It took me 30 days, not the recommended 21, to break in this mattress and fall in love with it (I am tall and thin, so fewer pounds per square inch, and it felt too firm the whole first month). Give it time. I ended up purchasing the softest mattress I could find in a store to replace my original Purple mattress, but I was glad that the Purple one wasn't picked up yet since I didn't realize how wonderful it was until I had a chance to compare. Now I don't think I'll ever be able to sleep on anything other than a Purple mattress! It is true that all pressure points are eliminated on this mattress, even your toes!

I had a "thick" (18 in) foam mattress. Loved it. Except, when it got heated up just by my sleeping on it. Then, it mostly felt like I was sleeping in a spoon.... with a Bic lighter turned on under it. The foam was just plain hot and like a sink hole. On average, I'd say I was waking up every 3 - 4 hours because of the "confined" feeling and the heat. The purple mattress ..... it's pretty dang sweet. First, There is NO sinking feeling. Second, it 'feels' like something between an ocean wave and an old "box spring" from the 1950's (minus the creaky springs and the unevenness of the springs but it has (what feels like) the 'suggestion' of a spring bed). Third, it is not hot. Fourth, the "sinking feeling" is just gone and this is like floating on the ocean foam that you see right at the beach where the waves dump it. It is 'light' and you have the solid cushiony feeling of the water underneath to support you - except there is no water. Basically, I do not wake up. I am not experiencing that 'sauna' feeling (which is okay ... when you are in a sauna ... but, not okay when you are in bed ... trying to sleep). This is a pretty sweet mattress. I suspect I am going to be a pretty happy camper for quite some time.

I tried out the purple mattress for a few weeks and loved it but sadly my girlfriend didn't. First I was very skeptical. I had a bed that was old and ran thru. After some recommendations, I decided to buy this mattress and it was amazing. If you sleep with someone else, you really won't feel if they move or get up from bed. It kinda molds to your body and it's very comfortable.

Shipment arrived, was a problem that was resolved without any difficulty and to everyone's satisfaction. I chose a firmer mattress since I sleep on my stomach. So far so good. Mattress is comfortable and no complaints. I also purchased the mattress protector which feels fine. Undecided about the sheets/pillowcase fabric. I'm no princess & the pea but I'll give them a shot. So I was diagnosed with scoliosis as a young child. I have spent more than two thirds of my life living with treatment, physical therapy, alternative therapies, trying gimics and endless amounts prescription pain meds. As an adult I have been diagnosed with degenerative arthritis, severe spondylitis and sciatica issues. I have spent about a month sleeping on the purple mattress and pillow. It seems to work fine. I have noticed a reduction is soreness and the number of times I am awake during the night. All in all I like the mattress, but maybe not quite the revelation that I was hoping for.

I was super exited to receive my purple queen sized matresss about 2.5 months ago. They said it would take a couple weeks to adjust and now I'm going on 90 days and i still sleep like I did on my old off brand mattress. It's also starting to form an indentation to my body just after 90 days! How!? I'm 170 lbs.

Overall, I think it is a wonderful mattress. It definitely only works if you have the proper sheets. I pretty much wake with no back pain now. I do still get some neck pain but that may be that I haven't figured out the best way to sleep on a pillow. It's very squishy and I still love running my hand across it and feeling the texture of the soft grid beneath my fingers. X) It's the small things.
