So I have purchased the Purple Mattress after moving out of my boyfriends house. I moved to an apartment and on the 3rd floor. Getting a mattress up there the traditional way would have been torture. So I looked into the Purple Mattress simply for the reason that it is delivered in a bag! Easy to get up to the 3rd floor, with help of course, and the frame was super simple as well. It is comfortable and just what I needed to work on a new me and help with sleep. Thank you Melinda D.

I've had my purple since April and I've never slept so good in my life! I too suffer from chronic back pain, and wake up so much more refreshed and much less pain. I have to sleep on my side since I have my back pain, and with our Sleep Number bed I woke up with excruciating shoulder and hip pain. Since the Purple, NO shoulder or hip pain at all!!! I've referred 5 people to get your bed, 3 have ordered and two more are really investigating it. So far they all love it! Thank you for making my life so much better and my QUALITY of life, a complete 180 degrees!! ❤️ you Purple!! Oh and I'm excited for our two pillows to arrive in February. Wish it was sooner though... Now I have the purple sheets on the way and received the Purple platform a month ago (which is great, giving tons of storage space underneath!). Once the pillows and sheets arrive, I will be completely "Purplefect"!!

Previously we had a nice namebrand inner spring, 1.5" pillow top mattress, with an added 2" memory foam pad and a mattress pad heater. It was a good combo but after 20 years it was developed a 'valley' in the middle so our sleep was not as pain-free as we wanted and it was sometimes a 'challenge' to climb out of the middle so we decided to get another one. My significant other found this purple site and we were both intrigued by the support/cradle combo of the purple and base foams. She also liked the description of how it sleeps cooler as she typically has 2-4 hot flashes a night and has to throw off all the covers. We ordered the purple king, enjoyed the numerous email updates on the shipping status and got the bed. A) It is 150 lbs - there are 2 handles on each end which really help to carry it. B) The attached cutter really does go easily through the straps and all just like they say. C) It does open quickly once finally cut loose so be prepared and don't leave fragile things on headboards/dressers nearby it case it unfolds and hits one of those. It was fully uncompressed in a short time and we really liked the way it gently cradled while also giving full support. Compared to our previous combo, it was not as 'cushy' as we were used to - but it did a great job of keeping the back aligned whether on our side or back just as advertised. Our first night, we used a set of high thread count cotton sheets (no stretch) and discovered the sheet does make a difference in the performance of the purple foam cradling. Purple recommends a stretchy sheet so we got one for night 2+ and the stretchy sheet was a significant improvement to allow the Purple to do its thing. As for the cooling - she has not had to throw the sheets off yet due to a hot flash, even after a few weeks! Neither of us feels the other person move or toss or flip or get out of bed either - the 'isolation' factor is fantastic. So - why are we not keeping it? Two reasons. First, we realized we both prefer more sinkage (a 'cushier' feel), something lower on the firmness scale. Two - for me (the guy) it slept too cool. While she loved it, I was feeling cold and typically didn't sleep well because of that. I could wear more to bed to offset that but I am a very picky sleeper (she teases me about how much effort I go through to get everything just right) and that was not something I wanted to do. After a month, I had to admit that my sleep was not as good as I wanted it to be for the next 5-20 years. She would have kept it if was just her but we had agreed that whatever we bought had to work well for both of us. Let me take a minute to discuss the customer service before I finish - it is fantastic! There was a minor issue with the mattress - that had no affect on its performance - but when we called Purple at 8:30pm (presumably to leave a message), the phone was answered and the issue immediately and pleasantly resolved. Plus when we decided to not keep the mattress, they were again professional, pleasant and expressed again they wanted us to be happy with the purchase. So the mattress does everything they advertise, their customer service is exceptional and if it sounds like this is a mattress that could work for you then we would still encourage you to give it a try.

We loved our purple mattress but it ended up having an issue after a few months and we contacted their customer service and they couldn't have been better. Great company and we have definitely recommended the Purple mattress to our friends.....so much that our UPS driver tells us to quit telling people! She has to carry the mattresses to their doors for deliver and it's not an easy job!

I bought my King size Purple mattress nearly two years ago. First, some background information. We had a Tempurpedic before that and we would wake up with numbness and tingling in our shoulders, arms and hips. I'm 6'2" and 220 pounds. My wife is 5'0" and 105 pounds. We live in a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. I am a side sleeper primarily and I struggle to fall asleep on my back unless I'm utterly exhausted (and even then I end up on my side eventually). My wife is what would probably be called a combo sleeper. She'll sleep on her side to spoon with me but she primarily falls asleep on her back and at times she sleeps on her stomach as well. When we got the Purple mattress, I immediately loved it. It's so cool to the touch (we both sleep relatively hot). My wife didn't love it right away but she didn't hate the Tempurpedic as much as I did either so she just went with it for me. About a year into having the mattress I started to have the same issues as the Tempurpedic. I had numbness and pain in my shoulders and hips. And my lower back would hurt. My wife started to have lower back pain too. So, we decided to spin the mattress around to see if that would help. And for a while, it did. But it's as though the mattress wears out or starts to sag easier under our weight. I do tend to sleep close to the side and sometimes my wife will curl up next to me, so maybe we are putting too much weight on one side. Today we finally bought another mattress after two years. If anything above sounds like you, I recommend you pass.

I was worried that I heard so many great stories of the purple mattress that I would get it and it wouldn't live up to the hype.. but I was so wrong. After a long day or even just a normal day I look forward to crawling into bed EVERY day. It's horrible trying to explain the feeling so I bring my little purple sample everywhere I am all about spending money wisely and to be honest I had to be a little tipsy to convince myself to click purchase on a kind size mattress but I don't regret it at all! Best purchase ever

I was terrified to buy a bed online but my back and neck problems are not getting any better the older I get. So I hit the buy button and hoped for the best. It's been 2 weeks and even my hubby is pleased with this bed. I wake up with no issues. My hubby has shoulder problems and is a side sleeper and wakes with no issues. I am thinking about trying the pillows next.

Have always wanted a purple mattress but cost was always an issue. I finally decided to make the switch when my husband and I were suffering from overall aches, pains And insomnia from our old mattress. We upgraded to a king and definitely can't imagine our life before this mattress. My husband is a veteran who suffers from PTSD and sleeping problems, this mattress has changed everything for him... He can fall asleep easily, he does not toss and turn and he wakes up feeling great and refreshed. I will recommend this mattress to all my friends.. IT IS AMAZING.

As a mixed sleeper, I struggled to find a way to stay comfortable on my side (due to my cartoonishly broad shoulders) and back. Not anymore, this mattress consumes me with comfort I didnt expect possible, sometimes when I jump in after a long day to this ice cold mattress chills me to my very core... because it sleeps incredibly cool.... only to be awoken at the crack of dawn to the singing of hummingbirds and profound warmth that nestles me in a perfectly balanced bliss only an angels feathers could provide.... or science.... either way, I would recommend this mattress and having gotten the cheapest twin option I could I expect the quality would rise along with the later models they offer. Also, I no longer wake up with back pain. Tis' now but a bitter memory.

Would have given it 0 stars but that wasn't a choice. Worst night sleep of my life. Mattress has no give and feels like you are sleeping on a rock. Impossible to get comfortable. Finally fell asleep for a few hours and woke up with a sore back and stiff neck. Eventually moved to the couch and slept much better. Will be retiring asap.
