I've had chronic hip and shoulder pain for the past two years while sleeping. I usually toss and turn at night to relieve the pain. I was hoping this mattress would solve the problem since I heard it as excellent for side sleepers. It's been a month and I'm still in so much pain. I weigh 135 lbs and believe I'm not heavy enough for the mid to firm foam to work for me. This mattress probably works great for side sleepers over my weight. I'm gonna give it another month and see if my body adjusts. I would say it's great for back and stomach sleepers.

My husband and I moved to a new country. We needed a new mattress before we went. We were recommended by my sister to get the amazing Purple mattress. However, when it arrived we were a bit sad by the uncomfortable feeling we got when we slept. If we sleep along the edge we feel we will roll off, so we sleep more towards the middle. It makes the bed feel more like a queen than a king. Also, it is a lot smaller (not as thick) than our bed frame, so the head board looks a little funny with it.

We took the plunge with the King Size Purple, and went all out with the Pillow, Bed Sheets, Mattress cover, and Platform Base. So far has been well worth the investment. I use to wake up every morning like a Rice Crispy, with a Snap Crackle Pop, but since the first night to present with the purple, no more Rice Crispy. Temperately it is very cool, so cool in fact my wife bought an electric blanket for those cold winter nights, because it does such a good job at keeping her cool. Definitely a great investment.

So my husband and I have the Purple 2 because we like a firmer bed. We love it so much! No more back pain in the mornings. Then my 19 year old son was jealous of our bed so for his 20th bday I surprised him with his own Purple 2 mattress. We ordered it from Purple.com and it came so fast by Fed Ex. He got the sheets, mattress protector and pillow too. He loves it so much! We are definitely sold on Purple mattresses. I can't imagine ever not having one.

I'm petite (5'2", 100lbs), hourglass-shaped, and a side sleeper. I was so looking forward to the Purple mattress relieving the pressure points in my hips and knees while supporting my waist to keep my back from sinking. But I'm afraid it was just too firm and didn't live up to the hype. I think for a more standard size person the grid would have a little more give, but for me, it simply felt like laying on top a slightly squishy table. The bed is so supportive and feels great when lying on my back while reading, but I just don't sleep that way and once I would turn onto my side it felt like it exacerbated by pressure points. I really wanted it to work, but turns out it just wasn't right for me.

I ordered the king size mattress and tried it fir about 30 days. It felt good. I liked it a lot. However, I like to sit on the bed and work on my laptop at night. It's not a great sit down bed. My wife's back started to ache after sitting on it for a while. Laying down feels good for me. Sitting up to read or work is not so good.

We bought the mattress for my wife since she has osteoarthritis and couldn't sleep in the bed she had. The original matress was 3 years old. After comments from a friend about some people he knew that had back issues and would now sleep through the night we thought we'd give it a try. We have had the mattress for 2 weeks and she now sleeps better than I do. I am jealous and can hardly wait to replace my matress.

I recently purchased a twin and full for my two kids. I took the pillow for myself!!! And immediately noticed the difference between the purple pillow and my memory pillow. The purple pillow did not sleep hot. Goggle it if you don't know what I am referring to. I've also laid on their mattresses and they are much cooler than my Tempur-Pedic. My one con is that these mattresses are heavily. For example, my pillow is at least 25 pounds.

Literally. Had tried many conventional mattresses and been through years of near insomnia but I'm sleeping MUCH better with the Purple Mattress. I usually hold on to return packaging but I'm so sure about this one that I got rid of the return packaging since I'm keeping this one. 10/10

I purchased this bed back in February didn't put in up till the end of the month and it still came out well although the corners weren't coming up i called and they immediately sent me a warranty replacement even after i put that bed up it still slept AMAZING i have a hip issue that is complicated but it allows me to lay down after a 12hr work day and immediately feel the pressure of my hip and my lower back to go away i sleep amazing on it and i wouldn't spend this amount on any other mattress
