We had high hopes for the Purple mattress. We were replacing a nearly 20 year old innerspring w Box spring mattress. At first it was great but after a week or two I am noticing some issues that may break the deal causing us to return it at the end of our trial. If I lay on my back which i usually do for part of the night it is pretty comfortable but as I turn to the side I feel like I am bottoming out and feel pressure on my hips that can keep me awake. It was OK when we put it on top of our existing box spring but once we removed the box spring and set it up on a mattess base you could really tell the difference. I definitely do not love it. The mattress is also annoyingly loud with the purple mattress protector on it. You can hear crinkling anytime you move and I also wonder how the breathability and coolness factor is actually achieved once the protector is on. Unfortunately. with that said I am leaning more towards returning it than keeping it. I had high hopes for the mattress but so far it has underperformed

Ordering was easy. Web site is great and easy to follow. Research was easy..lots of information available both on the site and from reviewers online. I was nervous to buy before I try, but the information is easy to find. Package arrived on time and in perfect condition that I could tell. Definitely a two person lift though to get it to the bedroom and install it. It's heavier and bulkier than a regular mattress. Comfort is great. at 150lbs I feel like I am almost floating on the mattress. I keep cool throughout the night in the summer.

Before we got our purple mattress I would get up so stiff and in pain that it would take all of an hour for me to be able to move normally. I have bursitis in my hip so I have back problems because of that. Since we got the purple, I still have a little stiffness when I get up, but I'm completely recovered by the time I get to my door. That's 60 minutes down to 10-15 seconds!! thank you Purple!

I am blown away so far!! Received my king mattress, cover, purple pillows, sleep mask, sheets 5 days from when I placed my order, a week before Christmas and it's so wonderfully comforting!! I can't wait to experience rest! Christmas bonus money well spent!!

I bought the original Purple mattress and all I have to say is wow. I love how cool it stays while I sleep. I used to sweat so much while I slept, but now that's completely gone. It's not too soft, and not too firm - I'd rate it around a 7 out of 10 for firmness. Perfect bed and I don't regret buying at all.

So far so good. It only took about 3 nights for me to finally get a full nights sleep & wake up pain free. The pillow arrived later than the mattress but has also been a blessing. The pillow/mattress combo is working well. Praise God! PS. The sheets are amazing too. Definitely plan on ordering more sheets. Thank you for all your efforts. I'm going to start off by saying I'm a fan! I never took the time to write a review before because let's face it, usually you only write when you aren't happy.... I have been happy with my purchases. My first purple purchase was a mattress about two- three years ago. It was and has been amazing! I have owned a crazy number of types of mattresses with some pretty ridiculous price tags (17k was about the biggest) and I can honestly say the purple mattress is the only one I still own out of all of them! Since my original purchase we have added an additional mattress and four pillows (2 OG and 2 of the latest). I didn't go with the new mattress when we decided to purchase our second because quite frankly if it's not broke why fix it? We love our second one as much as our first! The pillows..... it was kinda broke, so we kept our faith and they redeemed themselves with the second one! The same with mattresses, I have had my fair collection of pillows and the newest ones from purple are pretty dang comfy! It's like they watched the guy with the my pillow ad and said hey I'm gonna take his slogan and go actually make the pillow they are talking about (the my pillow guy didn't even do that)...... so basically if you want an all around comfy mattress that actually makes your body feel amazing the next day then purple is the best bang for your buck! I'm seriously waiting for our new puppy to get out of the puppy stage so I can order the pet bed.

I got the Purple 3 about 2 months ago and I have to say this is a great option for anyone. It is on the medium to firm side so keep that in mind. It is high quality and most importantly it got rid of my back pain. Like it's actually gone, I cant believe it. The bed is very comfy, stays at a neutral temp and it's bouncy which I like. If you are a back sleeper, don't think twice this bed will be amazing for you. If you are a side sleeper, like I am, I find it to be a little firm on the shoulders but again it completely relieved by back pain so no big deal. I am 6'4 and 210 lbs. I have to warn you it's a little painful the first week or so as you get used to sleeping on a quality bed. My ribs hurt for awhile but now everything is fine and they only time I wake up in pain is when I'm sleeping on a non-Purple bed. I won't give it 5 stars because it's expensive and the delivery took over a month. All in all it's a great bed.

We had no idea if this mattress was going to be a winner or a dud, but we had nothing to lose. Free shipping and 100% money back for returns within 100 days - made the gamble less risky. We've been sleeping on the Purple mattress for 10 weeks and haven't looked back. One of us (male) was worried that it was going to be too soft - but it's not. It's pretty amazing how it conforms to our body. No sinking into a marshmallow and no pressure points. Our last mattress was too firm so I added a memory foam topper. I (female) sleep on my side. I was only getting about 3 hours of sleep before the pain in my hip would wake me. My sister has a new hybrid mattress or something with a memory foam pillow top. I tried it out. The memory foam on her mattress squishes under the hips, but provides not support for the waist. She sleeps with a small additional pillow under her waist. The Purple mattress would be an improvement for her. I wish I could afford to give one to everyone in my family. It's so comfortable that I don't find that I have to sleep on my side all night. I can be on my back comfortably for the first time in years. The alarm clock woke me in the morning instead of pain waking me in the night. That was after the first night. I was surprised to have slept the whole night. The Purple mattress feels temperature neutral to me. Not warm or sweaty; not cool and airy. Just comfy.

So I've slept on just about everything out there including a sleep number bed, memory foam mattress, and traditional beds. All of these have on thing in common for me, they don't do for side sleepers. I would either end up with lower or upper back pain depending on which bed I was sleeping on. Purple has solved the problem between soft and support. I'd recommend for all side sleepers to at least try this bed.
