I bought a Purple Mattress due to the severe pain I was feeling in my center back from sleeping on my old memory foam mattress. It was 8 years old and I was desperately ready for a new bed. From the first night, I was relieved at not waking up in pain.

This bed is the best!! I didn't expect it to feel the way it does at all. Squishy yet firm. We make everyone lay on our bed that Comes to visit to see how it feels. You can feel the grid of the purple but I've never found it bothersome or to interfere with my comfort. I've never had a better nights sleep than what I have with this mattress. -the sheets they sell to go along with the bed are so soft and stretchy. I recommend buying them with the mattress

My husband and I bought the purple mattress and the platform base. After about 5 months my husband was complaining of back pain and did not want to sleep on the mattress. We then discovered that it was the platform base waffle design. We built our own platform bed and Wow what a difference . Sad cause people might think pain is from the mattress. Terrible design for the platform. I think the platform needs to go. I do not recomend that at all. The waffle base is awful. The mattress is fantastic though. I think this platform design might hurt sales of the matress cause people wont know that the platform base is really the issue here.

I have had chronic back pain for years, and have bought mattress after mattress hoping for relief. I surround myself with pillows restricting movement and supporting various "parts", side-sleeping in a semi-fetal position with a pillow in between my knees... aaarrrggghhh... When I first saw purple, I was convinced that it was the mattress for me! I waited over a year and finally got one. After the first night- I was in more pain than I had been in a long time. ((And that's saying something)) but, hey- maybe I'm just adjusting to the new mattress. Second night? No sleep at all. I had put a pillow between my ribcage and hip bone, to help align my spine. Around 1:30, I woke up feeling bruised and hurt. I then tried to sleep on my back ((hey, maybe I should be sleeping on my back on the purple...)), at 3:00 I woke up again in excruciating pain! By 4:30, I was curled up in a ball, trying to sleep on my knees. I gave up. I give up. Apparently, the purple isn't for men under 200 lbs (182). I feel like I've slept on a couch for a week. Our local goodwill won't take beds, and the nearest non-profit that might is 5 towns over. We live in rural Wisconsin, and I am not sure how to make this issue work. Please help! ((And men/women- if you're under 180, and can't sleep on anything "soft" without pain- this mattress won't work for you either, I would bet.)) Great idea. Great science. Bad news for me.

My wife and I opened this up and the kids put it together for us. My wife said it feels like the other bed. About a week later I noticed she sleeps all night now compared to waking up early. She loves it. I am a side sleeper and just had back surgery. It is a great mattress. Supportive where it needs to be and my shoulders don't go to sleep and ache in the middle of the night like the old mattress.

hi to all you that are thinking about purple for your next bed I have a back and neck injury...and I always wanted to get a tempapedic mattress but could never afford it now I am glad that I didn't because then never would have tried the purple mattress and I love it, I sleep so good! I wake up feeling great...thanks Purple...

I have had this mattress about a month now and I love every minute I'm on it.. I looked and read about many mattresses for a couple months. If I could recommend one thing to anyone reading this is don't waste anymore time looking at other mattresses. This is the one you want.

This mattress is perfect. My wife and I prefer slightly different bed firmness and have not been able to find something that worked for both of us until now. I have some lower back problems that have improved since we have gotten this mattress. Additionally, my wife was bed ridden recently due to a foot injury and she said that the mattress was always comfortable even after being on it all day in pretty much the same position. We cannot express enough how awesome our experience has been. We look forward to getting more purple products in the future as well. Thanks!

Never again will I buy another bed that isn't Purple! This bed has been so amazing and extremely comfortable. I don't wake up in pain anymore and I enjoy going to bed now. Before, I stayed up as long as I possibly could because of the amount of pain I had sleeping in a bed that didn't have Purple's science structure. Thanks Purple for this AMAZING and comfortable bed!!!

My wife and I of 17 years had a mattress that was completely wore out and began the tedious task of trying to find a good mattress within the budget we set. We (She) got caught up in the hype about a Purple one and I deferred to her judgment since she is the one that is that has chronic restless nights (I can sleep through anything). I would be lying if I said I wasn't really anticipating getting it incorporated into our lives but it was short lived. I loved the firmness but now actually wish we would have looked around more. I felt all the positive reviews were stacked on the top of the list to manufacture the hype we bought into and that I should have persevered through the reviews to find where someone may have felt the way I do now. We aren't the kind of people to complain or return things so the 100 night challenge didn't appeal to me from the beginning since we knew we would not entertain going through the hassle to return something this inconvenient. My wife has very mixed emotions too and has still yet to endorse this purchase as a good investment. I am excited to see how long it takes to wear down to where we are on the hunt again for the perfect nights sleep. I do feel the construction is top notch and should wear very well which only time will tell. The purchasing and delivery was extremely predictable and easy to track right to our door as promised. Would I do it all over again? Right now I would look elsewhere but in time I could be swayed if it outlasts all of the other mattresses we have owned. I get a better nights sleep in my recliner or on my camping cot but my beloved wife sleeps better now than she did on the mattress we retired which is worth everything to me!
