I was so excited to try the Purple mattress after reading reviews and talking with friends/family. I've slept on it for about 3 weeks now, and it's not any worse or better than the mattress I have had for the last 15 years. It's fine, but definitely wasn't worth the money.

My wife and I previously slept on a King Sealy posturepedic hybrid gel mattress. I hated this mattress pretty much from the start. We only had this mattress about 2 years and within a couple of months it developed a hump in the center where we didn't sleep. We were told from the beginning that we should occasionally lay in the center of the mattress to stop this from happening. We did this as much is possible but it's hard when there are 2 people. So we bought two Twin XL Purple mattresses with the intention of later purchasing an two Twin XL adjustable frames. My wife has had some pretty serious back surgery over the last couple of years and laying flat for her is no longer an option. With our old mattress, I tossed and turned all night long. I rarely got a good night sleep. So, I don't know how much of my experience comes from the fact that I was miserable with our previous mattress but my 1st night on the Purple mattress was absolute bliss! I slept better than I had in over 2 years. I also found that since I was sleeping so soundly, I would wake up earlier as 6 or 7 hours of deep sleep is all I really need. I waited a little while before making my review because I really wanted to test it. I've had it for a few months now and I love it! So comfortable! I sleep on my side and my shoulder doesn't hurt in the morning with the Purple mattress like it used to with my old mattress. I have trouble sleeping anywhere else but my home now. I never want to leave my Purple mattress!

I literally never write reviews, but I have been a touring professional dancer for 14 years, a personal trainer for 7, and now sit at a desk all day. I used to feel every old injury, ache and pain in my body when I woke up. But not on my Purple. I have literally never slept better consistently in my life. Pain free, restful sleep. I've had the mattress for two weeks and can't shut up about it. Waking up so rested is new, and has helped improve so much for me. Love this bed! At first I was worried it would be too soft, but then I noticed the grid displaces to fill the spaces you don't want to sink into when you're sleeping (neck, low back, and allows your shoulder to sink in for side sleepers, so you don't bear too much weight on it.) It is perfect.

This is certainly way better than my old mattress. It has a very firm feeling, which I prefer. It absorbs movement well, so you will not disturb your partner when changing position. However, I still feel a bit uncomfortable when turning onto my side. I had this issue with my old mattess; I would wake up with my shoulder feeling jammed up if I had fallen asleep on that side. It's possible that I am still experiencing stiff muscles and knots from the old one I am hoping this problem will be resolved by getting a pillow that is the right height for side sleeping. Otherwise, this is a very comfortable mattress and I am overall satisfied with my purchase. A quick note - this mattress is HEAVY, so be careful setting it up - have someone help you as Purple company suggests in the unpacking instructions. Also lift with your knees when putting on your fitted sheet, 'cos DANG.

We finally bit the bullet and got a new mattress. Purple has exceeded our expectations...it's awesome! It's soft yet supportive, quiet, and looks great. We are sleeping better with less aches and pains after just about a month. Would definitely recommend!

I get a very soar back if I lay on my back in this bed- which is unfortunate. I was really hoping for a bed that would allieviate some of that lower back pain I experience. I think the bed is cool and an interesting concept but it doesn't really work for me and my back pain.

The bed was very comfy, and much cooler to sleep on. My only concern was the white powder used to prevent the bed from sticking to itself during shipping, and that there was no way to know what the powder consisted of. I did end up returning the bed and it couldn't have been easier. Customer service was excellent and painless. And again, the bed was very comfortable. I felt bad returning it and I wouldn't have done so if I could have been assured that the white powder wouldn't be harmful being inhaled every night. Overall I would highly recommend this bed and company.

I as very apprehensive about buying this bed. I'd read plenty of good reviews both user and professional, but I was a bit afraid that the bed ultimately would be all marketing, no substance. I was entirely wrong. The bed is very comfortable. It sleeps cool. It feels great. With 100days return guarantee you have nothing to lose. I'd certainly never return mine, but it is a great feature. The only other thing to note is that you definitely want stretchy sheets for this bed. We have Purple Sheets as well as Sheex. I probably like the Purple Sheets better, but I do prefer the Sheex pillow case.

I honestly did not expect to purchase a purple mattress. I had been researching for quite some time and was fairly certain I was going to purchase a memory foam in a box. However we stopped into a local mattress store and they had purple mattresses on display and I fell in love. It took a little bit of adjustment. The first few nights I felt like my back was sore getting used to it. Now I absolutely love it and wake up with no aches and pains.
