That may seem like an over the top review title, but I'm one of those people who fell in love with the purple family. I started with the pillow as it was my best option to see what the material felt like and a little of its fascinating properties. As soon as the pillow arrived, I was convinced to get the mattress. Once I had the mattress, I knew I wasn't going to return it, so I invested in the mattress protector, and sheets. Next up will be the power base. The biggest thing I can say is Purple does it no one else. I did a lot of mattress shopping and nothing in the stores jumped out at me as screamingly comfortable, not even the high end ones. But just one night on purple and you see the world of difference. I read a lot of reviews about needing an adjustment period, I was lucky and had none, but I think that largely has to do with the sheets. I slept great for 3 nights with Jersey knit t-shirt sheets, then when I switched to conventional sheets, I got instant back pain. Before the mattress arrives, get a set of stretchy sheets (Purple, Sheex, Jersey Knit, etc...) because for me, that was a definable difference. I've never been happier with my bedroom, and now I spend more hours relaxing on the bed than ever before. Can't wait for the next latest and greatest from the masterminds of Purple.

I'll say first of all that I believe each person sleeps better on different types of mattresses. I don't think there's one mattress that's best for everyone. That said, Neither my wife nor I got anything close to a good night's sleep on our Purple for three straight nights, and we returned it afterwards simply because we couldn't keep going like that. We truly needed to get more sleep, and we've never experienced that in any mattress before. The Purple was much more firm than we expected, even with stretchy sheets. I don't hold it against Purple very much that we didn't sleep well on the mattress, and delivery was pretty fast, and the return process was easy and painless. The packaging is another story. Our previous mattress was a Casper, which we also returned, as it was surprisingly firm as well. I took a video of the Casper setup, and it literally took three minutes from being in the delivery packaging to being on the bed, inflated, and ready to lie down. The Purple comes in way too much plastic. It was easily 15 minutes to wrestle through all the overlapping layers of plastic wrapping, and was a much more physical process to get it out of the plastic and laid out on the foundation. The bag it ships in (which hopefully is recyclable, in spite of the big zipper) looks disturbingly like a body bag. There was definitely a smell, which disappeared after a few days. I don't mind it personally, but my wife did very much. As I said, the whole experience was pretty painless, and I applaud the way companies like Purple are cutting out the ridiculous mattress stores from the process. This one just wasn't for us.

The quality of sleep does reflect in the price range. The mattress itself is VERY cold which I originally wanted but it takes some getting used too since the cold induces nightmares and I had multiple of those for the first few nights. Not experiencing any shoulder/arm pain as a side sleeper.

I could definitely see how someone that doesn't weigh much could be uncomfortable at first, it takes awhile to break in. But it is so so so comfortable. I fall asleep way faster now and I sleep much much better. Even if I wake up in the middle of the night and fall back asleep, I still sleep well enough to not feel that tired. I love this bed. Now onto the bad. The overall experience is awful. The instructions for setting up the bed platform and the bed were both very confusing and also incorrect. It took a very long time for the bed to be shipped here, and the same thing happened when I got the sheets. However, customer service was very nice and sent me a seat cushion to make up for the time. So, my overall experience with the company has been lukewarm to positive, but their products are great.

I am one of the original owners of the ORIGINAL PURPLE mattresses. I've been sleeping comfortably for three years and looking forward to another three. Global travel with World renown Coach Handbags often returned me home exhausted. PURPLE was the magic that gave me rest that no 5 star hotel could provide. I have been struggling with a chronic back pain for years after a major car accident where I broke the car seat with my back after being struck from the back at full speed on a highway 22 years ago. I could not get a pain free night of sleep since then no matter what brand of mattress I bought. I tried them all. None of the expensive name brand mattress could grant me a comfortable and painless night of sleep. I saw the commercial video and started to dismiss it until I saw that the mattress consisted of individually supporting grid design. This caught my eyes as it made perfect logical sense. All stress point is dispersed out to the rest of the bed, but each point of stress provides separate support as well as absorption. This bed was designed by some clever people. I bought a queen size bed to try it out. I have been enjoying nothing but wonderful pain free nights of sleep ever since. It has been so long since childhood before the car accident since I last had a perfectly good night's sleep. I almost hate to get out of the bed in the morning. This is a truly remarkable product that delivered something which none of the other mattress vendors could. I quickly bought a King size version and had it delivered to my parents and took a vacation to visit them to assemble the bed for them. Now they too are enjoying the wonderful bed. If I needed additional beds in the future, I'll buy nothing but Purple from now on.

Based on Purple's representative offering us a bonus of 2 seat pads to make up for the fact that they forgot our order, I can reasonably rate the whole operation 4 stars. Are you guys out-growing your operation? No pressure points on this king-size mattress. Very comfortable and much cooler than previous model.

I was a little afraid of this new mattress as I have had a pillow top for years. But I have to say it is perfect. I sleep better then I ever have. I would incourage you to watch the videos so you can determine which one of the Purple meets your needs.

This bed is incredible! I've struggled with getting a good night's rest for years now. The first night in this bed and I slept soundly. There was no tossing and turning. I was comfortable all night long. I woke up feeling better than ever. My husband and I have always really struggled with finding a bed firm enough for his needs and soft enough for mine. This bed is every bit of PERFECT! We were worried about spending so much money, but it's been absolutely worth it. .

I received my purple mattress today. I was horrified after laying on it an hour that my clothes and hair smelled like what I can only describe as cat urine odor. I sniffed the purple and I turned green. My kids walked in and held their nose and ran out. I do not own any pets. I immediately contacted Purple and got sent an email to take a picture. What? Exactly what does a picture of an odor look like? I'm curious. What is this chemical on my hair and clothes and now filled up my home smelling like cat urine. Im going to call my State attorney General and find out what chemical my family is being expised to by Friday if Purple doesn't help me immediately remove this cat odor mattress from my home and refund me immediately.
