation that long!

Love the mattress and the base. The base is super sturdy, doesn't move or squeal at all. The mattress definitely does have an adjustment period. We've been on it for about 2 weeks now and I'm finding myself sleeping better and better every night. Even my 2 year old tries to sneak in at nap tiime and bed time to sleep on our bed. Super happy with our purchase!

Our first experience with Purple was after my husband and I bought our king size Purple mattress. Coming from a worn out pillow top mattress, the Purple mattress was a big difference. I did struggle to sleep good the first few nights as my body adjusted. I'll tell you though -- I don't have the hip and back issues I had before our Purple purchase! I love our mattress and I HATE going out of town because I can't take it with me. Ha! (Purple, please somehow come up with a travel mattress topper!!!) We love Purple products so much that both of our children have a twin Purple mattress in their bedrooms! Proper and excellent quality of support for their little growing bodies is of utmost importance to us. I use their top of the line seat cushion in my vehicle, as I was using an orthopedic seat cushion before due to a tail bone injury in my past. My hips would be aching terribly after only 10 minutes in the vehicle before my Purple cushion. Now, my hips don't ache while I'm in the vehicle. I love it! Excitedly, I now own the Harmony pillow. I'm only on night #2 with it but I am loving how it feels! Thank you, Purple, for such amazing products and excellent customer service!!! Oh, we also own the mattress protectors for all our mattresses! They are a must because why wouldn't you want to protect your investment?!?! And we have the soft stretchy sheets. I'm telling you -- we LOVE Purple!! Do yourself the favor and invest in your body and health -- that's what you are doing when you take the step and purchase a Purple mattress!

I am a retired RN and have lifted and turned so may people over the years resulting in chronic low back problems.My back pain has greatly been reduced since sleeping on this mattress. It gives great support without the pressure on my shoulders. I highly recommend Purple!

My husband and I have had back pain for the last 2-3 years. We thought it was from our kids sneaking into bed and forcing us to contort our bodies mid-sleep-cycle. Nope! It turns out, it was our terrible mattress. We love our new purple mattress! No matter how many minions decide to sneak in and torment us, we can walk in the morning. Thanks, Purple!

Of all the mattresses I've owned in my life, this is easily my favorite. My issue with normal smartfoam mattresses is that over time, foam creates little ruts where you lay and it becomes very uncomfortable. My purple mattress does no such thing, and shows no sign of ever doing so. My one and only complaint is that I wish the gel grid on the top layer were ever so slightly taller with just a liiiittle more give. It's just a tad firmer than my preference.

I have spent thousands of $$$$$$$ On Other brand name mattresses from the expensive air mattresses to the memory foam matressses to the pillow toppers and Purple is the first mattress I can get a good nights sleep on. I use to sleep hot until I got a Purple, I use to wake up in pain but then I got a Purple. See I sleep on my side and have had several shoulder surgeries so it was important to get a comfortable mattress. Well hats off to you Purple! I recommend Purple Matressses to everyone I know. And if you were wondering I have th 'OG' Purple.

This bed is SOOO marvelous, I really don't want to do anything but stay in bed! I researched and researched and researched before buying our mattress, finally landing on the Purple. All the reviews looked good and the theory behind the design made sense...not to mention that the Raw Egg commercial was witty and intriguing. I also liked that I could return the mattress if there were any problems. However, there are NO problems! In fact, neither my husband or myself hurt when we get up. We no longer need 10 pillows in the bed to position ourselves. We sleep solid through the night with no tossing and turning (if he's tossing and turning, I don't feel it because of the design of the mattress). After only having the bed for a week, we had to go out of town for Thanksgiving. We slept on a not-Purple mattress for several days whiel out of town. Even though we only had the Purple mattress for a week before leaving, my husband couldn't wait to get back home to the Purple Mattress! We now invite our friends over and say "go lay on our mattress"!

We have had our Purple mattress for a couple of months now. My husband, who is a back sleeper, loves the mattress and says he no longer has leg and back pain upon waking. I am a side sleeper and my arms are often asleep when I wake up. I also still have hip pain at times when waking. These were not problems with out old mattress. On the plus side, my back feels much better. We are keeping the mattress because my husband is comfortable. I hope I will eventually sleep comfortably.
