I researched like a crazy man before committing to a mattress purchase. I have a history of back pain and terrible sleep. I read about the break in period, but I didn't want to believe that would be the case for me. After 9 years on a cheap mattress, it took me about 2 weeks to adjust to the purple mattress. Now that I've adjusted, I can't believe how incredible I feel and how good my sleep is! My Fitbit tracks my sleep and there is a major difference in my quality of sleep. The only thing I don't like (sarcasm) is that I fall asleep so fast and stay asleep that I don't feel like I really get to enjoy it while I'm awake :). Also, their customer service is top notch. Truly an incredible mattress with the perfect support for me. No more back pain!

It's been life changing for my husband and I we just hit our 1 year mark of living together and it's completly changed our sleep. We both sleep 100x better he's a back sleeper & im a side sleeper and with him being 6"5 and 200+ lbs I don't ever feel him move in the middle of the night anymore I highly recommend it

I have had the PURPLE for just a little over a month...and I am definitely sleeping better than I have in a long time. I tried the memory foam, didn't like how I could not get out of bed, felt like I was sinking in quicksand...not so with the PURPLE.... firm yet soft enough to move in and out of without disturbing the wife. I've had the Purple Mattress now for a little over two weeks and I really want to give it a shot. I had a tempurpedic beforehand and I replaced it after 13 years because it started to sag where I would lay and I'd wake up with mid back pain. The Purple commercials were great at grabbing my attention giving me hope in thinking this bed would be glorious. When I laid down on it the first time, I feel like I sunk into the mattress much like my previous one, but I figured it was supposed to do that and I'd give it an honest chance. It is comfortable don't get me wrong, it could be that I just need a firmer matteress. I was just hoping that the "just right right" feeling would hold true for me. I do wake up some mornings feeling refreshed and pain free, but that is not the norm unfortunately. I know other people who have the Purple and they love it. This is just my opinion on how I feel when lying in the bed and nothing against its construction. It does appear to be well made and I also bought the Purple frame which is very sturdy and quiet and fits inside my existing queen bed frame perfectly without any issues. Over all, I think the mattress could be a little firmer. The Purple pillow is ok, it doesn't need to be fluffed and doesn't move on you during the night. The Purple bed protector is pretty good too, allowing you to feel the honey comb type construction of the bed while lying in it. I haven't spilled anything yet so I can't comment on its protective properties. I hope this review is helpful.

I had been suffering from severe shoulder and neck pain for months. Over the counter pain medication and physical therapy did nothing to relieve it. Realizing that it was most likely caused by my sleep position, I decided to try to make some changes. I first tried various pillow systems, wedges, curved pillows, you name it. Relief was minimal at best. I finally decided that my old memory foam mattress was the culprit and no relief was to be had while I was still sleeping on it. As always, I over researched mattresses, but kept coming back to the Purple mattress, as I was intrigued by its construction and design. I purchased the original mattress and couldn't wait to set it up. On my old memory foam mattress, there was something of a breaking in period; not with the Purple mattress! I could feel the difference immediately. The Purple layer cradles and supports you in every position right out of the gate. I can sleep all night on my side and wake in the morning pain free. The mattress is also markedly cooler that my old mattress, as air is able to circulate through it and I don't wake up in a puddle of my own sweat. I would definitely would and have recommended the Purple mattress to anyone considering a mattress purchase. It is my intention to also purchase a matching pillow to really push my comfort level over the top! Also, the sheets are fantastic! Light and comfortable!!

The quality of sleep does reflect in the price range. The mattress itself is VERY cold which I originally wanted but it takes some getting used too since the cold induces nightmares and I had multiple of those for the first few nights. Not experiencing any shoulder/arm pain as a side sleeper.

The mattress arrived during the expected delivery time - several weeks lag time when we ordered. It was relatively easy to unpack. It smelled awfully like stale cigarettes. We only slept on it one night then went away on vacation for a week and it smelled a bit better when we returned but still could smell the cigarette smell up close - as in sleeping level close. I did not like the feel of the Purple mattress at all. It was way too firm and it felt very springy when moving during the night. I hated my old mattress but I never woke up with back or hip pain with it. But with purple I had pain in the morning! I was honestly shocked considering the reviews. When my husband would shift I felt it ripple across the top "purple" layer like a wave. It honestly felt hot to me too. When I would get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and come back to bed my spot would still feel quite warm. I desperately wanted to like this mattress as I HATED my old spring mattress but after over a month of trying to sleep on it I just couldn't stand it any more. I requested a return/refund and purple was polite and helpful. However, it was picked up by a junk company so I am not too sure about their claim that it is donated to a family in need. Regardless, I got my refund and am trying a different mattress now. I'm sad Purple did not work out for me I was very excited based on all the hype and reviews.

I am a disabled veteran with severe lower back pain. Laying on my new mattress the first time was amazing. The support for my back kept it in a neutral position and eased the pain immediately. I will always have pain but this mattress helps tremendously. Before on my old spring mattress getting up in the morning was extremely painful. There were times I couldn't stand up straight for some time. With the purple mattress I have no problems getting up in the morning. Again like I said I will always have some pain but this mattress has made a huge difference in my sleep and mobility. With a 100 day trial period what's to lose!? I'm sold and will never go back to a spring mattress.

i switched to purple from my dreaded Tempurpedic which i hated. within two sleeps i knew it would be better than the 7 years i gutted it out with the overrated other. purple sleeps cool! the spongy material is a little bit to get used to but i just think it's the best.

I have spent thousands on so many different types of mattresses to no avail. Not even my latest Nectar could help me. I am disabled. I have osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and degenerative disc disease. There has been no relief for me in the bedding department until now. Goldilocks was RIGHT! This is truly a miracle. First of all, I had to remove my old mattress, unpack the new Purple, place it on my frame, then sheets... whew, after that alone my pain level was at least a 9. Within minutes of laying on this bed the first time, my pain level noticeably dropped. MINUTES! Now I am not saying that everyone will have the same results I had on the Purple mattress, but I am saying that if you are still searching for pain relief, you owe it to yourself to try this one next. Thank you Purple for this outstanding product!!
