Cal king standard size is 72 wide and 84 long. The purple Cal king I got measured 72 wide and 80 long (at the bottom). In addition, the concave shape of the mattress makes the top of the mattress smaller, measuring 70 wide and 78 wide. This resulted having a gap of almost 6 inches at the top of the bed, pillows keep falling in that gap. I have notified purple and they have sent a new mattress, the new one is better but it still is 3 inches short. How is it possible that they have sent 2 defective beds in a row I have requested a refund.

The mattress we had before was a memory foam /similar situation, it had a horrible smell after just a few years. We were informed it was because we didn't have a barriere to protect the mattress and it had become a peetree Dish of grossness. Gag. So each of our mattresses has two mattress protectors on it, to ensure that does not happen again. It has however, made them a bit stiff for now. Also, i was expecting to not get the "hot sweaty ickies" because of the design of purple mattress - but i do. Also - the pillow is heavy, difficult to manage and does not sleep well for me. I am a side sleeper - perhaps that is the problem. What I love Love Love is that I don't hear my husband snoring any more, his acid reflux has subsided a bit, and he is more rested! And, so in turn am I.

I've been sleeping on a purple bed for years, and I'm still excited to go to sleep each night. I just recently bought my second Purple bed, but NOT because the first one died! I just needed another mattress for 1 year while I'm living away from home, but this is great! Soon I'll have an extra for my guests when they come to visit! I've had rheumatoid arthritis my entire life with lots of joint and back pain. I would never be able to sleep through a night and kept tossing and turning. You know, the usual... But words cannot express how much this mattress has helped me sleep. I am a devout Purple customer. I've recommended this mattress too family and friends, and they all love it. You've heard it all before. Don't hesitate. Try the mattress. It speaks for itself.

From the moment I first laid down I felt like I was on a very supportive cloud. The bed is wonderful for those of us who toss and turn and sleep in all positions. My husband who is super picky about mattresses has said it is "ok" which is his way of saying it's awesome! He never wants to sound impressed with anything but he has also never given a mattress a positive review either, so this was a first. The sheets are great too. Soft, cool, and warm all at the same time. Believe the Purple hype!

After a month of no sleep, my husband and I decided this mattress is not for skinny people. We basically float on top of it. I feel like purple should have a disclaimer if you weigh under 180 or so it will be very firm. The Purple technology didn't work and mold to us. Not into firm beds, I would have been better off sleeping on the ground.

I heard great reviews about this mattress, but when it came in the mail I was very nervous. They sent a little mini version to feel the material and I did not like it. The bed felt weird and I thought great, I spent all this money for a mattress that is not the right fit. However, I am glad to say, I love it!!! It is so comfortable and I've had the best sleep I've had in awhile. I work nightshift, so having a comfortable bed that I can crawl into and nap before work is ideal! I definitely recommend this mattress and I am so glad I went for it and invested! Plus, I got free sheets and they are amazing!!!!! I am a very hot sleeper and these sheet are so breathable! My advice, just go for it!

I had a huge dip going on one of the sides of the Purple Mattress and after contacting the Warranty, and providing proof of the issue, they gladly provided my with a brand new replacement. I am already having issues with BOTH of the sides sagging / dipping now. My nights are becoming a nightmare as they were before with the old mattress and my wife is now pregnant... they last thing I want is for this mattress to cause more back pain on her. Please, send me a newer, non-faulty, model.

so, I've been sleeping on a hard wood floor for over a year. moved to a new place, got a new car, started working out, finally bought a new bed. first time ever! this bed is amazing! firm, not bouncy, actually sleep now which is great! haven't felt this good in so long. actually motivated when I wake, have energy and not a grouch. much better than any bed I've ever slept on for sure!!!

I've found my queen sized Purple bed to be extremely comfortable, and it has helped to ease my chronic back pain. I'm not sure what black magic I was supposed to work to get it to unroll as seen in commercials (I had to flip it over), but the un-packaging of it was simple enough. Ads. Can we talk about these purple ads I'm getting on literally every web page I go to? I doubt the algorithm responsible for this knows that I've purchased my bed already, but I don't really need to be told to buy another one for my one bedroom apartment.

Had heard good things via podcast advertising about the mattress and happy to report: it's working out well! Glad to finally upgrade from our former, more traditional spring mattress. The density is just right, the grid makes it breathable, all around excellent quality.
