First of all a Purple truck with Purple helpers, as shown on TV, does not happen. A Fedex guy drops it at your door. Fortunately I was at home at the time and he maneuvered it into my home. It is a full size and over 80 lbs. Even the burly Fedex guy was panting. I would not have been able to do anything with the mattress by myself. I am bo longer a young woman but still in pretty good shape. My son came over and helped me to get it unrolled onto the bed platform. My sleep ever since is wonderful. I would have given 5 stars if it was a much easier delivery with a purple truck and purple helpers.

This is the first mattress I have ever had that, as a side sleeper, is soft enough to cradle my shoulder and hip while still providing firm support for my back. It is also comfortable while sitting in bed to read. I bought a twin xl original mattress which I was able to unpack and set up by myself despite being a small 73 year old woman. I would have needed help for a larger mattress. There was a slight odor that dissipated within a few hours. The stretchy sheets I bought have a nice feel and wash well but take a long time to dry. The customer support people responded quickly to my questions about setup.

We like the purple bed! I have a REALLY bad back and was hoping purple would help. In one sense it's helped tremendously: I can sleep 100% better. I was hoping my waking time would improve also but it hasn't, at least not yet. But I am still super pleased with the bed and would recommend it. Sleeping better is a huge improvement. I used to sometimes get up in the middle of the night even though I was tired because I was in so much pain. Have only done that one time since getting the Purple and have had many good night's sleep even without pain meds.

Honestly maybe I went into getting the mattress with too big expectations. My old mattress was in pretty bad shape and very old and I could never get comfortable sleeping on it so I was expecting big things getting a new mattress. I am a side sleeper and some of my definite sore points are my shoulder and hips. I have had the mattress for a couple of weeks now and it is not horrible, but I definitely still toss and turn during the night trying to get comfortable. This is what I was trying to improve. I do understand it can take some adjusting to get used to a new mattress so I am still hopeful it will get better with time. We will see.

Recently purchased the purple mattress, purple platform, and purple mattress protector. Love the platform and Mattress. Dislike the Mattress protector. It's got a very vinyl plastic feel to it, and feels very cheap. After putting it on the mattress, it introduced noise, and it covered up the wonderful stitched cover softness with a plastic sliding feel. (Using sheetx as main sheets above it). I was really surprised at the quality of it, considering how nice the platform and mattress were. It was as if a totally different company designed it. I contacted purple for a refund, as was told there are NO refunds on the mattress protector. (I'd have even accepted credit or exchange. Nothing). Hopefully this review helps someone else avoid making the same mistake I did. Go for the mattress and platform, skip the protector. (Get a Malouf instead [which purple previously recommended] which you can return if you don't like. ) Never went from a happy customer to a disappointed one so quickly!

Well to start it off the customer service is absolutely amazing they treat you so well when something is wrong our new bed is absolutely amazing I used to toss and turn and wake up in the middle of the night and with this new purple bed I don't I would recommend it to anybody especially if somebody has back pain way to go purple you made my life much easier when I try to sleep thank you very much

So we bought a Purple mattress about 2.5 years ago and it was great for the first 2 years and I noticed a little sag in it while sleeping which was causing back pain. I called CS and they sent me an email with instructions on how to get it replaced under warranty. I followed the 5 easy steps and 1 week later my new replacement mattress showed up on my front porch. No haggling, no questions, they just stood behind their warranty and replaced my mattress for free! Had the best night sleep I have had in a while last night! Thanks Purple Mattress!!!

I'm a side sleeper and my shoulder would always hurt in the morning. After about a week, I no longer feel sore in the mornings. My back does not hurt when I get up. Totally worth it! Wish I had bought it earlier. Only negative is that sheets did pull aften the first week. They did send me another pair. We'll see what happens with the 2nd set.....and I do wish the bed was higher. It's at least 4 inches lower that my old pillow top mattress. I'm getting used to it but I plan to put some bed risers under the frame.

I am not going to buy purple products again. I got the mattress which was advertised as being long lasting but after a few months it has obviously gotten worn in. It started to feel like crinkled plastic after less than 3 months and I thought about returning it but got lazy about it. We also got the purple mattress cover but the first time the baby wet the bed it went right through the cover. Mattress cover useless. The bed stand commercial shows sumo wrestlers fighting on the platform, but when mine showed up the holes were drilled in the wrong places by about a 1/4" which made it extremely hard to put together and 6 months later the metal bangs from warping and being pushed around by my weight. I spent a lot on this bed and all the great features advertised were hype and lies.

Omg! I suffer from back pain, knee pain and Trigeminal Neuralgia just to name a few, which get worse at night. And my husband suffers from back pain as well. Well who knew it was mostly our bed!? We switched to the purple mattress and what a difference it has made. While first it took adjustment time to get used to, and a chiropractic visit, the pain has lessened so much. On top of that I sink into beds hard, as I'm no small girl, but with the purple mattress I feel like I'm floating on air. My old mattress has now been banished to the spare room to torture my poor guests and is exhibit A in convincing them they need a purple mattress like mine! Yes I let the spend some quality time on Exhibit Beach aka The Purple.
